    I have to agree with almost everyone: this game is simply amazing. The music, game play, locations and story are all very good. One of the best game on the Wii.

    This game is absolutely amazing. The story is engaging, the voice acting is top notch, there a million sidequests and the battle system is unique. I love this game and this will be my summer.

    Graphically, the game looks terrible. Otherwise, there is a LOT to love here, so be sure to check this game out if you are looking for a great RPG experience.

    Xenoblade is THE best JRPG of this generation. Jam packed of content, you are looking at 80+ hours of gameplay, assuming you are only doing the main story. The visuals are good, though some of the animations are a bit awkward. The music is absolutely fantastic; one of my favorite soundtracks of all time. The gameplay is solid and the combat system is addicting.

There's so much to find, so much to vary in terms of equipment and customization, that makes you wonder why it all went missing in other current generation games.     Everything moves, changes, the world comes alive in a vast continuous stream. Day and night cycles included. Personally, I found the british speakers refreshing and the dialogue well written, not what you'd expect from a japanese RPG.
    Last but ultimately the most rewarding is the actual combat and rpg battle system: you'll feel at home if you've played either WoW or Final Fantasy XII, the combat just flows in realtime, tactical options always more important than hack n slash tactics. Make no mistake though: this game urges you to pay attention to the moment-to-moment proceedings, in order to maximize your attacks. Tons of monsters with different weaknesses and tactics, sub-bosses and challenges on the way make combat worthwhile.    … Expand

    This is one of the best games of the 2010's so far. Its advanced combat system, gameplay, music, story, visuals, and sidequests can keep you entertained for 100+ hours. Its the best wii game available.

The music is one of my favorites and this is a genre that always excels in having beautiful and memorable music and Xenoblade has what I believe to be the best soundtrack I've heard so far. The battle system is addictive and just makes you want to seek out every enemy you can find and slaughter them and since it is a cool down based system and your characters autoheal, you never have to worry about returning to a save point or back tracking to the town before to recover. The story (while some reviewers have said was cliche) I found to be very original, especially the setting, and filled with twists that I really didn't expect. In the end, I spent nearly 100 hours on the first play through and I didn't even finish a good deal of quests and side stories so I know if I went ahead and did all that, I could've added another 30 hours to the game. If you have a Wii, get this game, if you don't, find a friend with a Wii, borrow it and play this game.… Expand

    Xenoblade is the greatest RPG of this generation and one of the best games on the Nintendo Wii . An epic adventure, beauty and there is still plenty of magic and fantasy. I hope we'll see more from this game in the future.

    Best JRPG ever? That may not even be overrating, Xenoblade is the best game in 2012 so far, AINEC, AND it could be one of the top games on the Wii and Ever. There's a lot of content here, with a fantastic storyline, the best rpg battle system ever, and drop dead gorgeous cutscenes. This is a must own for Wii owners and rpg fans.

    One of the best games in years. Gameplay system and story as well as character design go hand in hand building up an enourmously interesting universe and experience. People loving well worked out, intense and atmospheric titles like Secret of Mana, Lufia, Terranigma, Chrono Trigger, FF Series etc will just be thrilled. Has marched up into my "best games ever" list easily.

    I have mixed feelings about this game. It is not perfect and definitely has its flaws. Still, there is no game this generation that brings the nostalgia of old rpgs past, quite like Xenoblade. Pick it up for that reason alone. One thing that few people ever comment on is how much time spent just in the menus. You will spend almost half of your gaming time there. I"m not kidding. Sure you can manually adjust it, but combat is fast paced and there is too much going on during battles to have to stop and adjust the camera.The story is good in some places, but poor in others. The graphics are last gen. As far as the environments, I think the devs really wanted to give each one its own unique feel and it really shows. I also liked fighting my battles with different leaders and their playstyles. I went from Shulk being my main, to Sharla , to Riki ^ _^, to...well lets say the last character that joins the party. Really any are capable of playing directly and its interesting because each has their own strength.My only regret in this regard is that I didn't use Melia in my party unless the story required it.… Expand

    This game was definitely the best Wii game I've ever played. For me it was the best game of 2011 too. It might be the best game of all times! An Japanese RPG this far evolved with such a great story, characters, battle mechanism, graphics (for Wii users), soundtracks and voice-acting.

