GraphittiJan 4, 2008Imagine Diablo with slightly better graphics and a childish plot. Ta Da! Arkadian Warriors. Mindless button mashing and hacking through dungeons for slightly better weapons and armor. Slightly cool that it has multiplayer.

The real key to Arkadian Warriors’s success is the way in which Wanako made the user interfaces super simple and extremely user-friendly.

We can handle repetitious gameplay in our dungeon crawlers -- it’s generally mindless fun. When you add in a total lack of variety in dungeon and mission design and just toss a bunch of generic monsters our way, it just becomes mindless.

But to really enjoy this game without feeling stupid for paying for it, you have to forget all about Champions of Norrath or any downloadable RPG you can go get on the internet for free.
