    Only a loner in a basement with a pre-determined mindset could possibly call this game a waste of money. It's an absolute blast. Gamers in my home love to get competitive with this game. Non-gamers in my home end up laughing so hard that they hold their sides in pain and wipe tears from their eyes- even those who aren't playing.     I'm a huge fan of Wario Ware and I've played all the version, but this game falls short of the 9's that the other games were. The micro games are some of the best and weirdest that have ever appeared in a wario ware game. Sadly the solo game is EXTREMELY short and there isn't much insentive to replay the characters stage. The thing that really got me though was how poor the multiplayer was. Pretty much all the variants are hot potato games and make the game too slow to play. There is only 4 multiplayer gametypes which is sad because multiplayer was the thing I was most excited for. I recommend this for any wario ware fan, but if you are unfamiliar with Wario Ware or isn't into beating your highscores then its just a rent.… Expand

    WarioWare: Smooth Moves builds on the formula and gameplay of its predecessors: you have to complete mini-minigames (or microgames) in quick succession before time runs out, but like every WarioWare game before it, Smooth Moves manages to replicate this but also manage to keep things fresh - this time with the introduction of the Baton (aka the Wii Remote) and the addition of motionWarioWare: Smooth Moves builds on the formula and gameplay of its predecessors: you have to complete mini-minigames (or microgames) in quick succession before time runs out, but like every WarioWare game before it, Smooth Moves manages to replicate this but also manage to keep things fresh - this time with the introduction of the Baton (aka the Wii Remote) and the addition of motion controls. Whether it be shaking the Wii Remote just right to get your unnamed man across a tightrope, or swinging it for dear life to escape an incoming boulder, the motion controls and interactivity allow for microgames to be fast-paced, to be fun, and most importantly to be enjoyable. And the speaker on the Wii Remote even blurts out random speech and noises from time-to-time, allowing for a more immersive and funny experience. New characters also come along too, most notably the ninja duo of Young Cricket and his teacher Master Mantis, both of whom have been recurring characters in the series.
    But, here's where my main issue with Smooth Moves is, and that's the length. There's only a few quick character missions each, and then the story mode is over and done with, and there's not a whole lot you can do after.
    Overall, Smooth Moves is a highly-enjoyable, fun and humourous game that kids in particular will really enjoy. The addition of motion controls is a welcome one, and gets you up and moving around, and really making you immerse yourself in each seconds-long microgame. Smooth Moves isn't too expensive either, if you have a spare ten pounds or so and you're interested in Smooth Moves then I say just go ahead and buy it.     I just bought this game and I think its the best use of the wii remote yet. I cannot see how much further developers can take the concept of Wario Ware. Simply the perfect game for the platform.

    Probably more of a 9.5 but I can't give it a perfect 10 due to the missing multiplayer elements from earlier versions. The lack of replay value has been greatly overexaggerated. Are you gonna play this game for 40 hours straight like Zelda? Probably not. But this is the first game many Wii users will still be picking up in 6 months. If you're looking for a game that is great in Probably more of a 9.5 but I can't give it a perfect 10 due to the missing multiplayer elements from earlier versions.     If you are familiar with and enjoyed the previous games in the series, this version will likely be of little surprise, but you'll like it. However, it is rather short (yes, replayable, etc) and it feels that some of the games rely on the novelty of the controls as opposed to being interesting in and of themselves, as in the first in the series.     Literally hundreds of 3 second games as well as a few mini games to keep you ammused for many hours. The more i played smooth moves, the more I got hooked. 3 year old kids love it to, as so simple to play. Great fun game.. highly recommended for everyone, including people who don't like shoot them up type games.

    Of all games on the new plattforms this is the most fun. Realy wacky and crazy! Most injoyable played in groups of all ages. The only problem with the game is that that the story mode seems to just fly away. Your done the game before you nkow it.

    Okay, fair comment form everyone, the single player mode take about half an hour to complete... But you do get some dancing cats and a pair of ninjas call cat and Anna (katana for everyone who didn't get that). It's good fun, and it kept me amused for the half an hour that it took to play, but then the real fun came in the multilayer mode.     Sure...it's short,the graphics aren't really appealing and no main storyline but Wario Ware isn't about those things...it's about fun. Even if you beat it, you go for more as it's addictive and funny. It isn't the best in the series...but it is well done.

