Batman: Arkham Origins: Blackgate Deluxe Edition is both fun and frustrating—exactly the kind of game I don’t like reviewing. If you can focus on the parts that work (exploration, collectibles) and downplay the stuff that doesn’t (the map, the combat), you’ll have a good time.

A good Batman experience that is overshadowed by its bigger brothers in almost every way.

It's a mediocre one, simple as that.

I'm really not sure what is so deluxe about this version of the game. The graphics are updated and that's really mostly it. The cutscenes really had no need to remain in their comic book format. Sure, the idea is novel but sometimes the visuals on the cutscenes can just be pretty..ugh. The cutscenes themselves (which are pretty boring) are really long and get old after a short while.

Now, the overworld. Oh, my, my, my, my. The overworld. Blackgate is essentially a maze of nothingness. It's complicated to get through when you're trying to get to a certain spot. Unless the game is holding your hand the entire time, you will get lost. You will get lost a lot. I was really expecting much more from this game and it didn't really deliver. Now it may seem like all I'm doing is hating on the game but it's not completely bad. Blackgate, the dull place it is, is well designed in its own right. The combat, like all Arkham games, is good and the graphics are decent.

Overall, Blackgate-Deluxe Edition isn't as deluxe as I was expecting. The cutscenes are meh...the overworld is meh...the gameplay is meh. The whole game's basically...meh. Is it worth picking up? I say only if you're a die-hard Arkham fan.

This is definitely the worst batman arkham game I've ever played for it having bad visuals, repetitive gameplay, annoying detective sequences,This is definitely the worst batman arkham game I've ever played for it having bad visuals, repetitive gameplay, annoying detective sequences, a confusing world, a boring story and probably the worst map ever made.

The game is set three months after the events of ''Batman: Arkham Origins'' and you are once again the cape crusader, The story begins with Blackgate Prison is being taken over by the inmates of the prison and the prison been divided by three sections with Black Mask, Penguin and the Joker controlling a section each, this also where you meet Catwoman, what's sounds so good turns out to be so boring.

Then is the gameplay which is so pathetic Its like the developers didn't even give a damn, and the stelth isn't interesting and you have to scan everything to move on and the 2.5D camera is really confusing.
