DanHDec 30, 2009Solid fighter. The visuals lack polish (at least on my non-HD TV), the cut scenes are a minus. Like Super Smash Bros, sometimes the action gets too small to see. I'm still hoping for a game of this ilk with arenas atuned more to gameplay than fanciness.

RichardWongSep 29, 2009Battle Royal and Tournament play are but a couple of the great things that await you in this game. Multiplayer modes are available online or offline with friends, which is a welcome touch. The campaign is a story written by The Man himself

Sep 4, 2011There is really no reason to ever play this game if Smash Bros is an option. Licensing materials aside, TMNT is inferior in every way. If, somehow, every copy of Smash Bros mysteriously disappeared this would be a good game, but settles for decent instead. For those who are tired of Smash Bros (how?) or just love TMNT beyond reason then this game might be worth a rental.

May 9, 2019If you wanna play smash bros on wii and like ninja turtles. You will love this game. And the soundtrack is far better than most modern games.

Apr 24, 2022This game perfect for ninja turtles fans. Smash clone but with heath bar. This game you favorite tmnt character like main four turtles, shedder,Spilter(i spelled that wrong) and three rabbits. The stages are bad but still fun. The story cutside comic look great.

For all its positives, in the end, Smash Up is simply less and fewer in every way than Brawl. There are fewer levels (by half), fewer characters (by half), fewer collectible trophies (by an order of magnitude)… and the overall number of unlockables isn’t even in the same ballpark. It’s still a good game, and there’s no denying the appeal once you begin to perfect your technique, but comparison is inevitable under the circumstances.

It simply isn't as fun as Super Smash Bros., and it's too similar to pull in anyone who isn't already a fan of Nintendo's fighting game. All in all, it should be reserved for only those who still sleep in Michelangelo pajamas and play with their the Ninja Turtle Pizza Shooter.

Smash-Up is a good game for those that really want a decent TMNT fighter, but it doesn’t do a whole lot to make it its own experience.
