Under the Jolly Roger is best described as so-so. As mobile ports go, I’ve certainly seen a lot worse, but if you want something deeper, keep looking (or, of course, just get Black Flag instead).

(Maybe they meant 3 business weeks?!)

Secondly, the issues that I had tried to report to them were minor things that would more than likely be resolved by simply replying to my request(s).

Thirdly, although the game looks like it has potential to be a truly great game, it is plagued by ship customization bugs, frequent game freeze ups, and a lack of a comprehensive tutorial to help players get familiar with how to enjoy the game to the fullest.

Lastly, I understand when games use ad banners to promote their own DLC within their games, it is obviously the best place to have such ads, HOWEVER, the ad banner in this game for the Jade Sea DLC is intrusively large and rests in the upper left hand corner of the screen and takes up at least 25% of the left corner's visual space. Now I would have no problem with that if purchasing the banner DLC would remove it, but it DOES NOT!!! In order to immerse yourself in a game, it is necessary to have as little clutter as possible, gauges and other HUD things that actually assist game play are obviously needed, but not an ad banner that SCREAMS BUY ME!!!!

I will update this review if in the rare chance that anything changes, but I would not recommend this title to anyone that doesn't want to be stressed out with anxiety the way it has done to me.

This game has to be the WORST pirate game ever!!!

Not to be forgotten is the FACT that there is an insanely LARGE banner for the DLC Jade Sea in the upper left corner of the screen that is ALWAYS present when you are docked in a port, one would imagine that if you were to buy the advertised DLC the banner would most assuredly disappear..... NOPE!!! That obnoxious banner for the DLC that you purchased will obstruct your view for an eternity.

Reaching out to customer support is equally as disappointing as the DLC banner, multi social media requests have all gone unanswered for longer than it would take you to sail a ship from Miami to the Caribbean.

To sum it up, if you DO NOT wish to be plundered by the pirates who are selling this game you should set sails on a different course to avoid a most certain disappointment and loss of funds.

While the game is open world, it is straight forward at the same time. My rating of 8 comes in at sheer fun factor. The game is fun. Nothing else needs said. If you like open world adventure games with RPG elements, then you should buy this game. Full Review »
