Armageddon is one of the best recent party games in the Arcade service of Xbox 360, and probably the best Worms game to date.
-
BoomtownWhy Team17 didn't just make this game the first time around instead of last year's abomination, I don't know, but it was worth the wait. Fortunately, this time it's actually worth looking into.
-
The new weapons, improved campaign and great Xbox LIVE game modes make Worms 2: Armageddon, like its predecessor, a contender for best Xbox LIVE Arcade title.
-
While the unlocking system is a pain to get used to, the unlocks make it worth suffering through, for the most part. And like the first Worms, Armageddon supports DLC, so there's a good chance extra content will be showing up by the time you are through with everything it has to offer. Worms, assemble!
-
This Worms release is by far one of the best in recent memory and does an excellent job of providing fresh graphics that remain true to the original style.
-
Best weapons to date, crystal clear sound, easier control than previous Worms games.
-
Worms 2: Armageddon is a great arcade title that offers more content than most retail boxes, and at times, better gameplay.
-
This Xbox 360 edition is the best Worms game to date, but the concept could definitely use an overhaul.

games(TM)An emergent party game that's fun for everyone to take part in even if they don't crawl away the victor. [July 2009, p.130]
-
By improving on its predecessor, Worms 2: Armageddon adeptly captures the thrill and hilarity of this classic series.
-
If you haven't played Worms before, pick this up. Otherwise, you're probably best to stick with what you've got. Worms 2: Armageddon is great fun, just as it was ten years ago.
-
This is one of the most fun multiplayer games around, and now the single-player campaign provides a satisfying experience, as well.
-
At the end of the day, Worms 2: Armageddon is an entertaining game and is a breath of fresh air from stock standard sports and shooters.
-
Between all of the solo gaming available, the tons of fun you can have on Xbox Live, and the potential for more of both with DLC, you're looking at a great purchase for just 800 Microsoft Points ($10 / £6.80).
-
The campaign mode is genuinely good fun, mixing in puzzle levels that really do challenge you to think outside of the box.

Official Xbox Magazine UKStill awesome online. [Aug 2009, p.94]
-
Worms 2: Armageddon is a worthy follow-up to 2007's Worms. With an improved online infrastructure, new vertical levels and a variety of gameplay options, the game will keep you entertained for a long time.
-
Worms 2: Armageddon is the complete XBLA answer to the franchise that fans have been waiting for. Worms 2 is also good enough for me to recommend it to new fans of the series; even more so than the free PC demos floating about in cyberspace.
-
Though I slightly miss the facility to generate random landscape types, this is a tiny insignificant niggle. Worms 2: Armageddon is sublime and should definitely be high on your XBLA shopping list.
-
Worms 2 is one of the most enjoyable arcade games out there. If you want an addictive multiplayer game for no more than 800 MS points then there is none better.
-
For the $10 price of admission, Worms 2: Armageddon is a hard game to pass up if you've ever remotely been interested in the series. There's a slew of content here and lots of replay value due to the massive quantity of unlockables and level of customization that the game allows.
