Mar 14, 2020A charming and fun RPG with a strong Paper Mario vibe. Unique timing/stamina-based combat system is the game's highlight. I also enjoyed the silly writing. Nice art direction and music. The level design is probably the weakest aspect as there is way too much backtracking, and the layouts are a little confusing.. A lack of any kind of map also doesn't help matters. Definitely worth a play!

Oct 12, 2020I freaking love underhero, i found this game a while ago and i fell in love. Sure it has some flaws but there are in my opinion more pro 's then con's. Please consider buying it because it's a masterpiece.

Jul 23, 2020Underhero is a great game with memorable moments and an engaging battle system. I definitely recommend it if you're a fan of the Mario RPGs.

Oct 12, 2020Underhero is a wonderful game. The characters and dialogue is the best, CHANGE MY MIND. The music is also great and it made me want to dance. The battle system is also cool and it made the game exciting. If you like games like Nefarious and Paper Mario, then this game is for you.

Jan 8, 2022Overrated, unresponsive and for the most part a boring game, which does have bright spots (dialogues and the art style), but overall is a regrettable purchase.

Oct 12, 2020Solid game, really fun battle mechanics and engaging story. Have played through twice and will do a third run soon. Highly recommended, as it is very underrated. Only issue is some minor pacing issues during platforming segments. Great indie game!

May 13, 2023this game has great gameplay story and soundtrack my only complaint is the combat is a little bit too slow

Nov 23, 2020The title UnderHero gives a hint about what the game is about, but it also shows the game's rather unassuming nature. With its exploration-heavy gameplay, creative combats and a plot that gets completely flipped upside down early on, Underhero grows to be a marvel of an experience that only gets the player more and more interested right around the same time as other games start losing their interest.

Oct 13, 2020Despite minor flaws with presentation and control, UnderHero proves itself to be a rewarding experience that frequently surprises with its ingenuity and writing. This isn’t exactly a ‘go out and buy it now’ kind of gam, but if you like the sound of it, you likely won’t be disappointed by the content on offer here. It's not perfect, but a well-paced story, engaging combat system, and beautiful world make UnderHero a game that rarely disappoints, and we’d recommend it to anybody looking for a good ‘deep cut’ for their Switch library.

Oct 12, 2020UnderHero is a hidden gem of a game with a brilliant soundtrack, a great cast of characters, and an engaging combat system. However, the game is dragged down slightly due to issues in the game's pacing. Its humour is consistently witty, and its story often emotional and inspired. It is a must-play game for anyone who wants a game similar to the early Paper Mario titles.
