    I for one thought it was one of the more entertaining games I have played in a while. Don't get me wrong its cheese and crap on many levels, but the game play(especially with a friend) is just ridiculous. I mean what other game can I shoot up a room with explosive rounds while increasing my score for swearing only to end up counterkilling a guy to death with knife swipes and a finalI for one thought it was one of the more entertaining games I have played in a while.     Blood on the Sand is a masterpiece of over the top ridiculousness. People really just need to calm down and let games entertain instead of criticizing it for not being something to push limits graphically with a story that rivals the best authors.

    This game rocks back and forth between mildly enjoyable and an utterly embarrassing mess. The slow motion feature is useless, the cover mechanic is useless since you regenerate health almost instantly, the graphics range from fair to absurd, it's unbalanced, repetitive and dull. It's hard to get excited for the next battle when the previous battle was exactly the same. The sound This game rocks back and forth between mildly enjoyable and an utterly embarrassing mess. The slow motion feature is useless, the cover mechanic is useless since you regenerate health almost instantly, the graphics range from fair to absurd, it's unbalanced, repetitive and dull. It's hard to get excited for the next battle when the previous battle was exactly the same. The sound is atrocious (the gatling guns sound like quickly popping bubble wrap instead of fearsome weapons like in GRAW2). Overall, whatever enjoyment I got from the game's pretending to be "The Club" (which was a far better example of this kind of game) it was ultimately sucked away by feeling like the enemies guns were filled with spitballs instead of bullets and the downright embarrassing and utterly juvenile story.… Expand

    Oh don't get me started. It was fun for the first 10 minutes. Then bordem ensues. The repetitive action is only broken up by small side-missions that are more like a full fledged task in some ways. I will say that the array of weapons and upgrades for "Fitty" were somewhat decent. The dialogue spoken by 50 and his partner was just the unrecognizable dribble we call slang, filled with Oh don't get me started. It was fun for the first 10 minutes. Then bordem ensues. The repetitive action is only broken up by small side-missions that are more like a full fledged task in some ways. I will say that the array of weapons and upgrades for "Fitty" were somewhat decent. The dialogue spoken by 50 and his partner was just the unrecognizable dribble we call slang, filled with humorless swears for added "gang-ness." I will also say that the cover system and graphics looks like they were taken right outta Gears, but plastered with pure defects. The story was intuitive.     This is by far the worst game that I posses. It is pointless, boring and just altogether so bad. I really enjoyed playing bulletproof but blood on the sand doesn't compare it self to almost any of my other games.

    Your partner is controlled by ai as the online co op feature no longer works…
    This is a super linear 3rd person shooter…
    But its insanely boring….
    This game is from 2009 and feels very much from that time being just a bunch of ugly greys and browns throughout…
    The entire 3 hr and 40 min long campaign looks and feels the same leading it to get boring quickly though initially its quite the joy taunting your enemies as you kill them, and blasting through levels listening to actual music by 50 cent…
    But the gameplay is very unengaging..
    You can take cover.. shoot enemies… run up to them to intiate a counter kill quick time event..collect cash.. get collectables to rack up your points in a level, and throw out some sick fire with your gangsta fire meter that slows down time allowing you to pull off mad sick head shots…
    The only thing that could make this game more ridiculous is every enemy charcter having ja rules face and young buck crying on the other line every time you stop at a pyphone to spend your collected cash on new weapons, taunts, and counterkills…
    I laughed a handful of times because of how ridiculous this game and its concept is…
    50 Cent speaks to everyone like a rapper.. and not a hero…
    That was really the only redeemable quality this game has…
    Its massively repetitive…
    3 and half hours feels like 3 and a half years.

    Games are supposed to be fun, and this game delivers that in spades. Explosions? Check. Over-the-top story? Check. Hilarious dialogue? Check. Nearly non-stop action? Check. Seems like a lot of folks just need to lighten up and remember that if something is entertaining, then it's worth its weight in crystal skulls.

    There is something to be said about a game that is fun. Why is it....that every game today HAS TO SO REALISTIC? Was Megaman realitc? NO. How about Mario? NO. This game is not a good buy for you must-have realism fans. It's got a crazy story, tons of "un-realistic" explosions and more Fiddy-Cent smart-mouthed dialogue than you could fit on a rap album....but man....is it fun.     This is one of the funnest games I've played in years. It is a complete rip off of one of the greatest series of all time, Gears of War. There isnt the epic feel or production values of Gears, the middle east isnt nearly as varied or pretty as Gears, the enemies suck and aren't nearly as many or as cool as Gears enemies, playing as 50 sucks, and the game lacks the awesomeness of This is one of the funnest games I've played in years. He runs a bit quicker and can aim a bit quicker when zoomed in, you can hold 4 guns instead of 3, grenades work better, and I always thought it would be cool if you could purchase weapons and upgrades and if there was a scoring system in Gears (which adds a lot of replay). As much as I hate 50 as a person, musician, and video game character, this game was a blast. After playing the craptacular controls of Killzone 2 this was a pleasant change.… Expand

    When a game is fun, you have to recognize it. I don't get what people are saying about a game being dull and/or repetitive. Most shooters are like that to some extent. This game has a lot of replay value, even without an online multiplayer mode, the coop experience is neat, although a split screen mode would have been the icing on the cake.     this is a good solid 3rd person shooter and has all the charactoristics of a good one. it plays like a gears of war with its own finishing move systems called counterkills, these are very fun. its a ludachris storyline but the gamplay is great, there are no bugs or glitches and the graphics are ausome. the story is a little short but that doesnt ruin the game. this is a fun game that youthis is a good solid 3rd person shooter and has all the charactoristics of a good one. it plays like a gears of war with its own finishing move systems called counterkills, these are very fun. its a ludachris storyline but the gamplay is great, there are no bugs or glitches and the graphics are ausome. the story is a little short but that doesnt ruin the game. this is a fun game that you should consider, it brings its own flavor to the table… Expand

    i remember playing bulletproof and how bad that games was...but this game is so awesome..i love the coop in this game but i hate it because is no splitscreen or because is just 2 coop players and not 4...the graphics is good, voice acting ok, soundtrack well good...you should try it it's a really good game