For those who take a lot consideration on graphical aspect of the game, i suggest you watch trailer first to see if that's acceptable to you. IMO, the characters rather jagged, but the environments are really pretty in lot of scenes. Nonetheless, if youPlaying this game is an amazing experience to me. This a video game and developers should take note because you want your game to be like this. The con could be graphics and texture, but it is not because it is more than that. All of the characters in the story are interesting, well voiced, extremely British, and not annoying (except Riki, who is the embodiment of annoyance).
    The story of the game is great mainly due to the game's setting atop two massive titans called the Bionis and the Mechonis. It is full of plot twists and character development which keeps the it interesting.
    The very best aspect of this game is its music, which is nothing short of masterful. The very best memory I have of this game involves entering a grand and expansive location, only then to be greeted by the best song in game. Every track suits the scenery it accompanies.
    The only fault people have with this game are the graphics. However, as far as Wii games go, the graphics aren't half bad. When looking at things up close, they might seem to be rather ugly. However, when viewing giant new areas, the game looks gorgeous.
    Take all these aspects and combine them with a nonlinear and lengthy experience, and you get an excellent JRPG and one of the Wii's best games.

    The only downside to this game is side-quests. There are over 200 side quests, but only vary a dozen ways. Make sure you check online to find which side quests are actually important.     Little late to the party on this review. I hated my Wii up until playing this game. Even now I can say its the only game I truly enjoyed on the system. Even being on such terrible hardware, they graphic direction made it one of the most beautiful games I played last generation. Couple that with an amazing story, voiced by probably the best voice acting of last gen and its just a greatLittle late to the party on this review. I hated my Wii up until playing this game. That said, the combat is an absolute wonder, the soundtrack is also a work of art, the storyI don't think this is game is a masterpiece or the best JRPG of its generation, it has a lot of problems: the sidequests are just plain bad and uninteresting, there are a lot of tutorials and things to do that are very poorly explained and the menus and crafting are very clunky to said the least. That said, the combat is an absolute wonder, the soundtrack is also a work of art, the story is good but the characters are not in the same height and for that reason the story feels a little underwhelming. In the end I wanted more of that exquisite combat, but be aware that it can be very long (It took me 68 hours just to complete the main quest, without deep exploring or side questing, also there's a lot of grinding).… Expand

It is really fun to play, although sometimes the targeted enemy selection may give you some headaches. The story is great, the characters are great, the variety of enemies is great... Over the course of the next several months, I wound up putting over 230+ hours into Xenoblade Chronicles. This game is, quite simply, a masterpiece.

    The story kicks off with the main character narrating an epic flashback of a battle that happened a year earlier and this cinematic sets the tone for the rest of the game. Friendship, loyalty, jealousy and betrayal, are all present in the game’s opening minutes. Nothing feels wasted. Everything is told with purpose to give the player a sense of the world he inhabits along with the war that is being waged. The war is hard to understand for the Homs who inhabit Bionis, and that sense of loss/devastation leads to feelings of animosity which ultimately culminates in the main protagonists quest to put a stop to the war and avenge those they have lost along the way. The characters are relatable yet interesting and the British voice actors did a splendid job conveying their emotions through the characters despite the lips being a tad out of sync.

