Although graphically disappointing this game is a very good snooker sim. Controls are the same as previous versions on original X Box and are very simple to pick up. There is a new feature that predicts the area where your cue ball will end up after the shot which improves your ability to make the right shot selection without making the game too easy. There is a new feature that predicts the area where your cue ball will end up after the shot which improves your ability to make the right shot selection without making the game too easy. Leave Ronnie O'Sullivan with an easy shot and an open table and you're still gonna get your ass kicked! Haven't played this online yet so can't comment on this aspect though I would imagine sitting watching somebody else at the table for long periods would be pretty boring. Also there is pool on offer but this is ruined by the fact that the ball you aim for is surrounded by big arrow markers that make seeing where you are aiming very difficult. Still if you liked the previous games or are looking for your first snooker game then you should get this. Expand

A great snooker game which allows you to feel like a snooker player and make some nice pots. The pool is another obvious attraction if you enjoy that aswell.

I'm really enjoying this game. Played nothing else since getting it one week ago. It really does play like snooker and what keeps me coming back for more is the championship mode and to see if i can break my highest breaks. Not played the pool yet so cannot comment on that. If you like playing/watching real snooker, you will enjoy this.

WSC 2007 is a very solid first-outing for the sport on Xbox 360, although it's a bit slow in places. A frame of pool in the pub iwth mates is going to be more fun, but so far, this is the best Xbox 360 snooker sim. [Jan 2007, p.92]

An entertaining game caught in the somewhat unusual position of having no absolutely satisfactory control method. [Issue 15, p.88]
  3. It's certainly lacking in the presentation department and features the odd bug and control issue, but snooker fans will still find an awful lot to enjoy. Alone, online or on the same console with a friend, there's months of entertainment to be found here, even if it isn't really a next-gen experience.
