The servers always down, enjoyed the 40 minutes of playing I've been able to, looks good and was fun, couldn't see any real issues with gameplay.
4 days on still waiting for server connection, real shame, no info from providers compounds the annoyance. Why rush it if it's not not ready. So pleased I've not bought anything yet, nor am I likely to,

Really needed a COD style shooter on switch and this fills that gap for free. It has a decent variety of game modes and so far (about 10 hrs in) I have seen no need to spend any money on it. The micro transactions are mainly cosmetic. Its definitely worth a try for free.

The online fps switch needed. Very fun, good graphics and free, the only downside is that at times is a little pay2win

Developers peddle horrible unplayable games regularly on the switch, often charging obscene fees for a product that barely works as marketed. Warface is not one of those games. Warface is not one of those games. Namely, because it adds solid title to a majorly underwhelming line up of first person shooters on the Nintendo Switch. One could argue this game is overshadowed by the likes of Doom and Wolfenstein, both being triple A titles. Warface adds a multiplayer FPS to the switch with its release. The graphics are no where near perfect, but I wouldn’t expect them to be given the hardware its operating on. Micro transactions don’t feel that forced to me as it seems like there are plenty of opportunities to unlock items with play. The maps are huge and varied. The multiplayer game modes are bare bones, with enough variety to keep things interesting for a while. Coop missions are fun enough, though feel a little generic if you’re used to other titles like Halo and Call of Duty. Overall, I feel that this game is perfect for what it is. A free to play, modern military shooter you can play on the go. Much better than CoD mobile or anything I’ve played on the Switch as well for a shooting game. Check this one out for yourself. Expand

A decent little shooter. Quick to get from lobby to game. Not a game that is pushing ads in your face all the time. Quite responsive. Good mix of maps. I wouldn't be surprised if this game became quite big on the switch.

Do you like multiplayer shooters? if yes, then Warface should provide a satisfying experience. It free to play and provides decent content. However, it is slightly buggy and may not be great for people who prefer single player games. However it free to play, and therefore should at least be given a chance by all Switch users.

The main reason to play Warface on Switch is that it is free to play and that there is no proper Call of Duty game so far. With no real competition you could go so far as arguing that Warface is the best military shooter on Switch. That doesn't make the game particularly good though.
The graphics are OK at best. I can deal with the lower resolution and bad texture filtering. But

The graphics are OK at best. I can deal with the lower resolution and bad texture filtering. But unfortunately the performance is terrible in a lot of matches. There is a lot of microstutter which will absolutely ruin your game if you are playing at a high level where you can kill or be killed in a matter of miliseconds. The game is also buggy and has bad netcode. There have been so many instances where I got shot through walls or where shots that should have 100% landed were not registered by the game.
Also the game is pay to win. You are constantly encouraged to buy better items and weapons which oftentimes you can only buy with real money. The game is still mostly playable as a casual game but if you are playing at a high level this is terrible if your enemy has a weapon and armour that is superior to your own.
PvE missions are quite hard (propably to sell microtransactions) and can be dreadfull if you get teamed up with a bad squad.

All in all: Warface is the only proper military shooter on Switch right now and therefor is the go-to Nintendo Switch shooter to play some quick rounds of PvP. But I personally will leave this game as soon as a proper CoD or another alternative releases on Switch.

Definitely recommend at least trying! I downloaded this game two days ago and I'm totally addicted. Playing on the Amsterdam server from London the game can be laggy or sometimes slow but, all in all its worth a ago. You have nothing to lose.

Very enjoyable. Bit laggy and servers can be an issue. Match making is annoying sometimes and casual feels like ranked depending on whose on which team. Not as Pay to win as PC but they may eventually add more P2W features.

The game is super fun to play with friends and have a good time online and its one of the first FPS games in NINTENDO Switch so its good to have it in the store. But the matchmaking is such a bad thing cause low level players always need to deal with squads of high level players and it will be better to have chances for new ones to have a good time playing with others of the same level.

As any switch game that runs smoothly, it's not visually appealing. PvP is good compared to the almost non-existent competition within the genre on the Switch. PvE is also enjoyable, but some level design issues will make levels way more difficult than they claim to be.

More interesting game modes are needed, if you work a little more you may have an excellent game

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Content: I've been playing Warface since 2019. In the span of almost 2 years, they only managed to add one game mode (Battle Royale). One. Game. Mode. Not only that, but adding new weapons or armors, just overall variety in these categories was and still is rare. We would get too excited whenever my friend and I would see that there were some cool new stuff in the shop. Only 2 decent maps have been added in the 2 years, with the reset being trash.

Monetization: You can buy weapons. You can buy armors. You can literally pay for advantage. I woulda been fine if it was cosmetic, it's expected as a free to play game. But no. They JUST HAD to add prices to 2/3 of the items. While you can earn weapons, armor, attachments, eventually, it just takes sooooo long to get all that stuff and ooooooooooOOOOoooo. You see that you can buy a booster for that. You can pay for boosters (with real world money) to decrease the time to level up, increase the amount of cash you get, crowns you get, and the decrease the amount of time required to get the earnable items. Right now, pretty much all of the weapons as of May 21, 2021, (I have no clue how long it's been like this), you can't purchase weapons with the in game cash. You can rent them with in game money you get from using your mom's credit card, but that's about it. Even better, they have loot boxes, where you have a chance at getting permeant weapons or temporary weapons to use :].

Variety: There are tons of stuff you can get in this game. with a few fun modes. Ranked is pretty neat, you can earn free things from it. Overall, the PvP part of the game is done pretty well. Now about the PvE. The co-op missions are normally kinda fun, some cool stuff in there, sometimes reach a annoying parts, with there not being that many missions in co- op, it's still semi-enjoyable. Now about the Spec-ops. Imagine Modern-Warfare (2019) when it first released with spec-ops. Not in terms of the amount of missions, but the everything else. It is absolutely horrid and infuriating. There are so many enemies that you KNOW you are going to need revive tokens (which you can pay for with real world moneeeeyyyy). Missions take long and are not fun (except for the horde defending ones with zombies, but even then, they're still not all that great). You are also going to need at least one of every class in your team, so if you have a class slot that hasn't been filled by another player, you're team is destined to fail.

Extras: The graphics on consoles aren't really good (it would at least be understandable for Switch, but can't say the same for Xbox and Playstation). The settings and customization is fun to mess around with, so that's something good.

Overall: This game is mediocre. Basically, this is what you have whenever you ask your mom if you can get CoD and she says you have CoD at home. The multiplayer is fun, the Co-Op is okay, along with the gameplay being okay, and everything else just kinda sucks. I would love to see this game do better, but if they keep up with this monetization and little content and don't fix their Spec-ops, I have a funny feeling their player base is going to diminish. Is this game worth your time? Personally, I think so if you're just looking for a fun casual multiplayer and cooperative experience with some buds and don't mind all the monetization. But if you have CoD, or (personally I consider better) Battlefield, you would probably have a better time playing those.

Nintendo Switch is really racking up a decent selection of shooters. Warface isn’t particularly pretty, and its approach to content access means you’ll likely spend most of your time playing with rented items and weapons, but it’s still brought solid asymmetrical online FPS action to Switch in a way no other shooter has managed thus far. It might not have the slickness of the bigger boys in the genre, but with stable performance in both modes and a huge amount of content (both now and in the future) the likes of Payday 2, Paladins, Fortnite and Warframe now have another rival for your online hours.