    Xenoblade Chronicles takes the jrpg formula into the 21st century with beautiful environments, deep storytelling, huge worlds to explore, a fully orchestrated soundtrack and a fun combat system. Whether you are progressing the main story or rebuilding a fallen colony, there is always something to do or people to help in Xenoblade Chronicles. For these reasons and a host of others, it would not be an exaggeration to say that Xenoblade was my favourite game of all-time.     xenoblade tells an extremely engrossing story, with 7 main characters, and for a change, they are all likable.     xenoblade tells an extremely engrossing story, with 7 main characters, and for a change, they are all likable. The world of xenoblade is extremely beautiful, made even better with stunning music,and there are some extremely pretty hidden area's to find, all of them giving you a large xp boost when you do. this leads into my only real problem, the game throws xp at you; if, like me, you enjoy doing a few, but not all of the side quests you will still find yourself feeling over powered for the majority of the game. The real challenge of the game is found in the unique enemies (i can't actually remember what the game calls them) scattered around the HUGE world, these monsters are a lot more challenging than the majority of the games bosses and reward you with rarer weapons and armour. all in all this is an excellent game, and even if the difficulty is slightly low, it still felt fulfilling once i completed my first play through which took 100 hours and 18 minutes, i will be playing a new game plus and intend to do everything, after finishing i could have picked it up and started again from the beginning, and i only didn't because i had already bought a new game to play after it. But to get my one and only gripe out of the way, let me just say this - by no fault of the game itself, players won't be able to shake the feeling that Xenoblade should have been made on an HD-capable console. While Xenoblade Chronicles is an astounding technical achievement that makes use of every ounce of processing power it can squaeeze out of Wii's hardware, it still doesn't look much better than a decade-old PS2 RPG. As jaw-dropping as some of its environments and sweeping set pieces may be, the game's blurry textures and low-polygon models are a constant reminder of the platform's limitations. That being said, good gameplay should always trump graphical prowess, especially in the RPG genre, and Xenoblade delivers some major innovations in that department. The game successfully mixes the best parts of Japanese and Western development while bringing a few new concepts to the table. At first, it may strike the player as an offline MMO, with its real-time auto-attacks and a skill bar that lines the bottom of the screen during combat, but it's not that simple. There are a ton of ways to interact with enemies, whether it's instigating a battle, evading more aggressive mobs, dodging attacks that would automatically land in a typical MMO setup, or strategically positioning characters to exploit enemy weaknesses and distractions. Aside from combat, exploration and party management features are equally impressive. Equipment changes are visualized, enhancement slots allow you to constantly evolve the armor and weapons you like, crafting is deep yet intuitive, and even questing has been drastically streamlined over the MMO contemporaries that inspired its basic structure. The world itself is massive and very original in its design, as sweeping landscapes are interwoven in a way that makes every vista and cliff face recognizable, thus eliminating a constant reliance on maps and objective pointers. I also thoroughly enjoy the addition of social elements, which allow for relationships between party members, unlock special scenes, and even track the interpersonal connections of NPCs. Xenoblade impresses on a lot of fronts, and it's all highly intuitive. Also, unlike a majority of JRPGs that have been released in recent years, the story is almost immediately engaging and enjoyable, and despite the strength of its narrative, the entire experience remains non-linear and highly customizable. Japanese development has seemed reluctant to let go of its past conventions and typically linear storytelling techniques, so Xenoblade is solid proof that innovation is not only still possible, but now highly encouraged by the instantly classic and commercially successful precedent of Xenoblade Chronicles. While I could certainly go into greater depth with the game's individual systems, the points I have already made should be more than enough to convince RPG fans to buy the game as soon as possible. Play it for yourself, and as long as you can get over the fact that the game only exists on the technically limited and aging Wii, Xenoblade will almost certainly gain a permanent place in your RPG collection.… Expand

    AWESOME. best rpg in years. sure the graphics let it down, but not to the point that after a few hours of gameplay you will still notice. once you are used to the look you get to the absolutely compelling story... better than any movie i've watched this year, and i am 115 hours in and sure i've done over 300 of the side missions, but still 115 hours of gameplay and more to come. quality gaming.

    One of the biggest masterpiece of Nintendo Wii. This JRPG has the new essence of how to develop a work of art with respect a role games. With a timeless story, gameplay and sound, Monolith Soft achieves the perfect balance in a generation to forget with relation to the JRPG.

    To this day I am simply dumbfounded by how impressive this game's open world is. Contrary to the "corridorization" of recent RPGs, Xenoblade Chronicles opts to immerse the player in a beautifully designed world.

    Oh, it also has one of the best soundtracks to ever grace this medium.

    I played about 25 hours and I have to say that this is the pinnacle of Wii games. I will not finish due to being a week away from the PS4 release. But what I have played is a jrpg at its best. Story, gameplay, graphics and sound are all top notch for the Wii. Just play this with the pro controller and not the nunchucks like I did. This is a 75+ hour game so just be warned.

    "So what is your problem with this game?"
    Well, I happen to have exceptionally high standards when it comes to the writing in RPGs. I value good dialogue, character development, and worldbuilding more than anything. A lot of gamers don't even know what the difference between worldbuilding and 'having a big world' is. A beautiful stage play becomes dull when its stage actors are bland. An expansive world feels empty when its residents are shallow. So, the strongest points of the game, over time, became its most glaring flaws in my eyes.

