    Generic, boring, lacking personality and soul. I usually never play this kind of games for the masses, but for some reason i beat this one... just forgettable.

    This is just another button masher with very simple and repetitive combos, i will however say that the finishing moves are cool, not quite a 3 or a 4 so 3.5 lets round that up to 4 yay

    "Darksiders" is an engrossing action-adventure that blends "God of War" with "Zelda". Inspired by the Four Horseman of the Apocalypse, it follows the exploits of War, a Horseman who must maintain the balance between Heaven and Hell. After the End of Days prematurely begins, War is tasked with finding the supernatural figures that are responsible. Visually, "Darksiders" resembles a colorful"Darksiders" is an engrossing action-adventure that blends "God of War" with "Zelda". Inspired by the Four Horseman of the Apocalypse, it follows the exploits of War, a Horseman who must maintain the balance between Heaven and Hell. After the End of Days prematurely begins, War is tasked with finding the supernatural figures that are responsible. Visually, "Darksiders" resembles a colorful comic book with an art style similar to "Legacy of Kain". The gameplay is a mix of fast melee combat and exploration. Surprisingly, it really does hold its own against the bigger titles "Devil May Cry 4" and "Bayonetta". While the game might be derivative, it still manages to be very entertaining.     is a very good game, the story is amazing, only 3 bad thing: sometimes the camera is bad and you can not see right, you can not skip the cinematics (this is so bad), and the game have and excesive number of puzzless, the puzzless is part of this kind og game but this game have an exesive number

    Darksiders took me bu surprised at how good it is. Easy combat system with a good story. An awesome protagonist in WAR and the ending to Darksiders is one of the best as it does it's job in, leaving you wanting more and getting you pumped for the next installment.

    В 2010 я её прошел на Xbox 360 и не понял, что за игра.     В 2010 я её прошел на Xbox 360 и не понял, что за игра. Поначалу мне игра показалась какой-то перегруженной и затянутой по сравнению с тогдашними слешерами, такими как Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, Dantes Inferno да даже Bayonetta и DMC 4. Игра была очень длинной. Но время шло и сейчас игры менее 30 часов считаются куцыми и не раскрывающими себя полностью. И вот второй раз я её проходил уже на PS4 в 2016 и черт подери, а игра то самое то! Хороший сюжет, запоминающиеся персонажи (особенно боссы), не плохой слешер. И вообще после выхода Darksiders 2, в игре появилась атмосфера, которая меня, почему то, не зацепила в 2010м.
    Да, кстати, сейчас продолжительность кажется даже не достаточной :), по сравнению с Death Stranding, NieR: Automata, да и с той же Darksiders 2!
    Резюмирую: с 2012 года серия Darksiders стала одной из моих любимых франшиз.
    Darksiders Genesis ещё не прошел, не знаю уж очень она отличается геймплейно, посмотрим!    … Expand

    Так хочется сказать, что стрельба в Darksiders - не баг, а фича, по причине отсутствия каких либо критичных косяков во всём остальном, но не получается. Уж слишком громоздко она ощущается, хоть и под стать герою. Война, как всадник Апокалипсиса, полностью соответствует статусу, наблюдать за его поисками виновных в новоиспечённом, мультипликационном мире    Война войной, стрельба отстой!?

Добавьте ко всем этим "НО" развилки кастелироидного формата и всё равно получите игру с наивысшей оценкой, так как за счёт той самой, несуразной работы на дистанции, проект выглядит не калькой из всего и вся, а очень даже самостоятельным продуктом, где цепной пёс совета, как в рекламе Old Spice невольно говорит: "Посмотрите на другие слэшеры и на меня...     Darksiders kind of takes the best things from a typical Legend of Zelda game, improves upon it, and then adds in some hack 'n' slash to the formula.

    Not sure why it took me until 2017 to play this game. Since the re-release of the game on PS4 and Xbox One, I thought it was as good as time as any to pick this game up on the cheap for last gen consoles. After playing through both the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions, I can confidently say that the PS3 version is the version you should get should you own both consoles and are looking to playNot sure why it took me until 2017 to play this game. Since the re-release of the game on PS4 and Xbox One, I thought it was as good as time as any to pick this game up on the cheap for last gen consoles. After playing through both the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions, I can confidently say that the PS3 version is the version you should get should you own both consoles and are looking to play this game. The Xbox 360 version loses 1 point for me for being a lot more jagged on its textures when compared to the PS3 version (which I rated 8/10). For my first play through I thought it was a bit long for an action game, but once you have gone through it once, multiple play throughs are a breeze. It took me about 20 hours my first time playing and the second well under 13 hours.

    This is a pretty straight forward hack and slash action game with minimal RPG elements thrown in. I never felt lost at any point in the game, which is nice to be able to have the feeling of always progressing in a game rather than stuck for hours in one spot. Achievements are easily obtained and I am sure that 100% could be earned in at least 2 play throughs.

