Midnight Pool isn't a genre-changing experience for the world of video billiards, but it is the best game of pool you can find anywhere on Wii, despite its internet flash game roots.

Midnight Pool is a welcome purchase on the Wii Ware system, representing decent value for your Wii points.

As always with Gameloft's efforts, the mostly solid gameplay is simply undersold by some rough edges that betray the title's Java and/or Flash roots. It's certainly not the best pool game you'll ever play, but for the price it should prove more than enough for most people's needs.

You will be hard pressed to find a better pool experience on the Wii, especially with an $8 price tag.