    In most shorter, linear RPGs, I have an easier time dismissing boring characters and just speed through the plot and be done with it. I couldn't really do that with Xenoblade Chronicles, for this game, the gamer side of me wanted to explore and quest in this beautiful world, but at the same time it is not at all fulfilling. Almost all side quests are generic Free-to-play MMO style "kill 10 bunnies quest #6" "fetch plant quest #7", and there's just a crap ton of them. These quests would have been great if they actually had context, creating opportunities for character interaction between your party members, or some kind of side story that fleshes out the more intricate details of the world the game takes place in. Town NPCs across the realm of Xenoblade are for the most part, extremely boring and pretty much the only reason to talk to them is because most of them give you quests, and most of the time they're the aforementioned mundane tasks.
    The main characters are dull but I can't blame them, they had pretty awful lines and their actual character interaction / development scenes (which did little to help the matter) are locked behind something called the Affinity system. You gain Affinity between characters in battle, very slowly and it can get grindy and once you meet the required Affinity level between certain members, you have to go to specific spots in the world for these bonus dialogue scenes to trigger, some are well hidden. You also gain Affinity by completing side quests. On top of that, many side quests will not be available until you reach a certain "Town Affinity" which consists of you doing quests that helps the NPCs of the specific towns. Given how I felt towards the game's side quests, this was not a good thing.
    So basically, the cast is extremely shallow and soulless, and to make them less shallow and bland I needed to invest considerable amount of time on bad side quests. This type of design does not mesh well with me.    … Expand

I thought the story might end up being a bit cookie cutter but it's not. I should have expected this considering the same storyteller created Xenogears (another classic).

    The battle system is engaging and there are enough characters you can play with to keep it interesting. Some of the missions can be repetitive as there are a lot of fetch quests, but fortunately a lot of these do not require you to return to the quest-giver. I was able to develop an affinity myself for all the characters who, by the way, are voice casted quite well imo.

    The game goes deeper than expected through using character/town affinity and gem crafting systems. Increasing affinity is what seems to take up most of one's time in the game. My main complaint here is that if you focus of finishing side missions and increasing affinity, you easily end up over-leveling yourself for the story missions and boss fights are less rewarding.

    I had an incredible time with my 100+ hours in this gorgeous world. I'd say if one is an RPG fan and happened to miss this gem on the Wii, rectify that situation posthaste!    … Expand

It is a very "Japanese" story however, like we've seen in many other games like final fantasy and various anime, that is to say that it deals with quite a complex and philosophical matter and does so on a grand scale whilst looking almost like an innocent children's game with our ever so perfect righteous main characters who help everybody and only ever do good. This might scare off the more sober audiences who also might or might not like the combat system, which is a more dynamic version of the standard turn-after-turn combat that is decent, but has a lot more potential if it wasn't for some horrible AI. Well it really isn't that bad, but it limits some of the given strategies, which is a shame. Also, I just want to give major props to both the art direction, which made this game that had beneath average graphics because of the Wii's limited power (if you didnt realise by my 150 hours, this game is huge and pushes the Wii over its boundaries), still look visually incredible, and the composers, who have given us what I think is one of the best gaming OSTs ever, for adding to such a memorable experience (and of course, the feels). Xenoblade Chronicles has a story that absolutely blew me away with how amazingly well-crafted and put together it was, and each and every plot twist in within the story absolutely shocked me. For example, finding out that Fiora was still alive was probably the most shocking moment I have ever seen in a video game and Dickson's betrayal completely caught me off guard as well. This game's narrative does span over around 60 hours, which may seem a bit overkill, but not with this game, as it is a narrative that is 100% complete from beginning to end. Ok, enough about the story, lets talk about the rest of the game. As far as gameplay goes, this game has a very intuitive and enjoyable battle system that is highly customizable and really gives the player room to build a team based around whatever aspects they desire, whether it be to build an all-around team, a team based solely strength or one on defense, all the options are there for the player. Also, the world of Xenoblade looks amazing and has some of the most breathtaking locations I've ever witnessed before. Want proof? Just look at Satorl Marsh and Valak Mountain. With all these locations comes a huge amount of content to delve into, as there are literally hundreds of side quests to explore, ranging from simple fetch quests to rebuilding an entire colony from the ground up. Finally, lets talk about the characters. This game has some of the best characters in any video game, such as the protagonist Shulk, Fiora, one of the game's main villains Egil, and the heropon Riki. However, not every character in this game is likable, as there are two that I absolutely despise, those being Mumkhar and Lorithia, but I digress. In conclusion, Xenoblade Chronicles is an absolute masterpiece of a game with the best story I've ever had the pleasure of playing through and one of the greatest experiences I've had with a game.… Expand

    Everything in this game is perfection. The story is like no other. The combat is really fun and engaging. If someone ask me for a recommendation for a game, my first answer is always Xenoblade Chronicles. I feel like this game is not underrated, but overlooked.

