Feb 13, 2012For the love of god and all things holy, WHEN is somebody going to make a half-decent fishing game? The optional fishing games in Ocarina of Time and Twilight Princess were TEN TIMES better than this ridiculous, half-baked, rushed crap. It is appalling that someone would actually release a game this broken and aggressively un-fun.

Jun 9, 2021This is an amazing Wii game, with beautiful graphics and seemingly endless content, a truly amazing fishing game. I would expect nothing less from Yuji Naka.

Aug 2, 2023I remember playing this game when I was a kid, and enjoying it. I feel like it’s the most underrated wii game ever. I mean, it’s better than actual fishing, and that’s saying something. But, I will say, it’s not the most ground breaking, must play game ever.

#14 Most Discussed Wii Game of 2011

Jan 6, 2012Fishing Resort is a very good package. There are a lot of things to do, and the world they're done in is attractive and inviting.
-
Jan 4, 2012In the end, this on-paper depth doesn't translate well to the fishing experience, and the game's smiling aesthetic isn't enough to save it.

Dec 28, 2011Even if you aren't particularly fond of the genre, you will likely find some enjoyment in its engaging controls and large variety of fish to catch, which is enough to recommend the title to those curious about it. It's not like you have much else to play until Xenoblade comes out.
