    Where is Madden 08 2, EA?! Why did you have to make Madden 09 instead of 08 2?! I cry myself to sleep EVERY NIGHT because of this!

    I would give this game a 67/100 but I rounded it up to a 7/10. Let me preface this by saying I haven't played the PS2 maddens, but this is certainly better than any Madden on the Ps4. The intro gets me hyped every time, the soundtrack is great, loading times aren't bad for a 2007 game, and the UI is nice. This game has good gameplay. Not great, but fun. I wouldn't call it a perfectI would give this game a 67/100 but I rounded it up to a 7/10. The intro gets me hyped every time, the soundtrack is great, loading times aren't bad for a 2007 game, and the UI is nice. This game has good gameplay. Not great, but fun. I wouldn't call it a perfect simulation as it has its flaws but the gameplay is certainly fun and does a good enough job at simulating football. The franchise honestly lacks depth, but create-a-team kinda saves it. It's like a little worse than what we have today. The presentation isn't very realistic, but it's very unique. I enjoy Marshall Faulk's stuff but he doesn't have that much to say. The commentary's pretty generic and the commentator doesn't have much to say, but it's a 2007 game so I'll cut it some slack. This game has a lot of stuff to do. there's this cool ring and trophy system that gives me more of a reason to grind. Going back to features, the minigames are a good time and they don't really stale. Superstar, while not being as good as the ps2 version, is still great. I do like the player weapons system but it could be explained a bit better. IDK at what point a skill becomes a weapon. If you simulate franchise games, (especially when you supersim) the outcomes usually aren't very realistic. But overall, while Madden 08 has its flaws, its still a good game and much better than current Madden. Is it worth 60 dollars? No, but it's 5 bucks on ebay. You have no reason not to buy it.… Expand

    I love madden 08, its the perfect combination of Madden and 08, thanks to Madden 08 i can now do what i couldnt in life, right now im writing a madden 08 fanfic and its going great! Thanks Madden 08!

    Madden 08 is the best game ever made i own 4 copies and every one has something unique madden 08 2 why didnt they make that instead they made madden 09 the worst video game ever madden 08 also revolutionized the madden 08 genre of games highly recommended for any fans of being alive and breathing air

For 360 and PS3 players this is the first madden with create a team, which is one of the best madden features ever. Create A Team has 3 “stations”. They are Team Info, stadium, and uniform. You also have superstar mode, or career mode. In the beginning of your career, you workout for NFL teams. You do bench press, 40 yard dash and Position Challenge. Your performance in those Challenges determine your rating. You also have normal madden modes. Play Now, Franchise and practice. So if you have a xbox 360 or PS3, get this game!… Expand

    There’s simply no better madden game. I mean it’s got a titans player and the cover and everything. Sure it was be outdated now but back in 2007, this **** was awesome baby

    Madden 08 is more than a game. It's an addiction. I once played this game at 3am and I nutted so hard. This game made me cry from the insane plot twist. If you wanna know anything more about this game, go on r/scottthewoz. This game is a step forward for society as a whole.

    the game is way better than any madden before. better than 94, 96, 2000, 2006, 2007. that includes graphics, new kind of franchise mode which allows you to own 1 team or all teams and in between in the nfl. plus you could do more with the game than the past ones.

First off Create Player for Madden 08 looks like PS2, and no, the graphics arn't that good, it's just average, you can't customize anything, the game feels half done, like playing a football game with the sound turned off, the field/stadium/fans looks horrid. Oh gameplay where art thou, the gameplay feels like an arcade game not a sim, this game confuses you to the brink, the passing game in 08 is flip a coin, why have all this depth/Plays when you can't pass correctly to an all star receiver. I'm not a football freak SO THIS WILL BE MY FIRST AND LAST MADDEN GAME, if you want this game look at all the loyal fans that stuck with basically sh!t for 4 years and nothing is changed.Terrible passing, messed up AI, ok graphics,loading screens, no announcers, terrible music, game looks like it was bulilt for the original Xbox, What more can you ask for, oh right it's a Madden game, go head bring Madden 08 or 09 fresh to a bunch of friends, 30 mins later you'll see everyone looking at each other and putting down controllers, thats what happend to me with Madden 08.     I was a superstar mode fan because of madden 07, now that I bought 08, I'm tempted to not buy madden again. Not being able to pick your own difficulty in superstar mode in training and in games, and the major downtweak with NOT being able to raise your stats (trucking, carrying, speed, strength ect) from performance institute, and simply playing good, completely wrecks the superstarI was a superstar mode fan because of madden 07, now that I bought 08, I'm tempted to not buy madden again. Along with NOT having any button to show the routes of the players on your team before the snap. Terrible AI, lineman are useless, recievers don't put their hands up, you can't change the positions of players. Brian Urlacher was a safety in college! Manny Lawson and Terrell Suggs were ends! Hines Ward played quarterback! No one releases The graphics are amazing, but with the problems this game has I would prefer the problems to be fixed and have Madden '96 graphics.     Anyone who knows video games will like the new madden, but if you like and know football the old one is so much better. I don't understand why they got rid of substitutions, if my MLB sucks I don't want him in on 1 or 2 linebacker sets. Also I like having me best WR in the slot on some plays, for the mismatches. Madden 08 for regular xbox is still the same, just to let you know.

    After two disappointing efforts the last two seasons -- disappointing by the high standard that EA's football franchise set for itself over the years -- Madden NFL 08 redeems the franchise as one of the best-playing football games in recent memory.

    You'll find a much smarter brand of football in 08: Quarterbacks now scramble when no one is open, wideouts continue to make blocks 30 yards downfield, and defensive backs rarely fall for the deep ball. Some might even say that pass defense is a tad too stingy this season.

    These animations are gorgeous to look at, from Reggie Bush doing his trademark summersault for six, or a Chad Johnson river dance after a score. This is because the game runs at a buttery smooth 60 frames per second...Madden 08 is simply superb. If you could only own one next-gen football, this is it.
