The Druid Getafix has learned that the Crystal Menhir is fractured and it's up to our favorite Gauls to retrieve the pieces and restore the Crystal to its former glory. You play theAsterix and Obelix XXL 3: The Crystal Menhir is a 3D Beat 'Em Up adventure starring all the loved characters from the Asterix Comic franchise, adding another installment to the tales started 60+ Years ago! The Druid Getafix has learned that the Crystal Menhir is fractured and it's up to our favorite Gauls to retrieve the pieces and restore the Crystal to its former glory. You play the adventure as Asterix and Obelix, with the ability to switch between the two as you see fit. There isn't much difference between the two with the exception of Obelix's ability to interact with the Menhir, and Asterix can quaff potions for bursts of prowess. The game delivers an incredible feel, bringing the comics to life in this rich and colorful environment. The repetitive nature of the gameplay does leave a little to be desired, as spamming the slap attack, with a few special moves thrown in dispatches with most groups of enemies. With the Romans as abundant as they are, you rarely find yourself without the energy to perform a special move. This game can be incredibly fun in small bursts, enjoying the corny jokes we've loved the comics for. Fans of the Franchise should grab Asterix and Obelix XXL3 and those who like a good Beat 'Em Up Adventure will find one here.… Expand

    Unfortunately Asterix & Obelix XXL 3 let us down in every aspect of its design, failing to continue what we got out of original XXL 2 and, most importantly, failing the legacy of the legendary comics it is based upon.

    It’s unfortunate then that their license has been relinquished to such a bland and uninspired creation in Asterix & Obelix XXL 3: The Crystal Menhir on Xbox One, especially when previous entries have been quirky, imaginative titles.

    Asterix & Obelix XXL 3 offers a turn in the series towards a more direct action. Its new control in zenithal view, along with a fun adventure that can finally be played in cooperative, will delight the followers of so beloved characters.
