I tried to complete as much of the game as possible but the many major design flaws make it extremely frustrating. The first 75 levels repeat the same words over and over again. Words are often names, which can be somewhat obscure. Words which would fit the spaces are not accepted. Abbreviations and acronyms are used as words. The longest word for each level can be found by just looking at the letters in a clockwise direction. The "mix letters" button simply rotates the letters in the same order. There is no customisation of layout and as such, most right-handed people will find their hand over the grid and be unable to see it and enter letter at the same time. The developer does not understand the premise of a grid; often 5 spaces in a row is not actually for a 5-letter word. It requires an input of the first 4 letters as a word, with the 5th letter space not being related and making the total combination gibberish. Expand

Gonna have to go with the general consensus here and say that this game is bad, which is a shame because I typically like this kind of game.Gonna have to go with the general consensus here and say that this game is bad, which is a shame because I typically like this kind of game. The most frustrating thing I experienced was when the game wanted me to give it a word that was shorter than the spaces in the grid would indicate. (i.e. a 4 letter word like "EVER" in a row or column with 5 spaces, resulting in nonsense like "EVERV.")

Another issue with this game is how clunky the button controls are, which I wouldn't take as much issue with if my hand didn't cover up the grid due to how the screen is laid out. (the letters you input are on the lefthand side of the screen while the grid is on the righthand side of the screen)

It is also disappointing that the game doesn't reward you for making words that aren't in the grid like you'd see in mobile games of this style.

Overall, I can not recommend this game.

I had to create an account on Metacritic to leave a review to try and warn people from purchasing this game.

Not only are the mechanics broken (i.e a 3 letter word required to fill a 4 letter gap), the 'Hard' levels include words like 'Cat' and 'Car'. Also includes multiple words that have no use in the English dictionary and does not reward you for finding words that aren't in the puzzle. Indeed, you will spend a lot of time inserting legitimate words only to find out that it's not the word the puzzle requires.

You should not purchase this game even if it was free.

Not only are the puzzles frustrating and annoying in their stupidity, but also the game is buggy and has nonwords included (SETG?) You can try a word one time and it's wrong and later it's right. Makes no sense. Lots of three-letter words. No 'clues' as with a crossword puzzle, so it's just try, try again for the word they're thinking of when many could fit.

Wish I had checked here before buying.

I am not one to rate games usually but for this one I must. The developer of this game must be a 2 year old.the puzzles are remedial at bestI am not one to rate games usually but for this one I must. The developer of this game must be a 2 year old.the puzzles are remedial at best laying out the letters in the order of the word so unless you are a complete moron this game is not challenging at all.I got it on sale last night for 69 cents and I feel cheated. They use names and abbreviations wich is rediculous for a puzzle game.If you have a toddler in need of a game to play have at it but if you are older than 5 don't waste your money.Check out the wordscapes games in the play store or Apple app store. They are free and a lot better than this game.Nintendo should be ashamed for having this game for sale.
