DavidC.Jun 2, 2007It's about the gameplay!!! People judge too often it's graphics. This the most played title in our home.

GeorgeDec 30, 2006This is the best Cabellas hunting game yet. The graphics could be a little better but overall a good game.

PaulL.Oct 5, 2006Only slightly better graphics than last year's Outdoor Adventures. Better user interface and animal models though. Inclusion of free 1 yr. Oudoor Life subscription makes it essentially a $29 title.

Feb 24, 2014This is definately the best of the cabella's hunting games. Free roam game but a little dated now as this was a real early 360 game. Still... hours of fun and a rare game if you can find it. i looked everwhere to find this old classic

Cabela's Alaskan Adventures needed a complete overhaul for Xbox 360 and, instead, we've been given a sloppy port of the old generation engine and gameplay. The way hunting and fishing are presented falls outside the realms of pure simulation and arcade fun, making for a confounding mishmash of ideas that don't work together.

All in all, while occasionally entertaining, the hunting sequences of this game just aren’t fun enough to appeal to most people and that’s all this game really has going for it given that the minigames aren’t even worth mentioning.

The AI, as mentioned earlier, is really poor. The animals do not behave anywhere the manner you would expect, and even the hunters themselves all seem to be asthmatic couch potatoes based on the breakneck speed in which they fatigue.
