    The game is basically the same stuff as before except for a new mode that will last you around 2 hours max of fun. Single-player is just a 2-3 hour stinkfest full of over-climatic moments, boring and forgettable characters, and guns that all feel the same. The story is basically this: shoot people, shoot people, shoot people, annnnd SHOOT PEOPLE! It is THAT repetitive.

The entire mode is this: carry around a big drill to hives, buy guns on the ground (two of which you'll actually use), shoot aliens, and level up to get power-ups. Buuuuut! You'll never beat the mode or get all the power-ups because you will get really bored after 2 hours because you will either get stuck on a part and get to bored trying to beat it, or you will barely beat it and quit.
    2/10 is the score. The only way it wasn't WORSE (1/10 is MY worst rating) is because of those 2 hours of exctition.    … Expand

The campaign is awful, the story is decent, but the delivery is awful, it feels like MW 2 because IT IS! They literally took cutscenes and changed voice clips and models. Next is multiplayer... I hate multiplayer in Ghosts, there are too many over powered guns and the multiplayer feels the same besides character customization. And extinction mode feels like search and destroy with aliens and TF2's Man Vs Machines. Also the grafics are bad, they look like grafics from CoD World at War, and this is FIVE years after it, I'd have a better time playing Doom on SNES if I only cared about grafics. Your better off waiting for CoD Black Ops 3 or buying CoD Advanced Warfare than playing this broken down mess.… Expand

    Почему то с самого начала меня тошнило от всех аспектах игры. Я не помню о чем она, там кого вроде низко белковой едой кормили и все. Но помню, что мне было не приятно в нее играть, очень не приятно.

Single player is not the reason to buy the game, there is a reason maybe for replayability in the aliens mode but that ends here.     They ruined multiplayer by making search n destroy a respawn game mode. The whole point of search n destroy is one life per round that's what made it intense and different. The new game modes they added are garbage in place of good modes like demolition, headquarters and ground war.     It feels like I played this game 4 years ago. The netcode is broken, with folks rubberbanding and sliding around. The level design has taken a step backwards and the overall experience is..."lesser." I've played the campaign and I've played hours of the single player and I am done. Back it goes to Gamestop; I am moving on to Battlefield 4.

The characters are flat, the campaign dull, and the graphics simply unremarkable. Nothing special about this at all.     Call of Duty has been one of my favourites for a long time, maybe thats the problem. I am so bored with having such linear campaign games, just feels like you never have the chance to change direction of events. Why after all these years csnt we have AI which works, its just the same old, with each one just feeling like a map pack.     got this game for 10 bucks off ebay and ill say it, i over paid. its a tired, regurgitated game thats just plane boring. poor game play, poor extras, poor multiplayer. over all its not worth a buy. borrow from a friend if have to play it but DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS!!!!

    People complain because they think COD has gone stale. It's not stale. It's just bad. The game tries to be innovative and has made progress with larger multi level maps. But it all comes down to gameplay, and whoever has the upperhand because of connection wins. Skill plays little to no role in most online games I've experienced.

One shot kills, bad hit registry, players being 5 steps ahead of you, etc. If you don't know what I'm talking about, then you might be one of the lucky ones and enjoy this game.     I've just bought this game and played it for two hours. At one point you're in space shooting people in a space station (whilst wearing a spacesuit) then you're an Dog jumping on people and killing them. But most of the time you're on a roller coaster and you're strapped in very tight - absolutely no chance of you going anywhere but where the roller coaster wants to take you. Enemies are killed with a minimum of five bullets (when you're permitted to fire at them) when you shoot your gun the recoil is such that you can't see the target. If you try to veer off the prescribed path you are killed almost instantly.

    And to think, lots of people were paid lots of money to make and publish this game.

    Call of Duty: Dog Ops, I thought was gonna be a change. I kept hearing people say same COD same **** but I wanted to see and play the game for myself and man I just wasted 50 bucks. The game touted the use of the dog, but his use is very minimal with the exception of it's use in multiplayer. The story could have been more interesting if the enemy was actually believable.     I regret getting this game, its the same as mw3 just worse. They removed search and destroy, and the graphics look like a game from 2008! The single player is not even notable anymore, all of this is crappy and the only good quality is the extinction mode enough said.

    No real leader boards, mute function is non-existent, the campaign was bland at best, the space scene was confusing, and the dog felt like controlling a drone in Black Ops 2. Very mediocre. I had no fun with it at all. Total disappointment.

