Apr 23, 2021A very solid micro 3D platformer. The retro inspired visuals are fun, and contrast humorously with the various creepy elements that are sprinkled throughout. The music is also surprisingly great. Toree 3D is an enjoyable game, and one which is easy to recommend for the asking price.

Jul 29, 2021Pretty fun little game for the price. The spooky elements feel a little shoehorned in, though the game is still fun regardless. It's a nice game to speedrun and to fully complete with each character, but can be completed within hours.

Dec 2, 2021A delightful nostalgia-blast to the PS1 era of 3D platformers! The controls can be a little finicky at times, and it could last a bit longer, being about a 1 hour playthrough (3-5 hours for 100%). Besides that, the art style is rather cute, and the enemies are almost too adorable to kill! Definitely a must play for its price!

May 16, 2021Toree 3D is a cheap 0.99 cent game, and a fun game to try out if you have some money left in your switch account, I recommend you try it. Mmmmmmmmnnnnnmn.

Jun 24, 2021This game is at 1,25$ CAD and it's so working the price, believe me. It is a good platforming game that match with the ''beautiful'' graphics, I mean for this price everybody can pay it and play it, so I recommend it to every gamers because I enjoy it.

Dec 8, 2021I thought it was just gonna be another shovelware game but i am actually impressed by it. You can see the effort put into it.

Dec 30, 2021How on Earth did this get such a low rating from critics. Unlike its sequel I don't think it's a perfect game the controls are a bit hit-and-miss at sometimes. But the game is literally a single US dollar.

May 3, 2023For the price of 1$, it's fun to play and offers a dozen of levels, more fair than enough

May 6, 2021Like I said, there are all kinds of really terrible games lingering around the outskirts of the eShop, trying to sucker you in with low prices before they instantly reveal their awfulness. Toree 3D may look like it belongs with those other bottom feeders, but if you give it a chance, you’ll probably be surprised and kind of impressed by what you find.

Apr 27, 2021I rather like the mid-’90s 3DO/Saturn look, and there are a few pleasant music tracks, as well. But when I put the nostalgic presentation and low price aside, I’m left with the realization that Toree 3D is a short-lived game I just didn’t find particularly fun. The level design is hit-or-miss, and the camera needs more attention. I’d direct players on a budget to Macbat 64: Journey of a Nice Chap instead.

Apr 19, 2021Going in with diminished expectations no-doubt coloured our impressions, but our brief time with Toree 3D was undeniably delightful. For significantly less than the price of a decent cup of coffee, you get an enjoyably bite-sized, colourful 3D platformer with great music and a fun aesthetic that doesn't take itself seriously in the slightest — and it doesn't stick around long enough to get boring, or for its weak points (and inevitable lack of depth) to become an issue. Big studios who feel obliged to stretch games out for dozens of hours could learn a thing or two from its brevity.
