    Wasn't expecting much but wow it's a totally engaging monster raising simulation game far above my expectations! The graphics, music, and gameplay are all too notch, I just couldn't put my controller down even after 20 hrs of nonstop playing!

    Woah Kaiju Monster Rancher is amazingly addictive! It is so sweet and satisfying to raise your monster up to a certain level and see them grow and grow. This game has the right amount of difficulty too to keep things challenging and fresh and fun. Try it out cuz it is soooooooooooo fun!

    I wasn't sure about this game but turned out to be pleasantly surprised. Monster Rancher is legit! Watch the trailer and see how cute and adorable it is. Man I love my monsters so much and gotta create more of them now.

    In my opinion it almost feels like Monster Rancher 5 and what i mean by that is it feels like a mainline Monster Rancher game. They explain lore wise why the Kaiju exist and it's set in the normal monster rancher world.

    There's some classic monsters in the game too which are giant form. Story wise the monster discs placed on a kaiju alter makes them huge.     It has an online verses mode so you just seem to fight another players monster but i haven't really used that feature and i'd assume if you use the physical asian version it will work because it'd still know your systems home location but i can't promise.

    The final verdict is this is a very fun monster rancher game! I have always loved the series but i was very worried that this one wouldn't feel like a monster rancher game and it's been almost a decade since they've made one so the team most likely has never worked on past games and i know nothing about ultra man. So i was worried that it might feel like it's more about the Ultra man series and Monster Rancher is just a secondary idea to make the game a bit more interesting.

    Great game. I love the concept of raising a kaiju. If you love Monster Rancher games this is for you.

    It's been 16 years since the last time I played Monster Rancher. While I don't know too much about the recent Kaiju the game really hit the nostalgia spot with Eleking, Alien Baltan :'). I can feel the developer love when they're making this game. Currently playing for total of 26 hours, it's really a good game!

If you liked Monster Rancher 2 you'll love this, give the Kaiju a chance even if you're not familiar with them. You don't need to know anything about the Ultraman series to enjoy the game, and the game's story is firmly set in the previously established MonsterTakes Monster Rancher 2 and adds tons of improvements to the systems to make the experience more varied, complex and satisfying.     Ultimate nostalgia trip for old school Monster Rancher fans. If you like Monster Rancher 2, you'll love this one.

    I was fortunate to have found a physical copy in our local game store, as I think this will become rare. As soon I've seen it on the shelves I have grabbed it, for this is a kind of game that brings back all those great playstation one memories playing the old Monster Rancher games and now with the best feature, and that is bringing classic Kaiju monsters from Ultraman universe.

As soon I've seen it on the shelves I have grabbed it, for this is a kind of game that brings back all those great playstation one memories playing the old Monster Rancher games and now with the best feature, and that is bringing classic Kaiju monsters from Ultraman universe.

    This is a monster trainer game where you obtain a Kaiju monster and develop it to be the best fighting Kaiju within its lifetime. The game mechanics were never changed and to my delight, as I enjoyed the old games exactly as they were. The battle system while a little bit weird, just think of it like you were on the coach's side shouting towards your Kaiju on what to do next. Of course when a Kaiju fails to respond to your commands it means it still low dependency to your coaching, and this evident on earlier stages of training your Kaiju. The game does not force your Kaiju to upgrade ranks for every win, you can grind training your Kaiju until it stats are enough to compete higher ranks, of course there are many ways how to speed up the growth of your Kaiju but that is for you to find out.

    The audio and graphics is good, The models are sharp even on my 60" 4k TV, frame rate goes down a bit but not something serious to be picky about. It did a great job presenting the Kaiju monsters, you would really feel how enormous these beings are as the POV is always looking up. Music is always on point with what kind of mood it wants the players to feel. It is definitely a huge improvement over the Monster Rancher remasters on Nintendo Switch.

    I couldn't really complain for any downsides on this game, I think it's great as it is. I would wish though to include Kaiju from other universes, e.g. Godzilla.

    Overall, the main draw of Ultra Kaiju Monster Rancher for me was the refinement of Monster Rancher 2’s systems. It’s great to see the series return and build off the foundation set by Monster Rancher 2 for a modern audience. While I miss the classic monsters, the Ultraman crossover is successful and gives Ultra Kaiju Monster Rancher a unique identity compared to the rest of the series. Most of the kinks of the classic games have been ironed out, distilling the core gameplay into a smooth and welcoming experience for newcomers and experienced ranchers alike.

    Ultra Kaiju Monster Rancher is a very specific title that is going to appeal to a specific audience. What it does it does very well with heaps of charm, but that is counterbalanced by repetition and not a lot of challenge. Much of the dialogue eventually becomes superficial, training animations wear out their welcome rather quickly, making the 'fast forward' option a required feature, and there aren't quite enough monster variations or tournament types to keep it all from blending into the same thing. Despite this, it is still likable, and seems like it would be very much at home on mobile devices. Regardless, it's always going to be a kick to see Ultraman show up to keep a rampaging monster in check.

    Ultra Kaiju Monster Rancher surprised me by its addictive nature. Who knew raising Kaiju could be so engaging? This simulation title makes giant creatures loveable companions, with plenty to keep you busy. I enjoyed this guilty pleasure.
