    Better than the last DLC story line. The new area reminds me of the Curse of the Pharaohs from Origins. The new area is small but sufficiently large enough for a DLC. The new enemies are not really any different than the regular enemies. But the new "abilities" aren't useful at all. Unless you happen to already be using the 3 abilities they enhance then the new enhancements have no impact.Better than the last DLC story line. Not that you need new abilities anyway since if you completed the main story already then you're still overpowered.

    The biggest letdown to the DLC, right now, is the story. It's like Ubi is trying to build a soap opera with mixed story lines and you playing all sides. Supposedly the decisions you make impacts the ending but it really doesn't seem to matter. Additionally there is a focus in the story on "having to get permission" to leave and yet you can use the map to go back to Greece anytime you want. This sort of puts the whole concept of the story at odds. Overall, ignoring the story, it is a better DLC than the last story arc. Hopefully Ubi won't mess it up like in the next set of stories.    … Expand

    The visuals are stunning in this level, with huge heights. The story is quite lackluster, except for the appearances of Greek Heroes. The rewards are good as well, with many new unique activities. But most of this is lackluster after a little bit of playing it. Overall, I don't recommend it.

It contains really beautiful environments, but doesn’t have a compelling story. The villain doesn’t make a lot of sense with what is going on, which is unfortunate because there was a lot of potential here.     Three part review:

    Episode 1: - Far too open, to the point where it's tedious. To get a good ending you literally need to constantly be referencing guides to figure what quests are next and what order you want to do the quests in to achieve the best ending. - Far too many choices that will impact far too many parts of the story, and if you don't do certain missions in the right order    Three part review:

    Episode 1:
    - Far too open, to the point where it's tedious. To get a good ending you literally need to constantly be referencing guides to figure what quests are next and what order you want to do the quests in to achieve the best ending.
    - Far too many choices that will impact far too many parts of the story, and if you don't do certain missions in the right order then you'll wind up not even being able to do all of the choices you want. This leads to revisiting the same locations multiple times and fighting the same enemies more than once. The entire flow of this episode has been so bad that it's taken me out of the game completely.
    - Note: In fact I'm quite a few hours in and because I didn't get to a specific quest in time, I'm not forced to either load back two hours past (since apparently I have 5 autosaves that took place in the same location in the same mission, too late to go back and get the missing quest, and then another one that is hours ago.

    Episode 2:
    - Better pacing, but still not good.
    - Annoying to climb terrain but not as bad as episode 2.
    - Decent enough voice acting and some cool cutscenes and characters.
    - Tedious combat.

    Episode 3:
    - Absolutely awful combat. Whose idea was it to disguise full scale bosses as Atlantean Polemarchs? They are complete bullet sponges and their attacks are BEYOND FRUSTRATING. They'll remove ALL of your adrenaline immediately even if you're mid overpower attack. They spawn WAY TOO MANY circle attacks (AOE) which are far too large given the tiny little area you have to fight them in. Their melee attacks are way too powerful as well and have too much range. You can't do anything on them and they eat your health way too fast. One of them is in such a tight area that he made for a tougher fight than any boss in the game, including the boar. This is NOT FUN Ubisoft. They are way too powerful and have way too much health. They shouldn't be spawned beside other enemies either.
    - AWFUL pacing. I can't even enter half the locations because I don't have knowledge level 1 (let alone 2 or 3). This is causing me to run around random locations trying to boost my knowledge level by measly 3 points at a time.

    With all that being said, the entire point of this DLC is pointless to the main story. I won't say how, but the only relevant details are modern day. Nothing you do in this DLC as Kassandra/Alexios actually matters and it's a huge waste of time.

    TLDR: Episode one has AWFUL pacing, episode 2 is the best one despite being tedious, episode 3 has awful pacing and the worst combat out of the entire game and both DLCs. Seriously what gives with these "Polemarchs"?? Has Ubisoft ever even tested this???

    Final conclusion after beating game: This DLC adds a lot of lore for the Isu and for that it gets a 5/10, but so much of this was frustrating.    … Expand

    A good addition to the game, not as good as the second episode, though. Recommended.

    As the first part of the second major story DLC for Assassin's Creed Odyssey, Fields of Elysium is both impressive and disappointing. It is impressive in how it adds to the already vast world of Assassin's Creed Odyssey and disappointing in how the gameplay loop, while tweaked, doesn't really change from what was found in the main game. There's a lot of potential here, and I'm looking forward to seeing what Ubisoft delivers in episode 2.

    With an epic roster of new enemies and a beautiful zone (the Elyseum in the first entry of this story arc), Fate of Atlantis offers a really good experience, well integrated into the present-days side-story with Layla.
