    Incredible story that is lovingly crafted about era long since gone by interweaving highschool politics with high fantasy DnD

    Cons:
    Game crashed 4 times through out my playthrough
    Early game can be a bit too easy before the challenge ramps up towards the end.

    Great game. I love how it feels like friends gathering to play a dnd game. Even the characters take on the typical personalities that you would find when getting people together to play a tabletop game.

    The story is great. Top marks. The gameplay is good. It feels a little basic and easy at times, but you can challenge yourself to go for the “medals” but completing a level within certain    Great game.     The gameplay is good. It feels a little basic and easy at times, but you can challenge yourself to go for the “medals” but completing a level within certain parameters (you can repeat previous levels as well).

    My slight issues are that the load times when traveling between locations is noticeably lengthy and I wish there was more variety in the enemies, but it makes sense why not.

    I think if you like dnd or like tactics types of games or if you want a great short story then this is worth picking up.    … Expand

    -A really wholesome game. Even though the cast of NPCs are caricatures they somehow still feel genuine and believable
    -Feels like a love letter to not so much the game of D&D as much as the act of getting together to play it. There were so many offhand comments and asides that gave me cause to smile. -Although you get slight upgrades as you go on, you pretty much play through    The good:

    The bad:
    -The biggest thing stopping me from giving this a better rating is the poor optimisation for Switch. The load times between very small areas are off-putting, and hard to understand given what the Switch is capable of. There's a few times where you need to go back and forth between areas and it's a real pain because of this. Would love to see it get an update to help deal with this. Alternatively, I'm guessing that the PC version wouldn't have the same issues    … Expand

    A great game, with such a lovely heartwarming story. Great characters, very believable. Writing in general is fantastic, and so is art design.

    I think the difficulty is also spot on - early game eases you in and explains the mechanics, while closer to the end I felt quite challenged.     Other than that it’s a fantastic game, one of the best I played on Switch, and just so wholesome.    … Expand

    While the gameplay can be a little bit slow in Wintermoor Tactics Club, the battles are amazing and the story is very intriguing. It is a small, charming little tale that is very enjoyable and has obviously had a lot of work put into it. This title is recommendable to anyone that enjoys strategy table-top games like Dungeons & Dragons. It is wonderful when played on-the-go.

    At the end of the semester, Wintermoor Tactics Club earns a passing grade for its accessible gameplay and charming story beats, but there’s red ink all over the Switch’s performance. If you don’t mind frequent loading screens and stuttering, consider grabbing this version for the portability, but playing on PC might offer a more enjoyable experience.
