This is just an all around fun and excitting fighter that takes the visuals to a new level. A great, great game for fighting and anime fans. Enjoy!

Played the demo and was surprised its a really good game. I grew up watching DBZ so this feels like im watching/playing the show. Can't wait for it to come out.

The lack of characters combined with the relative lack of gameplay modes makes the overall package seem a bit shallow, as if the inevitable sequel will feature more content. Even so, Burst Limit is a quality fighting game. Non-fans will be lost within the convoluted confines of the Z Chronicles, but the improved battle engine can't be denied. Expand

This game has less than all the other DBZ games with less characters less emersive gameplay and only a 2 hour story mode and only takes about 5 hours to get 100% complete. worst DBZ game ever ifu want a good DBZ game try Tenachki 3 or boudokai 3

Very nice looking game. Very fun. However i fail to understand why they did not continue with the "Budokai Tenkachi" style. I much prefer the full 3D version to the side scrolling "Street Fighter" like style. Im a little gutted that the xbox 360 version is nowhere as good as the PS2 version.. i mean next generation consoles.. cmon.

Dragonball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3 is THE best DBZ fighters of all time. After playing it and unlocking all the characters and arena's, I was hoping that there will be Budokai Tenkaichi 4. Sadly, Burst Limit isn't one of them and definitely doesn't overshadow BT3. However, for a DBZ fighter, its not so bad. This game plays like the 1st Budokai game on PS2, which is not a bad idea. This game is... okay. It has it's strong points such as it's gorgeous visuals (and it's still the best looking DBZ game ever released to me!) and great soundtrack, but to me, the gameplay feels much more slow and clunky compared to Dimps last DBZ game Budokai 3. This game only goes up to the end of the Cell saga and has a much smaller character roster.

Overall it's okay, it can be fun at times but it does not compare to Budokai 3.

The gameplay in Burst limit is very good tho it has it's problems. In battles in has these middle battle cutscenes which can work good in the story mode but not in online battles. A huge problem i have with this game is that it doesn't have a majin boo saga i mean WTF?.

It's nice to play a game that manages to be fun for the hardcore and casual alike. [Summer 2008, p.48]
  2. This is the best and best looking Dragon Ball Z game that has been made. Every fan should buy this game.

Dragon Ball Z: Burst Limit managed to really impress me. It's not perfect but it's a fast, over-the-top fighter that's an absolute blast. The single-player Z Chronicles mode is perfect for hardcore fans and the multiplayer options are good enough that you'll want to call your friends over for a few matches.