    The story here was very good, and I became very attached to some of the characters. I think the strongest aspect here is the story followed closely by the unique environments and enemies within.     With incredible world-building, likeable characters and a compelling story, Xenoblade 1 is undoubtedly one of my favourite games of all time. The setting of Xenoblade is incomparable to any other, and manages to transcend the graphical limitations of the Wii, being impressively beautiful for the console it is on.

    The game is fun. I would argue that it is the best of the franchise. The options you have for tank, DPS, and heals are enjoyable and unlike X actually matter. The DPS actually does something unlike 2 and you in general have more options. It is also not as free as 2 which I actually feel is a good thing. Overall the gameplay was the best.     Xenoblade Chronicles is the greatest game I’ve ever played. No other game, movie or T.V show I’ve seen has even come close to reaching a story as grand as Xenoblade Chronicles. A story as epic that when it anchors you in, there will be no escaping. Xenoblade is a masterpiece, a work of art. So beautifully designed in every way. After a bit of playing you almost stop noticing the poor graphics because of how amazingly executed the setting of Bionis and Mechonis is. You find yourself just stopping to admire the splendour of the environment you’re in; from seeing its mystical creatures, the spectacle forests or even viewing a grandeur giant Titan; a whole other world where your enemy is, just lurking on the other side of the ocean. It’s so excellently crafted that every area of that you’re in is appropriate relative to the actual Titan; for example if you’re in the nopon village which is a tree said to be in the Bionis back, and you zoom out the camera you’ll find that you’re actually on the Bionis back. If you’re on the sword of Mechonis, you can see Bionis’ and Nechonis’ size change depending on where you are on the sword. If you’re on the foot of the Mechonis when it’s misty, when lighting flashes you’ll see a dark, correctly proportioned figure of Bionis lurking in the distance. The story of the game takes use of this excellently made setting by telling the most fascinating work of literature I have experienced. All the plot twists make sense, everything is foreshadowed, everything can be predicted when deeply thought about. Just when you think the story can’t get any better, it does. The characters you meet don’t feel like just characters, but actual people with their own identity and personality, down to the last minor character in the game. You’ll feel sad for them at times, or really happy, and sometimes just confused about how you should feel. The events that take place at the end game makes you question your very own righteousness. The music that accompanies the gameplay and cutscenes just adds the emotion of it all. You could listen back to the music and the emotion you felt during a certain scene where the music played would be felt again, that’s how memorable and great the OST was. The gameplay may start out boring and dull, but so many layers of complexity ends up being added that it never feels stale and always fun and satisfying. Getting past the difficulty of the game limited only by your own will and motivation. You’ll feel the stress of the battle and at times you’d want to give up but just knowing what is at stake and wanting to find out more about the mysteries of the worlds that are bionis and mechonis make you move forward in your quest; Your quest to seize your destiny.    … Expand

    Xenoblade was my first JRPG after Pokemon, and thus my first true experience with common tropes and other things in the genre.
    But Xenoblade surprised me, right from the start to the end of the game, it was a amazing experience.
    I can´t say too much because of spoilers, but if you like JRPG or want to be introduced to the genre, you really should play this game. Its not a easy game, and    Xenoblade was my first JRPG after Pokemon, and thus my first true experience with common tropes and other things in the genre.

    Fantastic storytelling, worldbuilding and a really well written story make this game my number one favourite game. Not everyone might like the combat but I actually enjoyed it. Cant wait for the definitive edition!

