I bought this game on sale on a complete whim because I really liked the art style, hours later and I'm hooked.

A charming little game I was not expecting to enjoy this much.

The game is like a lovechild of No More Heroes, Persona and a sprinkle of mecha goodness with super engaging turn based combat, a great cast of characters with dynamic relationships and interesting backstories, I frequently found myself trying to exhaust every dialogue option I could just to learn more about these characters and to learn more about the world they inhabit

Don't let Wolfstride fly under your radar!

Ehhh, presentation is beautiful with its fun art style, voice acting and stylish combat.

I just found the characters unfortunately so unlikable that it got in the way of being able to enjoy the gameplay. I wish they had more work put into them to make them more consistent with the world they were inhabiting. I just couldn't really understand what the aim was with the tone, it was distracting me away from the story. The pacing was also just off for me. Noticeable right away when you're thrown right into things with a flashy first impression then it sorta comes to a crawl.

I especially felt super weirded out with how empty streets are where you traverse and weird time killer between each major area that just makes no sense why exists.

Worst of all was as soon as I started feeling these mini games eating away at the pit of my stomach with how bad they were, yeah, no, I'm done. I felt my time being disrespected and no cool mecha combat is worth it if im forced into playing some of the worst mini games ever created to access it.
