Sep 3, 2023A too generic shooter. The story is too short and the multiplayer is not at the level of the other games in the saga.
-
Aug 29, 2023Best campaign you cant change my mind, and also this game is the reasons zombie mode exist. I cant talk about multiplayer because its full of hacker but the servers that aren't infested whit hackers are good. :D

May 21, 2023Played it again via backwards compatibility. Just a simle, good old CoD campaign. Descent story and characters, and good locations. Not the best one out there, but definitely a good game. Final mission really felt good.

Feb 9, 2023This game was my childhood, and it always will be. Such a shame that online is pretty much just a baron wasteland, as it would be a great experience to play this game online again. I feel we desperately need a re-release of this game on modern consoles, not a re-master, as I want the game to be untouched, as the game already is great.

Dec 24, 2022Answer: 75 characters is between 10 words and 19 words with spaces included in the character count. If spaces are not included in the character count, then 75 characters is between 12 words and 25 words.

Sep 20, 2022Feels like a step back from Modern Warfare but still the best ww2 game that I personally played plus with a great introduction to Nazi Zombies.

Aug 1, 2022It's not bad but I didn't find myself blown away with it in anyway. The campaign was great but I didn't think the characters were compelling enough for me to care. I also wish they worked a bit more on the soundtrack, the music for me, plays a big role on immersion.

Jan 18, 2022A dull and repetitive experience... Both campaigns had a lot of potential but it didn't really worked for me. Russian part was much better with better variety of chapters at least there were some sneaky part. Too many brainless shooting and moving forward without any deeper sense. Little plus for first zombie Mode and multiplayer although they are both dead at the time.

Jun 26, 2021I wish I was old enough to play this game back in its hayday, but unfortunately I was only seven when this came out and all I had at the time was a Nintendo 64 and an NES.

Jun 26, 2021This game is an excellent production of game industry, providing expected and accessible gaming experience.

Jun 23, 2021Probably the worst call of duty but mostly because of that awful soundtrack and the sickening feeling of WWII history getting bit in the face. I don't know what it is but I just play call of duty 2 and call of duty modern warfare 1 and this is just terrible after playing the other two games it just doesn't have the same feeling

Apr 29, 2021Un call of Duty muy divertido, de mucha calidad y muy fresco, sin duda uno de los mejores Call of Duty de la historia y para mí el mejor Call of Duty ambientado en la segunda guerra mundial.
-
Jul 24, 2020I wasn't able to play multiplayer because when i played it it was either empty or filled with cheaters BUT it has a really memorable and enjoyable campaign about the 2nd world war and the zombies at the end was icing at the top
-
Jul 21, 2020Good god, such a GREAT Call of Duty game. The first Call of Duty that would introduce the iconic Zombies mode.... Thanks Treyarch, now make a good game again.

Dec 19, 2019The campaign is really good but it still has flaws like how the enemies throw grenades with pin-point accuracy. I was enjoying the campaign until I got near the end, the Japanese part. It seemed repetitive and I stopped playing for about a month until i got back to playing. The multiplayer is pretty fun. The zombies mode is also really good and saves this game from being rated lower.

Nov 1, 2019Treyarch’s take on WW2 is historically accurate that will make you experience the terrors that happened in the past as you play their story. By porting the COD4 engine over to WaW, the multiplayer and the infamous arcade mode is what started it all before it became a gaming trend in COD history. And this is probably the best damn single player campaign they have ever done.

Sep 15, 2019Multilayer is an absolute blast, sound design and graphics still hold up very well. Music is superb and it doesn't shy away on showing how tough war really is. Classic Call of Duty. A must buy even in 2019.
-
May 21, 2019This game has the weakest multiplayer and story of the Call of Duty games that I've played (with the exception of Advanced Warfare for the story), but the introduction of Zombies bumps this up a ton in my book.

Oct 21, 2018A fantastic campaign and fun zombies mode is what made this game stand out at the time alongside its fun multiplayer that despite being fun wasn't as impressive as its predecessor Call of Duty 4

Call of Duty: World At War needs better character development and more "oh my God" moments. However, it's still a terrific first-person shooter. The combat is tight, the presentation shines and the multiplayer, particularly Nazi Zombie mode and co-op campaign, will keep you blasting enemy soldiers for weeks.
-
Treyarch did a remarkable job of breathing new life into the WWII shooter. They followed the conventions outlined by Infinity Ward to a tee and, as a result, created a shooter that is every bit as good as last year's entry. Of course, there isn't a whole lot of innovation this time around, but the increased Multiplayer options, new settings, and great enemy A.I. should more than satisfy all but the most jaded Infinity Ward fanboys.

Although the campaign storyline isn't nearly as engaging as the one seen in "CoD4," there should be enough memorable set pieces and intense sequences to keep you riveted throughout. The addition of a co-op mode brings a great deal of replay value to the proceedings, especially once you start throwing the death cards into the mix. Ultimately, it's the multiplayer and co-op action that will keep us coming back for more.
