This game is steaming pile of **** The driving is what I was interested in and boy was I disappointed. It's horrible. The car doesn't behave like a car at all. It's more like a picture on top of a tack. The tack spins in the middle and the picture of the car turns with it. That means that when you try to turn your trunk hits walls because it sticks out to the side. There is no damage toThis game is steaming pile of **** The driving is what I was interested in and boy was I disappointed. It's horrible. The car doesn't behave like a car at all. The driving is pointless! The only thing the dev cared about was the dialogue.
Unfortunately the dialogue is also horse****. It's basically a left wing weirdo's wet dream of what a true liberal feminist should be. The problem is that there is no real character behind the words. The dialogue lines come across like they could be titles of English 101 papers at a liberal college over and over. It's one dimensional and boring

Oh dear god, I don't even know where to start on this one. Maybe I'll just break it down with the easy pieces first.

Music: There's like six or ten tracks in the game. Hope you enjoy listening to them over, and over, and over. Art: The art and environments look nice. That's it. It looks nice. Nothing more, nothing less. Writing: As a fellow writer, I don't feel right

Writing: As a fellow writer, I don't feel right critiquing this. I don't feel like I understand what they were trying to express. It's just so damn convoluted. If this game has a message, please message me and let me know. I feel like for a game that takes place during a civil unrest in Italy that brings up subjects like religion, domestic abuse, homosexuality, and abortion, that it should have a message, but it just doesn't go anywhere.

Gameplay: Whooo-eeee I really need to start looking up videos on the games I buy before I buy them rather than just watching the trailers on the store. The idea of a story-based driving game really caught my attention. But just to give you an idea, you could leave your controller, go outside and smoke three cartons of cigarettes, and you wouldn't miss a thing. In fact, you would find yourself at the end of the level. That's right. You have diddle-squat control over that car of yours. And there is no consequence for driving in the other lane or turning the car around backwards. It'll just keep moving forwards. I hope no one actually is trying to seek a certain series of events or story in this game as the way that the plot divides is about as controlled as a teenagers masturbation habits. That is to say, not at all. To give you an idea of the logic this game uses, go outside. Go outside right now. Pick a fruit off a tree. Now your girlfriend gave birth to an alien emperor. Did you feel a lack of interaction and influence in that? So did I while playing this.

Wheels of Aurelia brings forward a hybrid between a visual novel and a driving simulator, where the dialogues are topical and captivating and give the game a unique flair. Disappointingly, Wheels of Aurelia does not mange to fulfill all its promises and the game's interaction ends up feeling short and the way the dialogues are carried out does not live up to the game's premise.

We certainly need developers willing to take risks and experiment with different ideas to move the industry forward, but unfortunately not every new idea is going to work. As with every niche I’m sure there is an audience that will appreciate the beautiful visuals and pleasant soundtrack, but for me I just couldn’t get past the uninteresting back stories and repetition of playing through the same experience to get slightly different endings.

Wheels of Aurelia is a disappointing attempt at bringing the Visual Novel genre to the Switch, it's too short to be engaging, and at its current price tag seems a bit too steep.
