A Winter’s Daydream on Xbox One is cheap, which helps in its extremely short length of just 3 hours, but I fear that this low price point won’t cover the expensive mistake that this ‘game’ makes. That is, forgetting to become a game at all.

A Winters Daydream is a text-based, moving story. Despite being available in the 'Games' store, this is not really what I consider a "game". AA Winters Daydream is a text-based, moving story. Despite being available in the 'Games' store, this is not really what I consider a "game". A Winters Daydream is a moving Storybook, with approximately 3 hours of story. Standard, progression of the text is manual, but an automatic scrolling option, with a speed adjuster, is available in the menu. It's about a young man returning home for the first time from his first year in college in the big city (Tokyo). After having reunited with his family and remembering how his relationship with his sister is, he decides to visit with his Grandmother for a reprieve from her, after just one night of interaction. While at his grandmother's, in the deep country, a miraculous thing happens, and his Grandmother is turned back into a teenager! Though telling you much more would spoil the story! Pressing forth incredible family and personal morals, and a wonderful life lesson, this is a great story to experience. Full Review »
