Jul 11, 2013This is a serviceable pinball game with the bizarre "tables" that highlight the original TurboGrafx-16 game upon which it is based. The physics aren't perfect and some of the ball bounce takes a little getting used to, but it's not a bad game by any means. Fans of the original will probably enjoy this most; those looking for a realistic pinball sim should look elsewhere.
-
While story mode is a bit simple, the animation and overall visual presentation the game is pretty impressive overall, and at the end of the day, the game is fun enough to warrant an 800 point purchase if you're into pinball, or were a fan of the older Alien Crush/Devil's Crush games.
-
With Alien Crush Returns, Hudson has somehow managed to retain all of the unique and addictive elements of the original game while simultaneously adding in enough fresh game play ideas to bring the cult classic properly up to date.
