Band Of Bugs is a very simplistic turn-based strategy game. While the art style is kind of awkward, the gameplay gets addictive pretty fast, after you learned all the mechanics. A matter of taste, but not bad at all!

I found band of bugs in the games with gold for February 2022, and it would be good if i liked strategy games like this, but i don't.

Some games make you mad because they are addictive, but this game is addictive for a VERY good reason - it's fun. Really fun. Quick paced, strategic, witty, pretty, and inexpensive. What more could you ask for?

To be honest, I wanted to start playing turn-based tactics, and I decided to start with this game, but it is very primitive and carelessly made. Given that this is the most niche genre, you need to make it beautiful, or at least interesting, but what's there? Terrible visual component, very boring gameplay, and a dull plot. If you start playing tactics, then obviously not from this game.To be honest, I wanted to start playing turn-based tactics, and I decided to start with this game, but it is very primitive and carelessly made. These standalone levels may not compare to a proper game of chess, but they have the same sort of vibe, and that makes Band of Bugs challenging and addictive enough in its own right. [May 2007, p.80]

    Refreshingly unique. [July 2007, p.104]
  3. This is a turn-based strategy game through and through, so fans of the genre will likely have a great time with Band of Bugs. However, if you don’t like the pacing or style of gameplay found in this type of game, your best bet is to avoid the game.
