    The Grumpy Reaper is based on an interesting and original concept which is severely ruined by the way the game was executed.

    In conclusion, The Grumpy Reaper isn't going to win any awards for originality; there's a distinct 'Rare'-esq feel to the cartoony graphical presentation and the fuzzy nostalgia feeling that comes with the basic gameplay is initially quite endearing - the simplicity feels refreshing.

    The presentation is charming and the power ups are fun to use. The problem is, of course, that it's not necessarily a game that you're going to want to play on consoles.