    After this game has been out for quite some time, I still found it extremely fun to play, even years later. However, if you have an Xbox One or PS4, I would pick it up there as it is more responsive and buttery smooth at 60 fps.    … Expand

It's still fun but it's basically just a string of fairly average dungeons you traverse for the sake of lengthening the fetch quests the main story is made up of. Nothing about it is as good as its sequel but if you enjoy action/adventure games it's stillThe original Darksiders offers the combat of God of War and the dungeon formula of Zelda while adding up to less than either of them.     Un jeu de bourrin typique à la réalisation correcte malgré un crénelage assez prononcé sur 360. C'est plutôt bien présenté ma foi et la prise en main ne pose aucun souci : on devrait donc massacrer ces débiles de monstres tranquillement sauf que croyant bien faire (?) le jeu vous impose régulièrement sa méthode.

    Darksiders is the best Zelda game I've played thay wasn't developed by nintendo. I'm not going to pretend the game doesn't have issues. Plotholes, a cliffhanger ending, and a difficulty curve that goes up and down on a whim. It could be argued that it borrows too heavily from other titles (Zelda and God of War primarily) but being the first game from a new studio I can't blame them forDarksiders is the best Zelda game I've played thay wasn't developed by nintendo. Look past Darksiders relatively small flaws and you'll find a game that is perfectly paced always giving you something new and fresh to do every hour or so.     Darksiders is a really enjoyable 3rd person action-adventure game.

    The gameplay is a mixture of fantastic hack and slash,and okay platforming.The levels are well designed for the most part,leading to real enjoyment.Throw in some good boss fights,and you have a well varied game here.     It's hard to think how great are the score in this site to this poor game. The history contains a ridiculous plot twist, so the history is really dispensable. to make things worse, Darksiders contain some of worst puzzle i have seen. The only positive point is the fighting system, it's some kind of fun. Don't worthy play this game.

    I'm about 80% through the game and this game is like God of War, except I found the puzzles to be more challenging. The graphics are ok. Kinda grainy looking for today's standards. I give it somewhat of a pass on graphics since the game is old. It still is alot of fun. If you are a fan of the God of War games you will like this one. And there seems to be a delay with jumping so if you are running towards a cliff you will end up falling off a few times until you get used to jumping a little bit sooner. If it were not for the small negative things I posted this game would have gotten a 10 and that is not counting the dated looking graphics. This game should NOT be getting a 10 as it is not the same caliber as a perfect game and whoever is giving this game a 0 and saying that it is linear is full of crap. Final Fantasy was linear. This game is like Zelda or Metroid in some ways. If you like God of War, Metroid or Zelda try this one out. Just don't have the expectation that this game is as polished as those titles. This is a good one though if you don't have a Wii or Playstation available.… Expand

    Very good game! Button-mashing and puzzle-solving coupled with a weapon upgrading system similar to God of War. Absolutely worth a purchase. Controls are very smooth.

    So this game made me feel the same way that Saints Row made me feel, Darksiders has almost the same control skim as God of War and to be honest the one thing that keep me from playing this game back in 2010 was because it was in my eyes just a God of War clone. But, I tried it and I have to say that this game is so much better than God of War. There is some things that could of been better, the enemies might look cool but for the most part almost half of the enemies can be killed with just hitting one button, no joke if you hit B you can slam the smaller zombies on the ground and the basic bats can be killed in the air with the same button. Other than that, this game is a really great game and one of the best games for the 360. Worth a look at and at least the time of day.… Expand

    this game is essentially a zelda clone, but is there anything wrong with that? Fun sequences, quick combat, a linear story line which somehow feels open. I guess the only thing holding it back is that.. well it's just not zelda.

A lot of people call this game a God of War clone and whatnot, but just because it's like God of War doesn't mean it's bad. I think if it's being compared to God of War then that is a good thing. A lot of people call this game a God of War clone and whatnot, but just because it's like God of War doesn't mean it's bad. I think if it's being compared to God of War then that is a good thing. My complaint is the uselessness of key items you get for dungeons. There's the horn, crossblade, gun, mask of shadows, portal gun and abyssal chain, but none of them are particularly helpful outside of dungeon solving. This was disappointing because I had great ideas on how to perform kills with each item, but it's a minor flaw I found with the game. The storyline is okay, but I just enjoyed seeing them utilize the Horsemen in a really cool way. Definitely worth checking out.… Expand

    By far, one of the most underrated games i can think of, Darksiders, gets almost everything right, and delivers in well worth your money level of quality and length experience. It is long enough to provide great entertainment but not feel too long. The world is beautiful crafted, and the characters are interesting and fun to discover. Combat is fun and challenging. The various enemies also provides for a strategic gameplay. In my top five for sure. highly recommended.… Expand

You explore dungeons and find new weapons to further your adventure. In the end Darksiders is not as good as the games it borrows from, but Darksiders is not bad.… Expand

    Darksiders looks like the result of a head-on collision between the Zelda and God of War-franchise. But instead of a big mess, both fuse together to form a hybrid with the best elements of both, combined with a great story. The game won’t win any awards for originality, but thanks to its long playtime, strong puzzles and great alteration between elements and scenery we can only conclude that Darksiders is already one of the first great games of 2010.

    At its best, Darksiders plays like an interactive compilation of this console generation's most interesting game mechanics. At its worst, it's like sitting through a mediocre cover band as they fumble their way through your favorite tunes.
