Apr 3, 2012Oblivion I think is Bethesda's masterpiece so far. It only really has funny bugs and that at the current update, possibly the last. In Skyrim I have found about 30 game crashing bugs, so I end up playing Oblivion way more.
Boasting 16 miles squared (40km) of land, it is a pretty massive game. Of course Daggerfall was 487,000 square kilometres but that was randomly generated. -
Nov 14, 2012Ok after Skyrim hiting my No.1 game of all time I had to try Oblivion. Oblivion is a amazing game that should not be given a zero for graphics for a 6 year old game(Graphes are not everything peeps). Now im a huge fan of the Elder Scrolls series. As soon as I compete this gae in getting Morrow Wind. The Elder Scrolls IV: Obivion 9.5/10

Jun 27, 2012Easily one of my most played games ever, Oblivion introduced me to the accessible open world RPG, and after many many hours of complete immersion amongst the amazing forest landscape, I finally realized that I had completed everything. Great fun.

Dec 29, 2012Oblivion can be a frustrating experience, you are presented with an intriguing setting that doesn't live up to its potential. I found myself wanting more out of the various regions in Cyrodill. The leveling system leaves much to be desired, you can quickly find yourself out-matched if you aren't careful. Despite this glaring flaw, Oblivion stands as a monumental achievement in gaming.

Apr 11, 2014Fantastic world to play in, very well done, you can see that the designers appreciate what they are making. Another game that steals hours of my time:)

May 30, 2013One of the greatest RPG's of all time. Oblivion is a gem. A large open world, lots of literature to read, many quests and things to do and a wonderful combat system. Though it comes with its fair share of glitches, it's no excuse to not play this game. You thought Skyrim was good? Well you haven't played Oblivion. Just go! Buy this game and thank me later!

Nov 11, 2013This is a great game. The things I hated about Morrowind is gone but the only problem I have with this game is the guide arrow & how the game feels so piecefull that if you want to get in a fight then you will have to go into a cave, ruins, ect.
-
Dec 2, 2013Great game, huge map to explore and countless quests to complete. Don't be fooled by the WoW nerds who are giving this game poor reviews to try to lower the score. The game is fun and you can easily spend 50+ hours on this game without even touching the main quest.
-
Dec 23, 2013My Favorite Game on Xbox! The dungeons are fun, the quests are unique and interesting. The lore is fantastic! Everything about this game is amazing! My only complaint is you spend a lot of time in your menu and quest journals.
-
Dec 24, 2013Only it's successor Skyrim boasts a better Fantasy RPG experience.
At the time it came out, simply one of the greatest games to ever hit the shelves and while it does have some flaws, especially related to certain combat mechanics, to this day it rivals most RPGs for quality. -
Jan 6, 2014Best game ever I LOVE IT it's better than skyrim it isn't just kill this kill that there is actual strategy like that dark brotherhood quest where you have to kill the shi captai n and instead of walking in and killing him you hide in a box and pop out
-
Mar 24, 2014The leveling system is broken, the graphics haven't aged well, everything looks generic, the combat system is atrocious, ... yet I love this game and its freedom & magical atmosphere. Daggerfall & Morrowind are true classics, Skyrim is better in nearly every way, but Oblivion has so much heart.

Aug 7, 2019One of the best games i ever played in my xbox 360. The ambiance of the game and the possibilities that have are fantastic. every fan of rpg, have to play this game!
-
Feb 25, 2015Around this time this is one of the best games I've ever played hands down. The art work. Man every thing when I first found this game I was hooked love the idea. Yes there was a glitch or two but with how big this game was and a lot of play hours I could understand. Hands down one of the best games I've ever played... :))

Nov 19, 2020Oblivion is still my favorite game ever released, even in 2020. Regardless of the outdated gameplay and graphics, I still like it more than any modern RPG. The Witcher 3 included. If you haven't yet, try it.
-
Mar 6, 2017This game blew me away when i first played it at a friends house and was the main reason i bought an Xbox 360. Up there with the best of the best, a masterpiece for the time and still holds up well over 10 years later.
-
Mar 14, 2017Incredibly immersive and engaging, and a worthy successor to TES:III. Suffers from Bethesda's signature robotic combat which puts a damper on melee mechanics, but overwhelmingly compensates for this with its detailed world-building. Players can interact with nearly every object in the game, and have practically no limit to their options. It's easy to forget there's a real world outside of Cyrodil.

Mar 7, 2022Played this early in my gaming childhood. Def started my love for RPGS. Must play for anyone.
-
May 21, 2019While this game has some pretty nice highs, if I had to describe this game in one word, it would be bland.
-
Apr 9, 2018Fantastic deep world. Almost complete freedom to build the hero you want to play. Must play.
-
Feb 25, 2019The first RPG I played in the 7th generation... it sucked the life out of me. i played it with DLC's and I can sya it's one of best RPG's ever made... You have a vast world to explore, hundreds of dungeons, good questlines, good rolling... It had poor graphics, but who cares ? MUST-PLAY

-
Aug 10, 2018So many memories! This game got me through one of my deployments. My down time was spent with this game. I loved it. It was my first Elder Scrolls game and I am happy that it was. I still play this game till this day...sorry Skyrim.
-
May 7, 2019Arguably the greatest game ever made. Even if you aren't an RPG geek, it still holds up many years later and is better than than Skyrim or the online versions. A must own.
-
Sep 20, 2019I was being unfair. This game IS a game, I'll give it that, but I was bored by this game. The NPC conversations needed some polishing, the AI is sharp and fierce, nothing but, though. It must've been a great game back then. Now, boring. [Note, this is my opinion, so please don't get offended]
-
Feb 26, 2020Fun title with solid gameplay, visuals and role playing mechanics. Interesting setting.
-
May 19, 2023The first RPG game I ever played in 2007. The memories. So good. Hands down the best RPG I have ever played.
-
Apr 23, 2021The game at times was good but at other times it was very frustrating. The gameplay and graphics are very old and the story/side quests weren't interesting at all compared to skyrim in my opinion.
-
Mar 20, 2021This is a fascinating role playing game, with detailed game design and addictive missions and mechanisms.