    You may think my score is too generous, but you're completely wrong. Wario Ware for Wii is genius, despite how stupid it is. It's just simple but brilliant and stupid fun. Production values are charming with simple graphics that work fine, and instantly catchy music. I've never seen a game use the Wii remote in such silly and amazing way.     If you’ve played other games in the series, you know how crazy Wario’s money scheme of a game can be, with short amounts of time to do things from sharpening pencils to picking noses (yes, it’s true). For those of you who haven’t, be prepared, because Wario is lazy and impatient, and the very short and simple microgames he makes show it off.

    Since this was made for the Wii, motion controls and the sensor bar are almost the only things that you use (aside from a few clicks of the A and B buttons), though the microgames Nintendo has come up with are original and fun despite being weird and short. Actions range from shaking to swinging to dancing, and the game never feels too easy - there are actually some that are more difficult than others, though this doesn’t feel negative in any way. And there are about 20 starting ‘forms’, or positions, at the start of each microgame, which tells you how you should position yourself for each game, like holding the Wii Remote vertically or holding it on top of your head.

    I can’t say anything specific about the microgame graphics - they’re all meant to give a different feel to the games. One microgame might be a 3D flipping of a pancake, and the next might be pixel Mario collecting coins from a block. The cutscenes and world map have a cartoonish style, but there isn’t much animation in the characters, they’re all either stop motions or moving pictures. Then there’s the sound. There’s music everywhere; there’s almost always music playing. The sound effects are really fitting if not sometimes funny, like when Wario bursts out from a wanted poster you had to flatten on to the wall.

    Although the story part of the game is short and could be completed in a few hours, you only discover half of the microgames the first time ‘round. There are over 200 microgames, and if you want them all, you have to replay the section in which the microgame comes from, which can get a little bit repetitive if you’re unlucky. Every time you play, the game randomizes the microgames that you go through. After a certain amount of microgames, they get faster and you have less time to complete them, and eventually you’ll get to a boss game, that is challenging but has no time limit. After that, the minigames become harder, and you’ll cycle through that 3 times before reaching a point where every microgame you play gets a little bit faster.

    After completing the game, there are the extras. First there’s the actual, full games, which include a bird version of Space Invaders and a block stacking game. Then there’s a set of microgames that use the Balance Stone, a.k.a the Nunchuk. There’s a fitness-type stage that has you moving a lot. There’s a sound studio, and finally, there are four games that mix up all the microgames in different ways, for example, starting out really fast or not telling you what form to use.

    Fast and fun, WarioWare Smooth Moves has over 200 microgames and makes really good use of the Wii’s motion controls and sensor bar, though multiplayer could be improved a bit with more game modes and multi-controller support.

Don't get me wrong, all the classic characters were there and some new ones as well (who I really liked), and the individual stories are for me the best any WarioWare game offers bar Touched! on the DS, but I blasted through this in less than a day.     It was amusing for about 15 minutes. The same games repeat over and over. They're over too quickly and just tedious to complete. I have no idea who paid the game reviewers to give such great reviews, but what a waste of money this game was!

    I gave this a 1, because it was fun for about 1 hour. I have not played a fun game on the Wii yet (including Zelda) besides Wii Sports. Unless something is coming out soon, I will sell this overpriced Gamecube.

    The game is interesting for the first 2 minutes of play than you realize that the most fun you can have with it is when you are tossing the game as a frisbee disc. The games require no skill or understanding as to why you beat the game. BOOOOOOO to the great Wario, his moves are anything but Smooth.

    I went to get this game after hearing great things about, i started to play, and my mouth dropped at the shear horror of one of the worst games i have ever ever known. The game involves no real story line and has a long line of incredibly short and pointless mini games which are extremely stupid. each mini game last around 3-5 seconds, and are repetitive.     Everyone in our house LOVES the Wii so we've gone through a lot of games and this one has to be the WORST !! Graphics looks amateurish, games are nonsense, it was like they tossed a bunch of junk on a disc and hoped for the best. Do yourself a favor and buy something more fun like Mario Party or Twilight Princess.

    Beat the game way to fast. Everybody said this was a great party game, one of the first I bought almost a year ago. We hate it! The biggest waste of 50 bucks ever...What kind of mini/party game only alows one player at a time? We beat it and have never played it since...Buy something different or better yet, nothing at all.

You can't skip through the ridiculous intros, and the game quickly becomes boring after seeing the same sort of games over and OVER again. This is essentialy Rayman Raving Rabbids with Wario.     I like the little ccities especially because most of them are so random. I also like the fact that when you had finished the game you could play multi-player. I play with my younger brother on the multi player and we both have so much fun. I would definately reccomend this game. 9/10 !

