Oct 3, 2011The best open world game ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You will have a hard time getting off this game once you start this game. I mean, there can be bugs sometimes, but this is still good money spent.

Oct 4, 2011I loved this game so much I bought it the 2nd time on the Xbox 360 - and it was just as phone as the first time on my PS3. This game is so open world it's not even funny. Total blast, I pray every night they will make Just Cause 3 in my lifetime.

Oct 13, 2013This game had some very good and bad points. I like this game because of it's never ending freeroam in: motorbikes, cars, buggies, planes and jets. However the game doesn't feel like there's real missions they feel like side missions meaning this game gets quite boring pretty quickly. Overall I think this game should have real missions in the later updates maybe in Just Cause 3.

MarkBMar 29, 2010Pros: Open structure, Massive & diverse game world, Set pieces and visuals highly polished, Cons: Size of game world makes travelling at the start very dull, Super alert military police around every corner, Some missions (stronghold capture) repetitive, Poor voice acting particularly support cast, Recommended as an excellent time filler ahead of the summer line-up of games.

Aug 29, 2010Very fun game. Don't go in expecting a heartfelt story and you won't be dissapointed. The good weapon selection, huge variety of vehicles, and numerous different combat tactics (grappling hook is awesome in and out of firefights) make for an entertaining title that'll last you a week or two.

Aug 23, 2011It may be ten times better than the first Just Cause, but in terms of being a fully formed third person sandbox shooter, it still has a long way to go. No cover system? Get with the times.

BHMar 24, 2010WOW. This game rocks bad ass. I never thought that this gonna be such a great game but Avalanche just blew me away. The fantastic visuals, superb physic, very entertaining gameplay, best view distance and sightseeing fun ever are over the top. Let GTA look like pimpled teenager... To be fair: Story (incl. cutscenes) are better in GTA. But the rest --> go for Just Cause 2!

X-ONE Magazine UKAs a high-octane action game this is among the best in recent memory. Everything it does falls just the right side of ludicrously fun, so that it's hard to really criticize anything too harshly...Only the tiniest of niggles drag what is an excellent game back to earth. [Issue#56, p.77]
-
One of the most enjoyable sandboxes for players to experiment in this side of Grand Theft Auto. [Issue#204, p.86]

Just Cause 2 can hardly be called an average game. It's a good one undermined by a selection of mediocre elements, and it's all the more frustrating this time around because Avalanche shows us glimpses of just how much fun two weeks on holiday with Rico should be. [Apr 2010, p.96]
