I have very good memories related to this game. multiplayer and soundtrack were good. The zombie mode was amazing. I don't remember the story mode.

This hasn't aged the best. PS3 and 360 controllers are horrible, especially PS3. Those joysticks are the most uncomfortable things yet created. The game is fun, though. Looks fine, sounds good, that feedback loop is still about as good as FPS gets. It's not as clean as modern COD games, but the monetization also wasn't as predatory.

Answer: 75 characters is between 10 words and 19 words with spaces included in the character count. If spaces are not included in the character count, then 75 characters is between 12 words and 25 words.

The future is black. Cordis die or whatever. Classic cod game but unfortunately as with all cod games they are left to die to hackers and so on.

Good story, good game overall, but the multiplayer disappointed me massively.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I've played the campaign now and i thought it was pretty generic except for the disco at the end, played a little bit of zombies and thought it was okay but the multiplayer… Mods mods and more mods. When the online servers were still on, there were way too many modders and the end. So that ruined it a bit. Expand

Call of Duty Black Ops II is an overall mixed bag. This instalment hadn't fundamentally built upon the previous instalments of the series (Including Black Ops I.) The story was good but felt detached from the original in many aspects and was unmemorable. The multiplayer was alright, but I personally find some maps subpar to what we have seen before (and after.)

It's very apparent that Activision saw the player base was tired of World War II shooters and were starting to get tired of Modern shooters. So they decided to take the apparent logical next step of going futuristic. I think this is one of the reasons why the story feels so detached from the original Black Ops. Going to the future from the Cold War just doesn't feel correct. And I think it shows with the campaign.

Overall, Black Ops II is an enjoyable experience. But doesn't change as much as I hoped and the story may feel "detached" from the original Black Ops for people who may have experienced that games campaign as well.

Overrated. But the best Multiplayer behind MW2. Zombies was solid and I loved TranZit. Upon launch and months in its release It had terrible network and host migration problems. The Killstreaks helped contribute to it falling short to MW2's multiplayer along with Shock Charges and bouncing betties. The zombie mode in this is fun, especially if you are with a squad. That knows what they are doing. Other than that, the rest of it is cookie cutter military shooter. And can get really repetitive.

Another popcorn experience but it's not that bad , I like the loadout system and the perks and the new things you can get if you clear the objectives in the levels makes it more fun to replay, The games fight new things to make the campaigns more interesting it's good popcorn experience It's not anything amazing like Call of Duty Modern Warfare 1 or Call of Duty 2 but it's good

The Good: Incredible class customization; pick 10 is the best thing to happen to COD in ages. Very fast paced compared to older CODs. Consistently high frame rate. Multiple endings in campaign is a nice change. RTS vets like myself will like the Strike Force Missions. Creating your own emblem is even better than before and far outshines MW series. Melee kills require you to be closer (thank god). Quick scoping hasn't been eliminated, but is harder than before. Also great call on creating bullet clouds to trace back to camping snipers. First zombie maps are the same old stuff, but newer ones are very exciting.

The Bad: Movement feels more..... "floaty," for lack of a better word, very different from other CODs. Maps are too SMG friendly.

Overall: Single player is a bit muddled, but definitely better than most CODs. Multiplayer feels different, but has breathed new life in what would be stagnating gameplay. It's not TOTALLY new, but it's definitely a step in the right direction. Worth buying.

The singleplayer portion of this game was absolutely amazing, the story moreso than the gameplay. While Black Ops 1 was an amazing singleplayer experience, Black Ops 2's campaign was mind blowing. The fact that the player's decisions actually had an impact on the story was a first for the series, and actually made for a compelling story. Campaña entretenida pero no tanto como para disfrutarla al final. Zombies entretenidos pero solo con amigos. El multijugador es lo mejor de la entrega

I never really got too into Black Ops II quite like I did with the previous Call of Duty games. The multiplayer was just okay, and this game marked the era where Zombies started getting too complicated.

Maybe the best Online for COD series, what maybe is the principal goal for COD series, because this, story is left behind, even because this one is common and has nothing of interesting. It's only a game to play with friends and online and past the time having fun.

    This is legacy/nostalgia review.
One of my favorite call of duty's to date. I decided to hop in to PC version and play some Multiplayer.
I cannot believe Steam still charges FULL PRICE for it. Had to use other websites to acquire code. Single player is great, one of the best actually. But multiplayer is not...even close to being what I remember. I mostly played on Xbox360, as most

Single player is great, one of the best actually. But multiplayer is not...even close to being what I remember. I mostly played on Xbox360, as most people did anyway. And on xbox it's fine, especially now with backwards compatibility. But PC is different picture. Not only very few people play it, there are essentially 3 maps on rotation - Hijacked, Nuketown and occasionally Slums.
Pretty much every single death is a BS death. Killcams are evidence of bad networking, no peer-to-peer servers and just utter disregard from treyarch. they don't care, they don't want to fix anything and will still charge you 1 dollar if you want to put your national flag on your weapon.
it is not even close what I remember years ago when played.
Only good things I can say are good maps, good weapons, good scorestreaks and good progression system (compared to other cods, at least).

I have played this for more than 1000 hours.

black ops 2 - black ops 2 is a fun game to play to waste time and to have a good laugh with friends but if you dont have friends to play with it gets boring really fast if your not trying to get a golden gun or high kill streak there other aspect in the game that makes it fun like back scopping and trick shoting

A positive step forward for a series seemingly on a downward spiral. The introduction of League Play is welcome, however Zombies is a significant step backwards from it's predecessors.

Call of Duty Black Ops II is good, but leaves us with a basic story with no exact purpose, though the multiplayer and zombie modes excel at game play and the games in game visuals and graphics help boost it up to a 7.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I started the campaign and the cut-scenes looked decent, but damn the graphics were horrible for the introductory mission! I always disliked how simple, small and fake the vehicles look in CoD games. The graphics are neat in other places but still look outdated, reminded me of Black Mesa source in mission 2. They haven't improved anything much, even with the new post futuristic setting its all terrorist this terrorist that. The multiplayer is more of the same, still remains imblalanced with bugs everywhere, and worst how Nuketown was removed and now only available in special occasions, incredibly unsatisfied. Expand

It's alright the campaign is good and the multiplayer improved after 2 years. But it still feels like the COD series is never going to top MW2 which was the best for multiplayer despite all of the hacking and glitches.

This is not to say it's a bad game, it's just not different enough from previous Call of Duty titles. The story isn't memorable, the maps and weapons aren't any different to what we've previously experienced, the gameplay is near identical to previous games, and when it's not identical it falls flat and fails to impress.

It's fun, and an indication that Treyarch is willing to explore ideas that Infinity Ward has thus far ignored. [Issue#93, p.74]

If the original Black Ops was Treyarch's coming-out party, then Black Ops 2 is the studio's affirmation that their COD expertise was no flash in the pan. If you're one of the 16 people who hasn't played this gem yet, go buy it now. Conversely, if you're among those who bought the game but hasn't ventured into the single-player campaign (yes, it happens), there's a great narrative and divergent gameplay awaiting your experimentation, so check it out.