    I remember i had a lot of fun with this game back in the day. Of course the mechanics were pretty bad but the entertainment factor was just so high, it was ridiculous

    The core gameplay loop will feel familiar to any one who’s played a Gears of War game or something comparable to that. The level design and art direction are similar to what you’d see in games like Call of Duty or Gears of War. That’s not to say it’s bad or unoriginal, the levels function as needed, they’re mostly well rendered and will feel familiar to a lot of gamers. Weapons are allThe core gameplay loop will feel familiar to any one who’s played a Gears of War game or something comparable to that. The level design and art direction are similar to what you’d see in games like Call of Duty or Gears of War. That’s not to say it’s bad or unoriginal, the levels function as needed, they’re mostly well rendered and will feel familiar to a lot of gamers. Weapons are all based on real world models and are broken down into 4 categories. You’ve got Assault Rifles and LMGs, close combat weapons like Shotguns and SMGs, long range weapons like sniper rifles and Rocket Launchers and Pistols that have infinite ammo. You can also collect money from smashing open crates and killing enemies in order to purchase weapons through pay phones found throughout each level.

    The combat in this game I’d say is pretty decent. There are some good blood, gore and particle effects when killing enemies or when bullets are whizzing by you and bouncing off walls or objects. The Shotguns and LMGs have a pretty heavy sound to them and they’re both fun to use. The game even has it’s own version of bullet time called “Gangsta Fire”, which will feel familiar to anyone who’s played a Max Payne or F.E.A.R game. You can also use Gangsta fire to help you get in close to enemies and perform a “Counter Kill”. Hit a series of button prompts with the right timing and, if done correctly, it allows 50 to pull off what is essentially a Glory Kill. While it won’t regenerate your health, it does regenerate your gangsta fire, offers up huge points bonus, feature some pretty brutal animations and the enemies can’t **** you over while this is happening. The one interesting and kind of funny gameplay mechanic is the “Taunts” system. I’m trying to think of a game where **** talking enemy NPCs as you put a bullet through their brain was a part of a game’s core loop and I honestly can’t think of one, before or since this game come out. Immediately after killing someone, click in the Left Thumbstick and 50’s going to throw out some hilariously “scathing” one liners. Call some one a “Punk **** a “****ing cocksucker!” or to “Eat this, you **** and it gives you a score increase of +25% per kill, on top of whatever bonuses you accumulate as well with each kill. This all helps culminate into the game’s end of level points system.

    The game also functions a lot like an arcade style shooter, where points and combo multipliers are popping up on screen almost constantly. You get extra points by chaining together multiple kills, for lighting enemies on fire, blowing them up with explosives or getting a headshot among other bonuses, while using mechanics like the “Counter Kills” and “Taunts” to bolster your score even further. Several times during each chapter, these “Scenarios” pop up that require you to complete a specific task within a time limit. These “Scenarios” are optional in the sense that you won’t fail the chapter if you miss them, but they also give you points towards your end of chapter score. These “Scenarios” aren’t all that hard to complete and they largely boil down to “Kill X number of enemies with a certain time” or “Collect X amount of money within a certain time”. At the end of each chapter, you’re awarded either a Bronze, Silver or Gold badge based on how high your score is. There’s achievements tied to getting all of the Silver and Gold badges, but if want those Gold Badges, you’ll have to play on Hard mode since the game doesn’t afford you enough points on the lower difficulties. Don’t let that dissuade you though, this is a pretty breezy game even on Hard mode with only the last few missions providing anything remotely challenging. Certain levels end with a boss fight against a helicopter that gets rehashed three times and it just feels really uninspired and repetitive; use “Gangsta Fire” and shoot rockets at it until it blows up.

    On a technical level, this game is mostly fine. It runs pretty smoothly on both Vanilla Xbox 360 and Vanilla Xbox One. The loading times are pretty quick and I experienced no freezes or crashes-to-dashboard. The game does hitch for a moment when saving a checkpoint but run pretty smoothly otherwise, with not much in the way of lag or stuttering during combat. The game runs on Unreal Engine 3, so graphically, it looks fine. It does however suffer from pretty noticeable texture pop-in, especially when initially loading into a level, that UE 3 became infamous for.

    Overall, 50 Cent: Blood on the Sand was a pleasant surprise for me and I didn’t think I’d enjoy this game as much as I did. It’s just a mindlessly fun, third person shooter that’s easy to pick up and play, while coming in with a play time of around 5 to 6 hours. If you’ve got a weekend to kill or if your in between your favourite releases, you could do way worse than 50 Cent: Blood on the Sand.    … Expand

    The co-op is fun, the action is intense and in fact the only negative things about this game are the camera, story, and pop in graphics. If you can get past all of those things underneath you might not find the ultimate 50-Cent experience but you will at the very least find a pretty good action arcade shooter.

    It's just balls-out shooting from start to finish, with 50 Cent tunes to bop along to as you go. It's not too tough and not overly complicated. You just have fun with guns, and that's all there is to it.

    Light, silly and undemanding but also surprisingly fun, Blood On The Sand will never compete with the big boys of the shooting genre but it’ll keep you amused more than you may think. It’s worth a look.
