    The worst game of the series . The gameplay is terrible, the third Person perspective is not the right choice for this game , the graphics is good but the image is too dark and has too much contrast that ruined the beauty of the game . Overall Trine 3 is bad . One advise skip this version and buy only trine 1,2 and 4 because these are great games and deserve total respect for this franchise .

    Unfortunately while this game looks nice the controls are so bad it takes all the fun away. Also very hard to see where your character is, the game is so dark. This game is a stressful experience as you battle with bad controls, visual issues, lots of bugs (especially with Amadeus). Frame rate is slow, levels take longer than Fable games to load.

    Just as great franchises have great highs, they must also have great lows. Trine 3 was too ambitious of a project, ditching the side-scrolling puzzle platforming in favor of a third person action experience. This lead to some neat cutscenes and a story that could have been interesting, but their budget ran out a third into the game leaving the game only 3 hours long and the storyJust as great franchises have great highs, they must also have great lows. Sadly what was left was really bad. Skill trees were removed, and all the character actions were over simplified. Mandatory side quests patted out what little content the game had, and overall it was simply not fun to play. Most of the time the difficulty seemed to come from just trying to make the game work, as several bugs made the already bad experience even worse. When all was said and done, there was little enjoyment to take away at all, making it easily one of the worst games I've ever played.… Expand

    What a mess... First and Second Trine are exceptional great platform and puzzle games and even on Switch they look amazingly stunning. And here comes number 3... 3 like in 3D motion, which is a forced and unwanted update. It changes games mechanics too... say goodbye to your old way of swinging, shooting and conjuring things.     Hard to control due to fixed screen platforming with “3d elements”. Constant frame rate dips throughout gameplay with large NPC on screen.

    I could not experience the game on the Nintendo Switch a lot because the button layout does not make sense, it is not intuitive and it breaks the game. I hope the controller button layout gets fixed in future updates.

    Probably the worst game in its wonderful series, just too easy, and controls look and feel weird. And plot is broken off... But overall - it is a nice game, I guess.

    a buggy mess undermining a poor game. playing online coop we had to restart maybe every fifth level because some part of the level stopped working. finished the last boss by surviving all its attacks. we didn't defeat it but the game just ground to a halt and when we left the level we got a message saying we had beat the game on the host's screen

    3D brings nothing to the game but frustration. The new checkpoint and respawn systems make no sense and do nothing for the game. only get it in a pack with all 4 on sale otherwise avoid.    … Expand

    This was my 1st time with any Trine game (1st on was 2nd) and i really enjoyed my time with it. Played about half the game solo other have in co-op. Graphics look very nice on the Switch and it ran good even with a few things going on at one time. I dont understand why others gave it such a low score. It is a well done game with lots to see.

    Trine 3: The Artifacts of Power has headed into a 3D direction and while the audiovisual qualities of the series remain top notch, the new world in which the game is set does not feel entirely right and the experience ends up getting harmed as a consequence. There is no doubt that the series' co-op component is still one of its main assets but bringing Trine 3 into a 3D world raises questions that don't always get the best answers.

    Sadly, it’s not enough to just look good, and Trine 3 is lacking in several key areas, but it’s still a decent enough romp despite this. It’s hardly the definitive edition, or the definitive game in the series, but if you missed it and you’re gearing up for the release of 4, it’s worth checking out.

    Trine 3: The Artifacts of Power leaves a strange feeling after playing it, since although it is a good game and at the audiovisual level it is still very beautiful, the fact of being easy, short and moving from 2D to 3D is not very positive. It is a shame because it could have been excellent.