Black Ops 2 gave a refreshing take on the series, giving us a colorful, vibrant game with new twists on gameplay, albeit still feeling copy pasted, it was still alot better then all the drab, boring OORAH of the other COD games after Modern Warfare. This game has the shortest campaign in history (a total of 5 hours on Veteran, 3 on Normal) and a VERY RACISTIt just gets worse and worse. Black Ops 2 gave a refreshing take on the series, giving us a colorful, vibrant game with new twists on gameplay, albeit still feeling copy pasted, it was still alot better then all the drab, boring OORAH of the other COD games after Modern Warfare. This game has the shortest campaign in history (a total of 5 hours on Veteran, 3 on Normal) and a VERY RACIST premise, the game is basically about fighting evil Mexicans and Arabs, furthering the series trademark Xenophobia.

    Multiplayer wise, the game is still trying to hard to recapture the glory days of Modern Warfare and World at War, but failing just like the games before it.

    And then there's the new Operations mode. You fight aliens. That's about it. Taking away the awesome ability to do missions together like in WaW, the ability to do co-operative missions in MW2, the ability to survive countless waves of enemies like in MW3, and of course, Zombies.

    There's hardly anything new to look for in this game, with stale graphics, gameplay blatantly stolen from other titles and an engine that's 12 years old, this game belongs in a bargain bin, and is certainly not worth $30, let alone $60.    … Expand

    Worst entry in the franchise. It's mostly the same as always, without any good new features. Disappointing campaign as well. Very bad all around. Do not recommend buying this game.

    Ok I am a huge cod fan and to me this is no longer cod its something like battlefield they changed up everything about cod I was super excited about it now its like what ever it sucks to me. Why do we have a wait time til we can respond now and why are the maps so huge and why cant i kill this freaking dog!!!!!!!! Sorry this is a big disappointment.     COD lost its way once Jason West and Vince Zampella were fired. COD 4 and Modern Warfare 2 are still the best till this day. Titanfall FTW!!! Respawn Entertainment!

    We were looking forward to this new game coming out. We bought it yesterday and played last night. It was VERY disappointing. It seems like the game was not as advanced and fun as BO2 and the excitement and fun went backwards. We went back and started playing BO2. We are going to see if we can return GHOST today. Do not buy. You will be disappointed.

    What.... Just.... What? Not worth buying... Sure the campaign is OK, but only if you've never played any previous CoD titles. The campaign is just recycled old stuff. The online is once again the exact same, with little dynamic features. Played it for 3 hours, and never will again.

    There is ZERO strategy to be found in the multiplayer as the maps lack any direction or flow whatsoever. If you thought there were any gametypes available to change that, THINK AGAIN because HQ, S&D, demolition, & CTF are all gone.

    All I really want to get across is that it is unacceptable for a mainstream game in 2013 to require button mashing "challenges" that it would give pause to anyone but a 13 year old amped up on an energy drink. Not only are they repetitive, they fail to add anything to the game dynamic, and are poorly notated--two of them took me 10 or more tries to just figure out what buttons were apparently being shown on screen. This is even more obnoxious because both are preceded by lengthy cutscenes that cannot be skipped but must be watched ad nauseum.
    If you are playing this for the multiplayer only and no longer expect any length or quality from the single player campaign--well, you expectations have been met. I avoid giving it a zero because the multiplayer is still fun, even if it hasn't really been updated since MW1.    … Expand

So much for all the "we are building a new engine". Adding some poor lighting effects (google ghosts two suns lighting) and upping polygon count doesn't equal a new engine.     Game was poorly released on short basis, although not a big campaign player, the multiplayer maps were poorly designed, and as were the guns and attachments. The way you earn credits for guns is highly oppressed and overused, as I have already seen MANY methods for farming the points in order to earn guns, attachments, perks and such.     Never had a problem with the repetitive aspect of the CoD series before as you shouldn't change what isn't broken, however they tried to be too innovative on this one and ruined it. The campaign is good but too short which makes you rely on multi-player for longevity but that is possibly one of the worst online experiences i have ever had. A terrible game overall.

    A very frustrating game. I quickly returned to black ops 2, wow what a relieve. Ghost has to big maps, very hard to distinquish opponents, and you got shot all the time in the back. I hate the game, it was a waste of money.