Jul 2, 2020The story is amazing with some of the most evil characters that I've ever seen, magical experience and great graphics.
-
Sep 28, 2020The Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion is a masterpiece. Oblivion is a open world role playing game with a great main quest and lots of great side quests.

Dec 23, 2020I actually like this game more than skyrim, easily one of the best games ever made.
-
Dec 24, 2020Well, Skyrim is more popular but i like oblivion more. This game literally took everything Morrowwind established and improved it in every way, one reason that this game is superior to skyrim is the massive world and a variety of different side quests.
-
Dec 25, 2020Oblivion definitely was a great game but when skyrim came it became old so fast, don't get me wrong this game is still worth picking up but it's not as good as skyrim in my opinion.

Mar 13, 2022Only Fallout 3 reaches this level of immersion!!! Beautiful game world!!! Incredible high fantasy!!! Brilliant quests!!! Magical game!!! Best in the series and FAR better and more diverse than Skyrim!!!
-
Jul 7, 2022Bah, bah bah bah, bah bah bah, buh bah bah....
Oblivion is better than skyrim, but worse than morrowind.
This was a funny game to spawn cabbages and cheese in, and stick bodies into doors with.
Fun times -
Jul 26, 2022This game is amazing. It's a well put together RPG and even though it has its flaws and glitches it is a great RPG to play and have a fun adventure. I played this front to back, no stone left unturned. It's something I think most players have done and if I were you I would play it too.

Sep 2, 2022"I don’t know you and I don’t care to know you"
10/10 dark brotherhood is one of the best quest lines I've ever seen -
Sep 7, 2022Old and buggy, but still good. I played TES V Skyrim and got deeply immersed in the lore of The Elder Scrolls long before I ever even considered playing this game, but I really love the added context you get when exploring Cyrodiil and going through the main Quest. I'd highly recommend this to anyone who enjoys Skyrim and it's lore and especially to those who are still new to the series as whole.

Sep 7, 2022An ageless game with great story and fun gameplay! love this! Lots of mods too.
-
Sep 7, 2022I find it very addicting so in that sense I wouldn't recommend it. But yeah, it's a great game. Buggy as heck, but a lot of fun.
-
Sep 7, 2022"I've been playing 100+ hours and so many things i haven't discovered, even i just close 9 oblivion gate."
-
Sep 7, 2022Favorite game of all time, alongside Deus ex 1 and Skyrim. All time great game.
-

-
Sep 9, 2022Good memes, good soundtrack, good quests, funny game masterclass game og gamer game.
-
Sep 9, 2022Even after over a decade of Skyrim, I'd say Oblivion is still worth playing. Skyrim is undoubtedly better-designed as a game, but Oblivion feels more like a fantasy-adventure to me.
-

Sep 9, 2022This is were elder scrolls got good didnt care for the first 3 games to slow.
-
Sep 9, 2022its a classic and a good one. not to changed or messed up by constant updates. A true complete game.
-
Sep 9, 202216 yr old game is refreshing to play, a break from all the high tech glitz & glamour often seen in today's games. The mechanics & elements of this game are unique for its time.
Well worth playing! -
Jun 27, 2023Fantasy RPG done in the FPS style, the menus can be a little fiddly and it's a bit rough around the edges compared to the Mass Effect games, but an enjoyable adventure nonetheless.
-
Jan 26, 2023The quests and guilds in Oblivion are just so damn good. This is definitely a game you should play if you like open world RPGs.
-

-
Feb 28, 2023Stupidly funny game very reliable when you want something to laugh at but other than that its not very special I mean there are a lot of npcs but DO NOT try to walk to places for your whole run it will take days of time overall.

Aug 17, 2023One of the most Nostalgic games from my childhood. The graphics and leveling system don't hold up supe rwell today, but the quests and RPG elements are still S tier
-
Aug 22, 2023One of my favorite games of all time. I played this for hundreds and hundreds of hours.
-
Aug 22, 2023Horrible game. Even for the time the graphics and environments look awful. The soundtrack is dull. The gameplay is extremely boring repetitive. An extremely overrated game from an extremely overrated developer.
Awards & Rankings
-
A refreshing, immersive, massive, satisfying and hugely impressive game.
-
Oblivion not only raises the bar in the visual and audio modules but also in the gameplay and presentation department, making it easily one of the most recommendable titles to anyone who has ever enjoyed the thought of truly doing whatever they want in a video game, in a world where actions actually mean something.
-
Oblivion is so deep it is hard to escape its grasp. Few things keep it down, such as loading times, and a few problems with visuals and sound, but the gameplay, the most important piece is dead-on.
