    1/10, not worth your time, i love trading card games, but this one is so slow paced and dull. First you and your opponent take 2 minutes just setting up your "champions" which are your permanent cards you set on the field. Then during your turn, you dont draw a card, instead each turn you get two "actions", and you can either use an action to play a card or if you end your turn you may1/10, not worth your time, i love trading card games, but this one is so slow paced and dull. Your health is determined by deck building so it varies but you get around 30 to start with, which makes the fights with decks that like to heal last forever. Then comes the fact this a free to play game with a free to play economy, so new players will feel underpowered and virtually unwelcome in the competitive mode. Speaking of, despite this games fundamental flaws i decided to try the competitive mode, only to find that i had to play 10 meaningless matches of casual versus mode before i even unlocked competitive, then five matches of competitive to be ranked Why couldnt i jump right in to ranked by starting from the bottom and working my way up similar to how its done in Yugioh Duel Links. After my placements i was placed in bronze i expected to be as i was new to the game so my deck was a bit lacking. Even in bronze tho i was faced with opponents far out of my league, the free to play model showing its ugly head, the game trying to get me to pay for premium cards and booster packs, which of the game had been more welcoming i would have, but it felt more like a chore to play than it was fun. If your looking for a fun card game to play on your Switch just wait for Yugioh Legacy of the Duelist:Link Evolution.… Expand

    The game has unique mechanics that are genuinely fun to put into action, but it's still a generic monetary title. Developer PlayFusion plans to continue updating the game by adding new content. Champions has more longevity to it than other CCGs out there. It's an entertaining title for a time-sink for when you're waiting at the doctor's office, but it falls short of being a good console game.

    Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Champions managed to impress me in multiple ways. While the game looks nice enough, the presentation is purely background for some fantastic gameplay elements. The grid system and its approach are really fun to play around with and give you just tons to consider. That being said, the tutorial can be a bit confusing and throws you into the game proper with very little care. Once you get over that hump, you will find that it can be learned through a number of games. There are deliberate systems at play, but the game guides you to where you need to go.

    Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Champions is not your typical card game. It adds some simple rotation changes that end up adding a thick layer of strategy to the entire gameplay design. All of this sits on top of neat and well thought through card designs and is driven by a solid difficulty arc that forces you to learn the ins/outs of the gameplay.
