    The Wii has a lot of potential, don't get me wrong it's still a great console, but it's not as good as it could be, I mean they could do so much more with the motion controlled gaming if the game developers would put the same amount of effort into Wii games that they put into the other systems like the PS3 or the 360, so many games that come out for this system just seem rushed and theThe Wii has a lot of potential, don't get me wrong it's still a great console, but it's not as good as it could be, I mean they could do so much more with the motion controlled gaming if the game developers would put the same amount of effort into Wii games that they put into the other systems like the PS3 or the 360, so many games that come out for this system just seem rushed and the controls just don't work at all, I mean I've seen games on this system that make the motion controls excellent, but so many other games can't even read most movements, or game developers just through in a couple of flicks of the wrist and call that motion controlled gaming, same goes for the graphics, I understand that the Wii doesn't have the same graphical power as the other consoles out there, but there are some game developers have still worked around this by at least giving it a unique graphical style, so many other developers just toss out some ugly game with crappy controls to make a quick buck, but the game developers who put time and effort into the games have truly created some fantastic games for the Wii, and honestly it works well even with the graphical limitations if the developers work hard enough, and honestly there are some fantastic games available, this is a great, under-appreciated console.… Expand

    When Nintendo announced the Wii, many critics got skeptical , other laughed to dead in the first view of the controller and other mixed tastes. To tell the truth, Nintendo really did managed to grab many people's view, especially the casual people. I, as a owner i can't denny that when the console released in my opinion it really was the best, with tittles like Zelda and incredible futureWhen Nintendo announced the Wii, many critics got skeptical , other laughed to dead in the first view of the controller and other mixed tastes. I, as a owner i can't denny that when the console released in my opinion it really was the best, with tittles like Zelda and incredible future franchises that got my attention, later then that appeal decreased but was an impact for the public. Old people, dudes that never played, kids especially, really found a good place to start in the gaming community, so by far Nintendo Wii is a great console with many controversy due to the games ( hardcore especially). The Wii has a nice catalog of classic Nintendo games that impress. It's a nie console folks. even with some lacking sides though.… Expand

    The wii is a great console, with motion controls, a wii shop, netflix, forecast, and news channel. You could also interact with other people who had their wii console as well!

    The Wii may not be as powerful as the PS3 and XBOX 360, something you probably know. But it still is a great console. Compared to other 7th gen consoles the Wii has a better game selection and unlike other consoles, is directed to a more wider audience age-wise. A lot of great games like Super Mario Galaxy, The Legend Of Zelda Twilight Princess, and Sonic Colors are commercial success'sThe Wii may not be as powerful as the PS3 and XBOX 360, something you probably know. But it still is a great console. Compared to other 7th gen consoles the Wii has a better game selection and unlike other consoles, is directed to a more wider audience age-wise. A lot of great games like Super Mario Galaxy, The Legend Of Zelda Twilight Princess, and Sonic Colors are commercial success's and are widely critically acclaimed.
    Overall, I recommend buying a Wii (or Wii U because of backwards compatibility), and to be honest, you WON'T regret it. :)    … Expand

    This console, while not as powerful as the Xbox 360 or PS3, has made a bigger impact on the industry. It introduces motion controls and adds more depth to certain games.

    People need to realize the REAL definition of being a gamer: playing a game because you like it. It's not all about sitting in your chair for 10 hours a day playing bloody and gory games. Nintendo innovates, Microsoft and Sony imitates.

    The Wii is the first consol to creat your Mii and is my favourite consol and my 2nd. The Wii have a menu and a shop ( Wii Shop) but the wifi are dead in my games and i can't play online in mario Kart.

    the harrcore gamer in me doesnt even want to give the Wii a 5 even but there are some good games worth playing on it . like dead space extraction , house of the dead 2 , 3 and over kill and resident evil UC and DC and a few other as well as the nintendo based games . ive had a Wii for over 4 years and my play time with it is probubly less then 100 hours a year. ive put more time playingthe harrcore gamer in me doesnt even want to give the Wii a 5 even but there are some good games worth playing on it . like dead space extraction , house of the dead 2 , 3 and over kill and resident evil UC and DC and a few other as well as the nintendo based games . ive had a Wii for over 4 years and my play time with it is probubly less then 100 hours a year. ive put more time playing Disgaea 3 or Gears of war online then ive put in all the time ive played the wii. in the years ive had it. its a dust collector for the most part and probubly is best as a party gaming system for at home or for kids . the Wii's online set up is a joke so if you like multiplayer gaming then the Wii is not for you . if you like hardcore games you will find very very few but you will find ALOT of shovelware. this system is not for the hardcore gamer but like the rest i have to have it because well... im a hardcore gamer and there is atleast some games worth playing on it . though the smarter move would have been to wait till the system was $99 and get it then along with all the good games which by then you can get for less then it costs you to get into the movies.… Expand

    its great! but if your a kid.... yeah the wii was cool when it came out but now its really kiddie and the games uh it just doesn't appeal to hardcore gamers. the graphics are last gen too.

    I find the Wii to be a novelty item. Its fancy, but lacks a practical use. There are few really good games for it because no one wants to create good games for it. Every game for the Wii is very simple, shallow, and many require expensive accessories to play. You play the Wii for a day, and think, "wow this is so neat and different" But then the next day you are like... 'meh,' and goI find the Wii to be a novelty item.
