Dec 24, 2020Well, Skyrim is more popular but i like oblivion more. This game literally took everything Morrowwind established and improved it in every way, one reason that this game is superior to skyrim is the massive world and a variety of different side quests.

Mar 13, 2022Only Fallout 3 reaches this level of immersion!!! Beautiful game world!!! Incredible high fantasy!!! Brilliant quests!!! Magical game!!! Best in the series and FAR better and more diverse than Skyrim!!!
-
Jul 26, 2022This game is amazing. It's a well put together RPG and even though it has its flaws and glitches it is a great RPG to play and have a fun adventure. I played this front to back, no stone left unturned. It's something I think most players have done and if I were you I would play it too.

Sep 2, 2022"I don’t know you and I don’t care to know you"
10/10 dark brotherhood is one of the best quest lines I've ever seen -
Sep 7, 2022Old and buggy, but still good. I played TES V Skyrim and got deeply immersed in the lore of The Elder Scrolls long before I ever even considered playing this game, but I really love the added context you get when exploring Cyrodiil and going through the main Quest. I'd highly recommend this to anyone who enjoys Skyrim and it's lore and especially to those who are still new to the series as whole.

-
Sep 7, 2022I find it very addicting so in that sense I wouldn't recommend it. But yeah, it's a great game. Buggy as heck, but a lot of fun.
-
Sep 7, 2022"I've been playing 100+ hours and so many things i haven't discovered, even i just close 9 oblivion gate."
-
Sep 7, 2022Favorite game of all time, alongside Deus ex 1 and Skyrim. All time great game.

-
Sep 9, 2022Good memes, good soundtrack, good quests, funny game masterclass game og gamer game.
-
Sep 9, 2022Even after over a decade of Skyrim, I'd say Oblivion is still worth playing. Skyrim is undoubtedly better-designed as a game, but Oblivion feels more like a fantasy-adventure to me.

Sep 9, 2022its a classic and a good one. not to changed or messed up by constant updates. A true complete game.
-
Sep 9, 202216 yr old game is refreshing to play, a break from all the high tech glitz & glamour often seen in today's games. The mechanics & elements of this game are unique for its time.
Well worth playing! -

MikeB.Mar 25, 2006A very well rounded game, with an extremely open ended quest system as well as numerous locations for said quests. Somewhat limited selection of items.

JoeM.Sep 24, 2007A good game, what stops it from getting a ten is its occasional performance issues, which I dont understand, given the power of the 360.

JohnC.Oct 31, 2007This game is amazing, the graphics are sweet, fluid and responsive combat, good character creation, plenty of quests. Easily 150 hours of play to be had - then start again with another created character. If you like RPG and you own a X360 then this is a must have.
-
-
JosephK.Feb 21, 2007Everything present is perfect. The only downside would be the lack of multi-player (online or otherwise). Hopefully the next game will be closer the World of Tamriel rather than prettier same-ol' same-ol'.

-
EthanS.Jun 8, 2007I would give it a 10 because it is addictive but once you get to playing it about 80 hours or so, thats all it is, addictive. But it is one of the greatest gaming experiences I've had.
-
-
RobC.Aug 14, 2007Beautifully made game with a few minor annoyances. But the sheer quality of this game takes them away. It does complicate things a bit at times but also it is very enjoyable.
-
-
NickC.May 3, 2008Oblivion is a breathtakingly epic game. Action packed and very well thought out, you can pretty much create a character and live another life in another world. It has quite a few according to the 120 hours I've been playing, but I would still recommend it to any RPG fan out there.
-
-
LoganW.Jul 8, 2008this game would be a 10.dont get me wrong i love it and play it non-stop.but ive beat just about every quest on the game and also on shivering isles and the 9.so now there is nothing for me 2 do.this game would be amazingly amazing if it were multiplayer.they should make the next game elder scrolls 5:shadow realm online!

DavidM.Sep 22, 2008Minor flaws aside, Oblivion is one of the best, if not the best American RPG I've ever played. The scope of the game is breathtaking and it takes you literally hundreds of hours to see and do everything. If you're looking for a game you can really get into then this is your title.

Oct 29, 2012The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion is simply the most comprehensive game and experience on the Xbox 360 to date. While a few other games on the system might do one or two things as good or slightly better than Oblivion, none of them come close to overwhelming experience that is Oblivion. Simply put, it is the one Xbox 360 game that everyone should own.

