Apr 20, 2015this game somehow managed to throw out the window everything that made the original good in the first place.
bad graphics, reused Resident Evil 4 mechanics, very clunky controls... don't buy this.
if you're gonna buy Dead Rising, make sure it's the Xbox360 version. -

Mar 3, 2023The Wii version of "Dead Rising" is a simplified remix. For instance, you no longer use Frank's camera and firearms are more prominent. Also, there are less zombies on-screen. The game is a lot easier than the original Xbox 360 game. It's less frustrating. Sadly, it doesn't deliver the true "Dead Rising" experience. Still, it's fun. I would rate this with a 6.5 out of 10.

A lot of corners have been cut to get this game on the Wii and the result is not the impressive next-gen experience it was on the 360. Rather, it's a breezy weekend diversion with some fun gameplay and subpar graphics.
-
Another example of a game that greatly underperforms on a perfectly capable console.

Capcom gives us a wiimote to go shopping again in Willamette. Probably, Dead Rising: Chop Till You Drop had deserved an independent design, instead of a port, but it still can be a good survival-horror action choice for gamers who don't own an Xbox 360.
