First of all, this will not be cheap if you'll like to have all experience, you have a starter pack but then you will have to buy 2 kind of sets, the ones that includes a character e.g. Bart Simpson and skateboard and those that includes an extra level e.g. Homer Simpson pack, this Wii U version is the same that the one for PS4 and Xbox One if you have that doubt.

Portal function without constructing the structure but that's the magic, same as when the game ask you to rebuild a figure, you can trick the game but that kill the experience. Instructions for each figure are include on the game and is so easy to use it. This is the same kind of Lego games but with a lot of universes included!

LEGO Dimensions lack any actual fun. Don't let all the silly crossover stuff fool you. It's to think that you might love the game, but at the end, it just feels like something that should be stay put until the next day comes.

Lego games can be real fun. Indiana Jones or Star Wars for example. But Lego Dimensions is just boring, repetitive and you need a lot of money to experience the full game. Not worth it!

Overall, LEGO Dimensions takes the LEGO gaming experience to its logical next level – perhaps beyond. [Issue #18 – November/December 2015, p.64]

LEGO Dimensions feels like the bare minimum required to qualify as a video game in this day and age—it's a shallow, repetitive experience that leans heavily on the appeal of LEGO toys and a dozen very expensive licenses... which probably explains why the $99 starter set only gives you access to a fraction of the total game content.

LEGO Dimensions is filled with promise, but the paywalls and the requirement to regularly interact in-game massively impact upon the final product.
