(OK so just to get this clear I played the PC version, not the Xbox version. Metacritic doesnt have the PC version on here though However they are exactly the same thing)

F.E.A.R 2: Project Origin was an OK shooter. It had a good story, good gameplay, good graphics...not anything special but everything in it was good, average, acceptable yada, yada, yada. It just had the unfortunate problem of being the sequel to F.E.A.R which I personally regard as one of the best PC shooters ever made. So here is the F.E.A.R 2 expansion pack DLC titled Reborn in which you play as a Replica Soldier... that's it. There is no clear story, nothing that even shows that it belongs to the F.E.A.R franchise and some pretty awful level design, set pieces and a atrocious length of 31 minutes. You are not given information on what time period it is in, why you are doing it or even what you are doing.
F.E.A.R 2: Reborn is here to make money, it is for no other reason. The package is not exciting, it is not challenging and it has absolutely nothing to do with F.E.A.R. AVOID!!!

F.E.A.R. 2 Reborn is an expansion for F.E.A.R. 2 Project Origin. Expansion has 4 extra levels, in which you control it on Foxtrot 813, a soldier cloned from Replica Squads. The game is almost the same as the first, but the interface is slightly changed, trying to bring to the first FEAR .

Its ok Glimpse at another perspective just seems cheap and made to grab a extra buck with nothing new.

I hate metacritic making me use 150 characters to write a review.

I'm fan of the F.E.A.R series, but this DLC was boring. Contains inexpressive locations, story without real content and it's overall short in terms of a gameplay.
It was worth not much than 1,5€ I've paid in some promo... ;)

Expand

  1. F.E.A.R. 2: Reborn is short and repetitive and feels recycled.
  2. Fun, entertaining and interesting. But it's the same gameplay, the same visuals, the same sound, same environments, same characters, same enemies... Also, it's a really short experience: an hour of gameplay that it's not enough for our money.
  3. It's the gaming equivalent of walking from your bedroom to the kitchen, opening a cupboard and eating a sneaky between-meals biscuit. It's totally unnecessary and not entirely satisfying. But it does taste quite nice.
