One of the best 2D fighters ever made. Mark of the Wolves has 14 fighters, 13 of which are entirely new, a great balance of characters, awesome finishers, FANTASTIC graphics (for something that runs on the old Neo Geo hardware), and an incredibly deepfighting system. Dont miss out on one of SNK's greatest fighters EVER. 800 points is a steal for this game.

"Mark of the Wolves" is the best "Fatal Fury" game ever made. This port is a simple one, but those who love this game will welcome the online play and extra modes. Those that haven't played "Mark of the Wolves" will be delighted with the graphics and fighting mechanics. But "Fatal Fury" purists may be put off with the changes to the look and gameplay. "Wolves" doesn't have the classic feel of a "Fury" title. It almost feels like a different series with the franchise name tacked on. However, it's a great fighting game regardless. I would rate this with an 8.2 out of 10. Expand

  1. Even though Garou—Mark of the Wolves looks amazing (when taking into consideration the era in which it was released) and plays even better than it looks, there’ll be this feeling that you didn’t get that much value for your 800 Microsoft Point investment (or about $10).

Fatal Fury is still a great fighter and the characters are colorful and fun. It’s too bad SNK didn’t give a little more TLC to the visuals, presentation and sound.
  3. Since Garou: Mark of the Wolves is just 800 Microsoft Points ($10 / £6.80), there’s a good chance that its target audience will find this as a must have and get a lot of time and enjoyment out of the game (especially if you can find consistent online competition). If you aren’t an aficionado, though, Garou won’t do anything to change your opinion.