    Wario Ware obviously lost its charm and novelty a long time ago. Not a bad game. The major problem with it is that the control aren't always as responsive as they should be and in a game where you have to think fast and act fast to go as far as possible, it's just hard to ignore.     this game sucks, it is getting boring very fast, because you always play the same sh.t in another variation. the difficulty is to low and the storyline is really short and bad. i would not advise anybody to buy this game!

    Useless. Boring. And only a one player game - where was the fun? I thought it could have been redeemed if it had a fun multiplayer game, but overall it was a disappointment; it was stupid reviews saying it was brilliant that swayed me into geting it, I just thank god I was able to trade it in and get credit for other, better games. Avoid at all costs!

    I gave it a 2 because t was fun for the beggining. I didnt know how short the games were or how repetetive they got. no real story line, and got very, very boring. I do NOT reccomend this game to ANYONE.

I wish I hadn't paid full price for it. For the more mature audience, it makes a fun party game whilst imbibing adult beverages.     I am utterly bewildered that even 1 person could rate this game above a 3. It is the biggest waste of money I have made in an extremely long time. I finished every bit of this game in less than an hour and a half. I bought this game because it was #3 on the top games list. Be smarter than i was. Buy Twilight Princess.

    It would be a great game if it weren't for a few drabacks. For 1 its waaaay to short. I got it on my birthday and the next day it was on the shelves at GameStop. Secondly, it's just too Japanese.     It's pretty lackluster compared to the GBA original. Each microgame only has 3 difficulty levels. It doesn't scale up forever like in the GBA game, so there's very little replay value. The multiplayer minigames are lackluster as well. There are collectable cards that are sort of awarded to you at random and really aren't worth taking the time to collect, so completionists will not likeIt's pretty lackluster compared to the GBA original.     One of the most fun and innovative experiences out there for the Wii. Personally the quirky graphics make this game even better, elevating SmoothMoves to on of the most visually innovative games I've seen in a long time. Though some will surely gripe (short single player and quirky controls) this game will bring any party to its feet in no time.     This game is a must buy for anyone who owns a Wii. Tons of fast paced and odd minigames that never get boring, the only reason you might not want this game are for its mostly 2D graphics and extreme wackiness.

The games are very fun and the controls are spot-on (98% of the time, sometimes it won't register but that's pretty rare). Graphically, the game retains it art style, while branching off into some GameCube graphics during some of the minigames. The colors are vibrant, the framerate a smooth 60 fps, and it looks very sharp in 480p. It is definitely one of the best games on the Wii besides for Zelda: The Twilight Princess and Trauma Center: Second Opinion in my opinion.     Great game! The most fun I've had with a game for awhile! Well, besides Gears of War, but those shouldn't be compared anyway. Fact is, this game is fun, shows off the capabilities of the Wii remote, and most of all, it cannot be done on any other system. You'll keep coming back to it regardless of the games length because it's so addictive. Great job, Nintendo!

    I cannot think that there will be ever a game which makes more fun than this one and it makes perfectly use of the wiimote. but i gave it a nine, because for people who do not play Wii with friends (I hope it's a minority), the game is too short, when you dislike playing for highscores.

    I really enjoy playing this game when having a little gathering of friends and some alcohol. The games are nice and fast-paced--perfect for quick games when things around you are hectic. It's also enjoyable in single player mode. As for the storyline, there isn't one. But who buys a game full of mini-games just for the storyline? Just get in there and play.

    Smooth mooves as some of the best fun you can have with friends or by yourself... for about an hour. The problem with such short minigames is that they don't add up to much game. Anybody with a pulse and a working body will have fun with Smooth Mooves, but just not for long. Surely worth renting.

That said, the "movies" in the game should have been skippable because they were simply "cute" -- not funny, interesting, or disturbing - an odd part of the game which in a different universe from the rest of the game's atmosphere.     If you don't have friends or family DON'T BUY THIS GAME! The single player is very easy and I beat it within 4 hours and had every mode unlocked. This game is extremely fun to play with other people, but not a very good experience alone.

