Scribble definitely carves its own niche as a solid, out of the box party game for the Wii U. Since it doesn't require anyone to mess around with additional Wii Remotes or other accessories, it's really easy to set up and play anytime. It's hard not to wish there was slightly more to the game, and despite the simple controls, it would have been nice if there were a couple of options for alternative control setups. It won't turn any heads, but it's a solid Pictionary clone, and one that's sure to please party-goers of all ages.

Overall, Scribble hits all of the marks of a solid multiplayer party game. It knows what it wants to do and executes well on it. So if you have a bunch people over and want a simple game for an enjoyable time, consider downloading Scribble. Anyone can play it, and everyone will enjoy it.

The longevity of the gameplay will be a concern. I’m sure at some point the family will move on and may not revisit it for a few months. I can see it getting a major break, especially when a few more AAA titles hit with the Nintendo Switch. Now, the forgiving factor for that future move will be the price point of the game. The game delivers so much for the $3.99 asking price. I can’t think of another game that brings my family together like this one for that price. It will be hard to find something that compares to it and keeps every member (and age) of my family together for some stupid fun.