May 7, 2011Fantastic, but very boring. I can only play this game for approximately ten minuets and then I get bored. It's lame when you're a vampire and lame when you're hated. But weirdly somehow I love this game.
-
May 28, 2011Plot driven first person medieval rpg. I enjoyed it. was it the best game I have ever played? no. But it was still worth playing. And as for all the people who say this game is boring... Any game where you can rain flaming dogs from the sky, is not boring
-
Jun 1, 2011An spectacular game full of lots of things to do. The story may be bland and the game may be buggy but in terms of role playing and choice it is number 1, because choice isn't just a selection of speech options, it's to go where you want, when you want and do what you want. Simply amazing.

Aug 18, 2011Great game, can just about do anything and everything. Prefect RPG great game and has great story. Something about Oblivion just hook's you in and your stuck. Into a world or imagination and creativity. Absolutely stellar!

Nov 8, 2011I really like this game, though I would have given it roughly an 8.5 due to all the bugs and lack of voice actors (roughly 10?) in this game. For all that you can explore, I was hoping I could do more than just quests. Here's hoping that Skyrim, improves on the genre!
-
Nov 10, 2015One of the best games ever made. It has content to last you for literally 200 hundred hours or more. And thats with ONE character class. The leveling system is stupid though, but it's just a minor complain. PLAY THIS NOW on whatever console you can

Nov 14, 2012Ok after Skyrim hiting my No.1 game of all time I had to try Oblivion. Oblivion is a amazing game that should not be given a zero for graphics for a 6 year old game(Graphes are not everything peeps). Now im a huge fan of the Elder Scrolls series. As soon as I compete this gae in getting Morrow Wind. The Elder Scrolls IV: Obivion 9.5/10

Jun 27, 2012Easily one of my most played games ever, Oblivion introduced me to the accessible open world RPG, and after many many hours of complete immersion amongst the amazing forest landscape, I finally realized that I had completed everything. Great fun.

Dec 29, 2012Oblivion can be a frustrating experience, you are presented with an intriguing setting that doesn't live up to its potential. I found myself wanting more out of the various regions in Cyrodill. The leveling system leaves much to be desired, you can quickly find yourself out-matched if you aren't careful. Despite this glaring flaw, Oblivion stands as a monumental achievement in gaming.
-
Apr 11, 2014Fantastic world to play in, very well done, you can see that the designers appreciate what they are making. Another game that steals hours of my time:)
-
May 30, 2013One of the greatest RPG's of all time. Oblivion is a gem. A large open world, lots of literature to read, many quests and things to do and a wonderful combat system. Though it comes with its fair share of glitches, it's no excuse to not play this game. You thought Skyrim was good? Well you haven't played Oblivion. Just go! Buy this game and thank me later!

Nov 11, 2013This is a great game. The things I hated about Morrowind is gone but the only problem I have with this game is the guide arrow & how the game feels so piecefull that if you want to get in a fight then you will have to go into a cave, ruins, ect.
-
Dec 2, 2013Great game, huge map to explore and countless quests to complete. Don't be fooled by the WoW nerds who are giving this game poor reviews to try to lower the score. The game is fun and you can easily spend 50+ hours on this game without even touching the main quest.
-
Dec 24, 2013Only it's successor Skyrim boasts a better Fantasy RPG experience.
At the time it came out, simply one of the greatest games to ever hit the shelves and while it does have some flaws, especially related to certain combat mechanics, to this day it rivals most RPGs for quality. -

Dec 25, 2020Oblivion definitely was a great game but when skyrim came it became old so fast, don't get me wrong this game is still worth picking up but it's not as good as skyrim in my opinion.
Awards & Rankings
-
A refreshing, immersive, massive, satisfying and hugely impressive game.
-
Oblivion not only raises the bar in the visual and audio modules but also in the gameplay and presentation department, making it easily one of the most recommendable titles to anyone who has ever enjoyed the thought of truly doing whatever they want in a video game, in a world where actions actually mean something.
-
Oblivion is so deep it is hard to escape its grasp. Few things keep it down, such as loading times, and a few problems with visuals and sound, but the gameplay, the most important piece is dead-on.