The locations are beautiful for a Wii game, and are very creative as well. Something about roaming across two giant titans is just epic. All the locations take place in different spots on the Bionis and Mechonis, and all of them differ greatly in structure and design. For example, there is a large field right on the Bionis' leg called Gaur Plain, and it looks very different in comparison to the Fallen Hand of the Mechonis, which is like a coastal beach. The characters and their designs are just fantastic and very creative. All different types of races live and thrive on both titans, like the Homs (Humans) and the Nopon, which are cute round creatures with very broken English. All of the characters that you meet have great personalities and charm. The main character, Shulk, has almost nothing in common with his best friend, Reyn. Which leads to very interesting interactions between the two characters in heart-to-hearts and in battle. All of the seven party members have great chemistry with each other, and dialogue between them can be very interesting and creative. Character development is also very good in this game, and as the main focus of the story shifts to something greater, the character's attitudes change along with it. But i feel where Xenoblade Chronicles REALLY shines to me is the music. The music is just beautiful. The tracks never get old and always fit the scene perfectly. With some tracks being epic and energetic, and other being calm and ambient. I don't even have any major issues with the game, to me it's nearly perfect, a masterpiece. Of course, with such a huge and demanding game being on the Wii, the graphics aren't anything special, but that's entirely due to technical limitations and is by no means the game's fault. I'll still give it a perfect score nonetheless. I'm positive that Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition will fix this issue, and i already pre-ordered the game. I am extremely excited to play this wonderful game in HD. In conclusion, though I may be biased because I love JRPGs and particularly the Xeno series, i think this game is one of the best I've ever played and definitely my favorite game of all time. I highly recommend this game to not only fans of JRPGs, but everyone for that matter.… Expand

    I first played Xenoblade Chronicles back in 2014. For a 2012 game it had an amazing story and soundtrack that still holds up to this day. The exploration and combat were very enjoyable. Character designs were beautiful, and even with the hardware limitations of the Wii, the environments were breathtaking.

    I was so lucky to be able to go into this game expecting absolutely nothing from it and go out knowing what my favorite game, probably forever, is. It was a brand new franchise being released in the Wii's dead era and only made available in the US due to the efforts of Operation Rainfall. Even though it did manage to came out on top of the other 2 amazing games (Pandora's Tower and TheI was so lucky to be able to go into this game expecting absolutely nothing from it and go out knowing what my favorite game, probably forever, is. It was a brand new franchise being released in the Wii's dead era and only made available in the US due to the efforts of Operation Rainfall. Even though it did manage to came out on top of the other 2 amazing games (Pandora's Tower and The Last Story), its success was very underwhelming. It took the main character, Shulk, getting featured in Smash for its popularity to grow at least a tiny little bit amongst Nintendo fans. Fortunately, 2 other opportunities for making this game receive the notoriety it deserved came along, but again, very unfortunately, both the 3DS and Wii U ports passed by unnoticed too. Now, with a remaster just so good that it reaches into a remake's domains, hopefully, justice will finally be served.
    Every single aspect of this game can be described as amazing and memorable: an enjoyable cast of characters that actually feel like human beings and that go through major development; a delightful original soundtrack that fits every scene it's featured in; a nostalgic yet modern JRPG combat system style; a unique art style that will most definitely immerse you into this game while paired with the other aspects already mentioned and the beautiful and breathtaking scenery and atmosphere that managed to use the Wii's potential to it's fullest. It really amazes me how they managed to do so much with such an outdated console when compared to its rivals at the time: the Xbox 360 and the Playstation 3.
    Lastly, say or think whatever you want, you're allowed to do that. Now, the only thing you can't possibly deny is that this game has a heart. You can only get such results when you have lots of talented and inspired people working with passion and trying their best to make a masterpiece of their work. And that is what Xenoblade Chronicles is, a simply amazing and unforgettable experience. It doesn't try to revolutionize the JRPG genre nor does it have any other grandiose ambition, it only does everything a game should do just so right.
    Many games revolutionize genres, but very few can be considered just the perfect game for each one, and Xenoblade Chronicles is definitely one of them.    … Expand

    it is truly one of the must play jrpgs of the decade. and now with release on switch . more people get to enjoy it. expansive world and great cast. each team member has their quirks and unique personality. personally i like using melia and dunban. music score is amazing. world is beautiful. being shackled to the wii is a shame but it is truly technologically groundbreaking

    The graphics aren't the greatest (no surprises there, its on the wii), but the storyline and the awesome characters as well as complex themes more than make up for it. The fighting is unique and initially challenging but inevitably rewarding. Its open world with plenty of side quests and enemies to fight.This is hands down my favorite game of all time, rpg or otherwise. I highly recommend.

    There's a lot more to recommend Xenoblade Chronicles. The dialogue, the humor, the artwork, the prophecy system, the music, the variety of environments, the character progression, the crafting system, the crazy quest density, the quest quality, the memorable characters, the collectibles, the secrets, and so on. This is a landmark achievement in the genre. As of its release, you can no longer talk about great RPGs, or maybe even great games, without also talking about Xenoblade Chronicles.