    Let me tell you, 2006/2007 was a pretty fun time to be a Nintendo fan (at least, it was for 8-9 year old me). Nintendo had just released their shiny, exciting, innovative new Wii system and they'd given us plenty of great games to play on it. Beyond fantastic titles like "The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess," "Metroid Prime 3: Corruption" and "Super Mario Galaxy," Nintendo experimentedLet me tell you, 2006/2007 was a pretty fun time to be a Nintendo fan (at least, it was for 8-9 year old me). Nintendo had just released their shiny, exciting, innovative new Wii system and they'd given us plenty of great games to play on it. Beyond fantastic titles like "The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess," "Metroid Prime 3: Corruption" and "Super Mario Galaxy," Nintendo experimented with plenty of games that, in ways, felt like interactive tech demos that showcased the Wii's motion controls. While "Wii Sports" might be the biggest example that might jump to mind, one that I personally loved as a child was "WarioWare: Smooth Moves." Having grown up with several previous installments in the franchise (specifically "WarioWare Inc.: Mega Party Games!" and "WarioWare: Touched!"), I was instantly excited to see the franchise arrive on the Wii, and I ended up sinking a ridiculous amount of time into the game, beating it several times over and never growing tired of it. And having just beaten it again recently, I can say that it definitely hasn't lost its luster.
    The Wii Remote and the "WarioWare" franchise are practically destined to be together: with the series' wacky gameplay style, along with the fact that it's never been afraid to show off what a certain system can do, making a "WarioWare" entry centered around the Wii Remote is fantastic, as it allows the Wii Remote to really show off the range of motions and styles of play the control can create. And it does so in a way that's extremely fun, never letting up in regards to microgame variety and never showing fear in getting a bit goofy. The vibrant, colorful, in-your-face visuals of the game are still as strong as ever, the sound design is rock solid (and the music is extremely memorable), and there's plenty of fun unlockables to pick out throughout the game. What's more, the return of multiplayer is a welcome addition, and the specific multiplayer games are fantastically bizarre and memorable, not only showing off the capabilities of the Wii Remote (and occasionally the Nunchuk), but making for quite the romp if you play it with a good few friends.
    Even so, the game is not without its flaws, chief among them being the short length. It's been beaten to death since the game's release 12 years ago, but really, in my latest playthrough of the game, I was able to beat the story, along with the Kelorometer and Elephant Buildings, in roughly an hour and a half. That's pretty much nothing for a game that's still selling at close to full price, and unless you decide to go through the legwork of playing the game enough to unlock all the microgames (which, even then, probably won't take that long), this is a game that you can beat in a day. Also, while the variety is strong and the Wii Remote's potential is shown off pretty brilliantly, I do think some of the forms can be a bit too difficult to control (I'm looking right at you, Mortar and Pestle), to the point where I wonder if the game would've been better off without them. Perhaps they could've given a few more Nunchuk-based sections, since the game is pretty short on them.
    Even so, I can safely say that "WarioWare: Smooth Moves," even if it gets lost in the pack of quality first-party Wii titles, is still a really great game and a strong showcase of the Wii Remote's potential (well, maybe not so much in 2019 where the Wii is essentially dead, but hey, it's a nice thing to jump back in time to!), and it's another entry in one of Nintendo's more underappreciated franchises. It's a whole lot of fun to play, and despite its short length, there's never a dull moment in this party game extravaganza.

    This game is so much fun, especially with other people. It's fast-paced and very randomized and that's what makes it fun. Now I do have to be in the right mood to play this game, but I still have a fun time even when I'm not in the mood. The motion controls don't work 100% of the time, but that is an issue with a lot of Wii games, so that issue isn't exclusive to this game.

It was clever for each character to have specialized ways to hold the Wiimote during mini games giving the player a digestible opportunity to memorize each control scheme. In addition, the boss battles for each character are truly innovative and have an air of joyful creepiness that makes them a hoot to play. This reviewer’s only complaint is the sometimes finicky nature of Wiimote connection and the lack of forgiveness in game timers that do not pity the unconnected fool.     WarioWare Smooth Moves is the WarioWare I grew up with (Alongside D.I.Y.) and in my opinion is the best game in the series.

    Sure, early Wii motion controls are a bit excessive here, in fact it's the bulk of controlling the game. But, WarioWare Smooth Moves is the only game on the Wii that shows the true power of the controller with its many ways to control the microgames. And the    WarioWare Smooth Moves is the WarioWare I grew up with (Alongside D.I.Y.) and in my opinion is the best game in the series.

    All of the people saying this game sucks, KYS. Just because you have a skill issue doesn’t mean you can lowly rank this gem of a Wii game.

    I had a great time with Wario Ware: Smooth Moves, and you'll get a lot of value out of the game if you're the type that hosts parties or if you have a group of friends or family already that are enjoying games like "Wii Sports" or "Rayman: Raving Rabbids" together.
