Being a huge fan of the DLC from Saints Row The Third, but not entirely one of Saints Row IV I bought this DLC with some skepticism. Unfortunately ETD is a mess of a DLC and hardly worth the asking price.

The five missions last just under an hour, especially if you've played through SRIV and fully levelled up your character. The missions feel extremely disjointed, and while this is intentional the cutscenes explaining this disconnect are rather messy and out of place.

The exciting superpower gameplay is still here, it's a shame that the content doesn't compliment it at all.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Complete waste of time and money. A DLC that never got entirely past the conceptualization stage to say the least. It starts out well enough and the mockumentary style humor is pretty funny, but in reality the only thing the DLC has going for it is the mockumentary humor. The actual gameplay, once you get past Zinak, nosedives into tedium, with a significant amount of cutscenes being storyboarded--including a boss fight to boot. You'll end up fighting an enemy that gets old and tired fast (gimps and hos, ad nauseam) and the villain has no personality to begin with. Many interesting concepts contained within are under explained or just have the player dropped into the scenario, without any build up or journey. The resolution and ending come completely out of left field and aren't funny in the slightest. Thankfully, this didn't come out for SR3 and was instead re-purposed and polished into Saints Row 4. The 6 dollar asking price could be forgiven... if they had only put more effort into making the missions coherent and relevant, instead of disjointed messes that only last an hour. I'm not kidding, this DLC lasts ONLY ONE HOUR. The unlocks and new characters for the main game don't excuse the mess that is Enter The Dominatrix. Avoid. Expand

Quite bland. The meta stuff has some funny moments but it's very understandable why it was cut and cancelled. No particularly great gameplay sequences.

    It's consistently hilarious. [Christmas 2013, p.111]

Gamers looking for a sizable chunk of new content to burn through should probably steer clear since it’s over in the blink of an eye, but fans of the Saints experience can look forward to something that’s totally bizarre, yet still completely in line with the smart new slant of the series. Also, there are dinosaurs.

Enter the Dominatrix is a DLC for Saints Row IV that we can recommend only to diehard fans of the series: so focused onto silly dialogues and situations to the point of overlook almost completely the quality of the gameplay.
