A fun little game that shows the potential for Kinect games in the future. It has slight issues with calibration, and it can get boring after awhile, and the obstacle game is tricky to play with two people. The best feature that it holds is that a second player can join in whenever and leave whenever. I thought it would be the kind of game you try once and then run to buy new games. While it doesn't have a long lasting appeal it's the kind of game I'll play once in a while especially to show my friends how to use Kinect. River Rapids and Reflex Ridge are the best included games.

Better than anticipated, however, it looses it's appeal quickly. Makes a decent party game.

Calibration issues? Kinect works alright out of the box, but come on Critics. You have to calibrate Kinect just as you would a printer. Please the Calibration [smiley face] card before you write a review. After you calibrate the Kinect it is extraordinarily precise.

Kinect is absolute rubbish. The motion is off, unresponsive, and just plain bad. The game is too hard because of the bad motion controls and just isn't fun. I also don't like Xbox very much.

This is the first game I tried with the kinect. My first impressions was that this game is trying to be the Wii. Here we see simple games and kid/family friendly. I guess points for replicating the feel of Nintendo however this is also a minus, as I do not enjoy that style and is the prime reason I own a majority of my games on non Nintendo consoles. Regarding the games I felt they were simple and uniquely fun for the most part but also quite similar in gameplay to each other. I felt the in game tutorials were a little bit too fast to learn as a complete noob however think after repeated games this should not be an issue. The kinect sensor was fine and I had no motion capture related complaints. I should note that this was my first kinect game so I made sure to do as many calibration set ups as I could find before starting. I found out surprisingly that being 10 ft away was very important to allow the sensor to capture your full body. At the end of sampling this disc I would say there is one game I enjoyed that seems unique enough from everything else on the market. The other games seem like the majority of kinect games, just move here move there follow the coins and jump. Too simple and lame unless you are a younger child, I would surmise. I guess this is what kinect is going for though, stealing away younger nintendo fans. The game also contains something I find very creepy. It takes photos of you during gameplay and makes a photo album automatically without your permission. If they made this an option that'd be ok I guess but to find out it's just doing that imo is horrifically in bad taste. I feel capturing images are for memories and so this kinda feels like Microsoft is now portraying being a parent, and taking over that responsibility is why I find it in very bad taste. Those memories should come from people only, and only close people, with permission. Expand

It has some lag but that does not really matter when you are having so much fun. It is fun looking at the picture it takes and my kids love recording sound and movement to the characters in adventure mode. My 5 year old is in love with Kinect ... he's been jumping for hours - only problem is with the space required- you need huge rooms ! i'd say 3 meters by 3 meter at least in front of the Kinect which we do not have so we are really struggling to play with more than 1player

The game is free, that scores it a few points before it even hits the tray. The game helps you acclimate to the Kinect, and lets you have a little fun while you do it. Reflex Ridge can even give you a quick & light cardio workout at harder levels. The rafting game is fun too, but not too responsive. 20,000 leaks is good for cheesy photos and that's about it. Firstly this is a full solid game but lacks re playability unless you play with friends or family but don't get me wrong its a great idea to include a game with a device like this as it gets you wanting more!

Kinect adventures is 5 Games each has different modes but that's about it, nothing too special but at the end of the day it's free so what do you expect?

The online multiplayer is a good addition to the core game and adds a small extra but not enough to make this game anything other than a ' Launch Title'

    So Kinect Adventures 5 / 10 Online Mode 7/10

This game is fun for several hours, but you play it longer for achievements. And, the game is MUCH more fun with your friends. If this game would not come with Kinect, then I would suggest a different game, but you get it in the bundle! Yes!