The campaign was terribly short and pretty much the same old wham bam and twist and you were done the level in 2 minutes. The characters were mediocre and cheesy. With the inclusion of quick draw and the thermal scope pretty much from day 1 of your multiplayer experience the game has devolved into a camp fest Core is damn near impossible to enjoy on TDM and Hardcore is barely tolerable. Why have the developers not learned their lesson yet. STOP MAKING SNIPERS SO POWERFUL. Most of us would rather actually run and gun since the COD franchise is not a squad or team based game for the most part. Making the maps bigger did not alleviate the problem of earlier titles, but managed to take every bad element from previous games and roll them all into one.

    There are some legitimately good features. The level up system and ability to attain any weapon early on is great, except for the over the top nature of the sniper rifles. A few actual realistic tweaks and this game could have been great, but the continued failure of the developers to embrace reality relegates this one to the trash pile. I have completed the campaign and will be returning the game for BF4 tomorrow.    … Expand

    This is by far the worst Call of Duty to date. The ranking system is awful, the maps are awful and the money system is awful. The game is nothing but a let down. I have had every Call of Duty made and wish I could say anything good about this one but I cant.

    Multiplayer is really poor. I sold it back. There's no point to keep a game that's worst than the last edition of it. Stick with Mw3 or BO2.
    If you're outside of U.S the matchmaking will be terrible.

    The perfect word for Call of Duty:GHOSTS is "a waste of money" For whoever has played Black Ops2 and thought it was bad...BO2 is heaven while playing GHOSTS....the campaign is short and dreading, the multiplayer is very slow paced and the new squads mode is just a fancy word for private BOT matches from previous Call of Dutys.
    The game is not worth anyones money and should be complained about.

Also, for a game that is supposed to be advancing why did it go from useful uav to a backtracking sat com? You need several to do anything or make them useful. Sure campaign is fun but people buy it for the multiplayer, and they pretty much ruined that by removing game modes and using ridiculous maps. They also removed the crossbow that was the only useful counter weapon to the all annoying riot shield. Not surprised that the user rating is at 2.3 and that people are turning to bop II or battlefield. If you're a camper or a marksman class whore then you probably enjoy the endless camping spots and it is harder to see you when sitting stationary for whatever reason. But for others it is torture. To fix camping, they should put in an activity percentage, which would be a stat that shows how long your player is moving which would reveal how much you camp, and maybe weed out some campers. Just a thought. Also, I don't know what the deal is wtith the servers or something but it seems so laggy nearly half the time and no this is not due to a walmart connection mine is fine and I can play all other cod games online no problem, something about this game just doesn't work and lags easily and often. Overall the hype and trailers really let everyone down when it comes to actually playing this trash heap. The only good thing in can think of that stands out is some of the later kill streaks.… Expand

I have put up to 100 hours in to that game and it is always the same shot here shot there through a grenade and then get instantly killed by a pistol from across the map it is the same every day on the god damn game. From the cheaters and the inconsistency in gameplay, it has provedUsually, I like to praise a COD game when it first comes out, but for Ghosts, it was different. I've hated this game since day one. The campaign was garbage and was way to short. It had potential to be another fun COD campaign, but it didn't meet my expectations. For multiplayer, it's the same old garbage as every COD game. From the cheaters and the inconsistency in gameplay, it has proved to bey least favorite multiplayer ever. IW could've really had a fun multiplayer, but once again, they failed to impress me. As for Extinction, I love the idea of aliens and I enjoy playing this mode, however, it becomes boring after a while due to the lack of variety within the mode itself. Overall, this is by far the worst COD game I've ever played and I would never recommend buying this game to anyone… Expand

    This game is a huge disappointment. The multiplayer is very slow paced because of the huge maps. They brought back one if the most annoying perk in the cod franchise, Danger Close. Theses Battlefield sized maps causes people to camp with snipers. The gamemode Cranked doesnt make the game any better because the maps are huge and it can take forever to find person to kill before you die.This game is a huge disappointment.     This game, oh goodness, I've never really like CoD the classics aren't bad at all, but this is probably the worst so far, my friends are large CoD fan, and the majority of the problems don't just stem from the game, but the fanbase, this series doesn't have an end in sight because of the large collection of 1st graders swearing at me and wanting to have sex with my mother.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I didn't buy Call of Duty: Ghosts, I didn't have spare cash laying around and I was starting to itch to play a new iteration of the franchise. I am now very very glad I didn't spend money on this game. Multiplayer is a joke. You will spawn 5 feet from the man that previously killed you and he WILL kill you again. The weapons are so similar its really down to whether you like the look of your gun instead of its stats. I've never felt like I've had a good gun-fight with someone in Ghosts, it's usually a case of seeing someone, unloading an entire assault rifle magazine into them, and not being rewarded with a kill. Instead, he will kill you, because he is using an SMG and on the Killcam, he saw you first. You will have been around a corner. You will have been out of that mans line of sight in your point of view. But you were not. The maps are boring, with washed-out colors and ruined scenery that is completely uninspired; what's more, it doesn't help that the pieces of debris on that ground start to blend into the characters themselves crouching next to them, lending more to getting killed before you even know whats going on.

