At first glance we were all dissapointed, why the hell would they remake a game from almost 15 years ago, beloved by almost 2 whole generations and the game developers don't even include the Pierce Brosnan cast from the 1995 movie and the 1997 game. and even through i didnt grow up playing the video game a whole lot, i did grow up watching the Movie, and its my #1 favorite 007 movie andAt first glance we were all dissapointed, why the hell would they remake a game from almost 15 years ago, beloved by almost 2 whole generations and the game developers don't even include the Pierce Brosnan cast from the 1995 movie and the 1997 game. and even through i didnt grow up playing the video game a whole lot, i did grow up watching the Movie, and its my #1 favorite 007 movie and just favorite movie of all time. so when i first played GoldenEye 007: Reloaded for the first time back in 2013 when i was in 6th grade i was let down by the game for that soul reason, no original cast so i took the game out of my Xbox 360 and dint play it for a couple of weeks, but as a usual middle school er i was very bored one day and decided to give it one more chance and i got so into the game i ended up beating it on 007 Classic. This is a solid game and i would recommend it to most bond fans and all shooter fans because it has for the most part it maintains that awesome story from the 1995 movie except its retold as Daniel Craig as bond with some events in the first and second act being switched around which i found to be an interesting take on the story that all bond fans know so well, and in most missions you have options go Call of Duty like Guns blazing (Btw, Goldeneye 1997 was the origin of COD) or go stealth with subdue tactics and p99 silencer or even both tactics in the same mission and you dont get punished for having a certain play style which i really like. and also to mention one more thing regarding single player, the graphics are GREAT for a 2011 FPS, there not the best ever but not to hot and not too cold and especially the faces of the characters, the designers put a lot of time into the character modeling. Kudos to the people who created and published this game and even Judi Dench and Daniel Craig lended their real voices in this game it made the experience feel more genuine. real quickly lets talk on MI6 OP's, its fun extra content that provides a real challenge if you want to get all 44 stars ( I know i haven't XD). but now ireally want to talk about what would really be on everybody's mind , the Multiplayer, and the main question is, is it better than the original?... No... but its still pretty damn good and fun. but the online conflict modes were crap, to much like Modern Warfare with the perks and lots of lagging and a questionable leveling system, but we dont get nostalgic over Goldeneye over the online because there was no online multiplayer, we get nostalgic over the split screen, and its so much fun even with just 2 people, added way more iconic characters, more weapons, more fun modes and goofying around like in the original. but noticed how i said in the beginning that i recommend this to ALL shooter fans but only MOST bond fans, that because the only people who wont like this game are the fans of the original 1997 game and that might be the biggest flaw of this 2011 remake due to its alienation of the original fans but hey this is still a more than proficient game and ill go as far to say that its a great A$$ game because there are countless nights where my buddies and I would be up until 1 or 3 in the morning trying to dodge Odd Jobs Hat XD, and even look at it this way, if you want the Glory of the 1997 game just go back and play it instead of this one. This game is sadly nothing more than CoD circa-07' with a 007 skin on top of it, the game is...unnecessary.

The truth is that the last good game in this series was made 18 years ago. This series isn't on life support, it's buried and this game is the eulogy.

In my opinion, Goldeneye 007: Reloaded is the best James Bond game on the Xbox 360! The gameplay is awesome and sound is pretty great. Only problem I had with this is I wish they added more spy missions, it feels like Call Of Duty at some times. Overall, I think this is a great James Bond game for any Bond fans

Of the James Bond games that Activision made, I would have to say that GoldenEye Reloaded is the best because it had the most replay value. The MI6 Ops missions were very well done. They included elimination, stealth, defense and assault. You get higher scores based on how quickly you complete these missions and on what difficulty you set the missions to and unlike the challenges in 007 Legends, these were pretty difficulty and rewarding once you got all 44 stars. I will say that the multiplayer was a disappointment to the Wii version's multiplayer. The shotguns are way over powered and are effective even at medium range, there is no host migration and there is a double kill glitch that allows gamers to get cheap kills. There are more multiplayer maps which is a plus but personally, I wish there was more focus on correcting the few issues that GoldenEye 007 Wii had instead. The single player is the same as the single player from the Wii version and if you can get past the fact that the story and cast is different from the movie then you might enjoy this one. Expand

I can not begin to express my disappointment with this game, what I was expecting was a reloaded version of the original 64 classic, what I got was a terrible exploitation of a name which a company simply knew would sell copies and whilst the game play in itself is not bad nothing can alleviate the acrid knowledge that this game will never compare to it's original namesake.

To be perfectly honest, I would of thought it to be appropriate to have a shot-for-shot high definition remake of the original, which it isn't. The campaign gets bland after the second mission, once you realized the same gameplay is rebooted into different scenarios each mission. The gameplay, though, is playable, which is a positive, though you'd really check this game out to get the nostalgia factor, and not for a Call of Duty competitor that will outdo it, even though Activision is also a developer for the Call of Duty series, coincidentally. Then comes the multiplayer, which is one of the few bright spots of the game, although I feel like it isn't enough to keep you wanting to play it. Give the multiplayer a try, and i'm sure you'll be pleasantly surprised at how fun it is. Then there is the Mi6 Ops, which is basically an objective based game mode where you can use powers from the original game (Painball, DK Mode, etc.). Although this sounds good, it just comes off as bland and repetitive. I wouldn't suggest buying this game under any circumstance like I did, but simply renting it and seeing if you get any nostalgia, although you most likely will not. Expand

The bad news is it has been put into the modern game level of intelligence, there is none. The graphics are better but this does not change the fact the AI system is very touchy and dumb. Several times I took note of how many steps it took guards to notice my gunshots as I found one step can be the difference between you taking out a target and the rest of the nearby soldiers (presumably telepathically) finding out where you are, the same goes for someone seeing you, one look and without opening his mouth or hitting an alarm a guard says "oh criminey here's a bad guy" and all of his are invited. On top of this issue there is also the call of duty style don't worry hide in a corner and your flesh will magically push the bullets out and mend itself leaving not so much as a scar mentality. Thank god they left in the option of having the original Goldeneye "bullet proof vests might help" frame of mind which actually makes the game a challenge.

Speaking of the difficulty apart from a few moments of having to retry the same part over again a few times, while challenging the game play with a semi thought out plan was all but too easy. While health will not regenerate on classic 007 mode you can still take enough hits to charge a shotgun mp5 blazing and come out with barely a scratch.

Overall fun to play, but if I wanted a game with a 90's AI system id play the damn original.

Multiplayer can still be fun, as long as you've never played Call of Duty before. Cuz if you've been a part of the CoD series, it will be impossible for you to play multiplayer without comparing... And trust me, CoD wins by a long shot. The only redeeming quality of Reloaded (I refuse to call it "GoldenEye") is the Single Player. Having loved the game back in the 90s, I was disappointed with the remake. The graphics could have been a lot better, the multiplayer was great back then but with small, monotonous maps an a dearth of game modes is pretty weak by today's standards Surprisingly, the solo campaign is pretty solid, though the story is shallow. Luckily Daniel Craig lent his original voice and visual appearance to the game, so you can play a cool Bond character.
