C.S.Jan 30, 2008Worked great for me! Thumb pad steers better that turning the controller, but that makes it hard to fire the weapons and turn at the same time. A fun drive for those of us who had these toys.

DH.Jan 3, 2008The game did not work on the Wii. I was directed first to Activision; then to Activision Value. The website activisionvalue.com is difficult to navigate. While the game's concept is great, I would not recommend this game.

AnonymousMCFeb 13, 2008Not all bad. For those of us who grew up with Hot Wheels and imagined racing around our bed room, it fits the bill. It doesn't hold interest for long. After 30min to an hour your done; although you will pick it up again. Two player battle resembles the first twisted metal.

Although the gameplay isn't quite broken since it's still physically possible to participate in races, it just isn't fun.

Hot Wheels: Beat That! would have made a solid gift for a 6-8 year old kid looking for a new racing game if the game was valued-priced. At full retail price, though, it’s near impossible to recommend the game for purchase. It’s not that anything is inherently broken but it is incredibly uninspired.

Hot Wheels: Beat That! is fun because it doesn’t pretend to be something that it isn’t. It’s enjoyable because it’s fanciful and it is something familiar at the same time.
