    Alekhine's Gun hardly does anything right. The gameplay feels ancient and the AI is not particularly intelligent. It's based on a concept we enjoyed in the past, but in a shape that doesn't make it enjoyable anymore.

    In the rare moments where its elements come together, you’ll be playing a neat, but irrelevant Hitman clone. But most of the time you’re just annoyed by technical and AI shortcomings.

    Given another year or two this might have turned out to be a solid Hitman alternative, but as it stands Alekhine’s Gun fails on every level – poor AI, abysmal frame rate, sub-par visuals, and horrendous shooting.

    I suppose I should have realized Alekhine's Gun was going to have quality concern issues following its numerous delays. I just wasn't aware of how severe these problems would be, as the stale gameplay and dated graphics barely put it on level with games from the last console generation.

    This is the first game I have played where I found no positives!     Firstly, the stealth doesn't work as you can move in cover, but not turn corners!
    Secondly, whenever you pick up and move an enemy soldier, the body looses all texture and looks like a metal gear solid character!
    Worst of all, I paid a whole thirty-two pounds for a game not even worth getting on games with gold.

Graphics are worse than some 360 games, i can see the damn polygons in the characters head and e has only 8 movement directions: Forward, backward, left, right, forward right diagonal, forward left diagonal, backward right diagonal and backward left diagonal. nothing in between. games from ps1 and OG xbox had more movement than that. Controls are horrible and its for THE XBOX ONE AND PS4. THIS GARBAGE COULD RUN ON MY OLD 360 AND IF IT WAS RELEASED BACK THEN I STILL WOULD PICK ANOTHER GAME.… Full Review »
