As stated before, FIFA Soccer 12 is a solid game for Nintendo's console but only if you haven't played last year's version.

The Street sideshow adds value, but the actual football is well below that of 360/PS3. [Dec 2011, p.91]

This game is packed with little goals, and as you achieve them your city flourishes and levels up. Leveling up grants you access to the new Intercity Cup, a tournament in which you try to prove your city's supremacy over the surrounding computer-controlled cities. [Oct 2011, p.86]

A perfectly passable football game, if somewhat insubstantial. It pales in comparison with its console peers, but then most games would.

FIFA 12 is an updated version of FIFA 11, with several adjustments within the single player content, but it completely lacks any online mode, one of the last edition's highlights.

FIFA 12 boasts a far better single player experience, filled with new game modes and trophies: unfortunately, the game is exactly the same as last year, with all its ups and downs.

With Wii U around the corner, FIFA 12 on Wii was never going to be a revolution. The new FIFA City mode is just wallpaper for what's just FIFA 11 in new clothes.
  9. Plays a good game, but FIFA 11 owners will be annoyed at how similar it is.

Like NHL SLAPSHOT, it has enough fun modes and incentives to keep you playing for a long time. FIFA City and Manager Mode are great. You canLike NHL SLAPSHOT, it has enough fun modes and incentives to keep you playing for a long time. FIFA City and Manager Mode are great. You can now customize your formations and tactics (new this time). The Wii version of FIFA 12 has found a comfortable and attractive niche in terms of appearance: not realstic, but players are recognizable without many jagged edges. As for the gameplay, it's solid (with a classic controller). Chips, crosses, and through passes are responsive as you and your player skill allow. FIFA 12 for Wii clearly pails in comparison with the other console versions, but it is a very good soccer game with worthy upgrades...now if only PES would stop sitting on it's laurels. Full Review »
