The Wii instalment is still a serviceable option for those who have yet to upgrade to a Wii U or Nintendo Switch, as the core experience is very much the same as it has always been. Local multiplayer is supported for up to 4 players (or 5 players should a player choose to sing along via a USB microphone), however, there is no support for the Just Dance Controller app on smart devices (which every other version supports).
The initial loading time is quite long though (as it is on Wii U as well), however, once that is out of the way, the songs and interface tend to load reasonably quickly from thereon. Load times are significantly decreased on Nintendo Switch, which lends itself well to quick sessions with friends (which also has the distinct advantage of portability).