    As for the Single Player campaign, boy oh boy, that was a **** train-wreck (literally, in the end, SURPRISE). At first the story is interesting, you witness San Diego getting shelled from orbit, and then you're on the satellite SHELLING Earth from orbit as a large coalition of South American nations attack the USA, it's crazy action you expect from a Call of Duty campaign. What I don't expect, at least, is the 4 hours of boring **** that comes AFTER that 15 minutes of action. Yes, 4 hours, the game is exceptionally short. None of the characters are interesting or likeable. The Ghosts are all dicks, your father is a pretty rigid "I'm so proud of you boys" stereotype, and the main antagonist is just a **** smug **** He's not such a bad villian that you want him to die. You just want him to die. You just want to kill him and end the whole game because he's that stupid of an antagonist. You no longer want to suffer this horrible boring uninspired nightmare. At one point you capture him, unable to shoot him. "Just kill him," you tell yourself "Kill him and end this farce." Instead you capture him, bring him aboard an airplane, and then he pulls a Bain, his comrades yanking the plane in half and shaking your ass out like the last peanut in a jar of salty bland **** nuts. Great, so you establish you cannot capture him, and you didn't kill him when you had the chance. You suffer through a bunch of missions, only ONE of which uses their highly-touted dog companion. In later levels he does come back; as an escort mission. You have to carry him to a helicopter while a bunch of heavily armored South Americans shoot at you in Las Vegas. It's annoying, the dog as a character was pointless, and I felt nothing for him. In the final mission, you hop on the villains train, going on top of the train, car to car, dodging the improbable aiming skills of 30 Brazilians as they shoot tracking bullets at you on top of a train going at breakneck speeds around a 90 degree bend. You get to the lead train car where Rourke is waiting and there's a scuffle, you fire your death-missiles from orbit and knock his train into the ocean where you, your brother and the big bad fight. Your brother holds the big bad and, wait... doesn't this seem familiar? Isn't this the ending to Modern Warfare 2? You grab the some way to kill the big bad, a convenient .44 Revolver that the big bad drops, sacrificing your brother and piercing them both with the absolutely incredible stopping power of the weapon. It busts a window behind them, flooding the train-car. You swim out, carrying your very injured (probably at this point should be DEAD) brother out of the train car. You swim ashore, propping your bodies against a rock as you watch the Federation troops get their asses smashed by your orbital bombardment. You think it's over. You pray it's over. The big bad, who has been pierced by a .44 MAGNUM, who should have a GIANT HOLE IN HIS CHEST, kicks you in the face, dragging you away so he can turn you into what he was turned into. It is the most obvious sequel hook ever, it practically screams "We know you'll buy our game every year, so you'll have to wait for the next to finish this!" It spits in the face of anyone who is even remotely a fan of the series, and does not stand up to previous installments in any way. I am so glad I did not spend my money on this played-out ****. I borrowed this game from a friend who was borrowing it from his cousin and both me and him are thankful we didn't waste our money on this.     Outright terrible,anyone looking for a FPS for their console should look the other way,the horrible hit detection and frustratingly awful amount of lag compensation make this game painful to play,the story itself is very interesting but ruins the premise with a horrible cliffhanger that just irritates you more at the fact that yes,there will be a Ghosts 2.Bad experience.

    Campaign I give a solid 9. Extinction i give a seven. It had a good playout but if you had it set up like zombies it would've been better. People like zombies better than this. Multiplayer, straight terrible. It is like you have to play for a year nonstop to get to a level where you can actually get some fun. Nobody wants to prestige because the low levels have no chance.     Not saying this is a bad game. However, I am extremely pissed at the practice of coming out with the same game every year which effectively make my old COD and related purchased DLC content obsolete since all friends/other people would move onto the latest COD.

    Improvement? Yes, minor. Charging another $60 with god knows how many in DLC? Go to hell!
